Chapter Five- The Demon Hunter

Gabby walked into her room and sat on her bed, crying. The burning feeling within her heart made it hard for her to breathe, her father had done it again. She had done everything she could to help her father and try to save her family, yet her daddy's stubbornness and pride was one of his best and worst qualities, at least that's what her mother had said.

Gabby grabbed her phone and called Juanita. The only way she was going to help her dad was to find someone who knew how to kill demons, Juanita's father. She called her friend, hoping.

"Hey Juanita," Gabby began to cry softly," I need your help, my father is in trouble."

"Chica, Chill! Take a deep breath and tell me everything."

Gabby grabbed her Princess Fiona throw pillow and propped herself against her back board, taking a sip of her Kiwi-strawberry water before she began to speak," My father and I are being chased by a demon. The worst part is my father doesn't believe that demons are real. I tried telling him if he leaves again, I can't protect him…"

"Let me guess, he didn't listen!?"

"Yeah, can you help?"

"I know my father knows this missionary team that helped rid our town before we came to America. Do you want to come over after church and talk to him about your demon problem?"

"Can he help me save my Daddy, even if he is on a mission right now?"

"These missionaries killed multiple demons and they saved my father's village and life. I think we can convince my father to call them and tell them your problem. Who knows what kind of reach these demon hunters have?"

"I thought you said they were Missionaries?" Gabby said nonchalantly.

"They are, but I like the title of Demon Hunters, it sounds better than killer missionaries. Don't you think? Would you hire a killer missionary or a demon hunter if you had demon problems?"

"I would hire the demon hunters, I guess." Gabby looked at the time she had spent on the phone, ten minutes, and still she had no solid plan to save her father's life," I need to get help now, not Sunday. Can you please tell your father tonight without having him call my mother, she is already stressed and won't understand the whole demon thing? She will probably get me evaluated if she finds out that I am seeing demons again."

"Again, what do mean again?"

Gabby paused the conversation, trying to think of the right words to say," I can see into the spiritual realm, I see demons and angels." she exhaled heavily, waiting for her friend's judgment.

"Your gift is very common, especially within young women. We women have been gifted with sight…"

"What do you mean women, you're only nine years old." Gabby said with both an attitude and a smile.

"This is the difference between you and I, my dear Gabriella, I may be nine physically, but spiritually and mentally I am three times my age. I was forced by necessity to learn how to fight demons in both the spiritual and mental realms, so I am a woman in that respect."

Gabby didn't know what to say, she wished she had such knowledge in the realms of spiritual warfare. She took a deep breath and said," I need you to teach me how to kill demons and introduce me to the demon hunters, I have to save my father, or he will get himself killed."

"LORD!" an angel said as he entered the throne room, "we have a problem! Jake was murdered, he was the keeper, and now there is no one watching over the sword."

"Daga, I know how close you and Jake are, has he settled into his new mansion? Did he like his surprise, what did Rebecca and Leah say when they saw him?" Jesus said with an ear-to-ear grin, knowing, just looking to console his captain.

"It was a joyous occasion, my LORD," Daga said with wonderment.

"I have a replacement in mind for the job, worry not. You will be meeting him soon." Jesus stood and walked toward his captain," For right now, though, I need you to protect one of my favorites. Her name is Gabriella O'Neil, and she has become a target. Take a legion of guardian angels and a legion of warring angels and cover her until I say otherwise. ``

"Yes, my LORD." Daga said as he wasted no time in following the prince's orders.

"Daga!?"

"Yes, my Prince."

"It wasn't your fault. Jake's death was part of the plan, we need him here."

"Yes, my Prince."
