Sky VS Orion (3)

"Whatever you think you know... you don't," Orion told me. I smiled, knowing he was full of shit.

"You've pissed me off beyond belief... for all of my friends... you won't live to see another day," I told Orion. The Corruption Mode took over and I lost all sense of reason, looking at Orion. I only wanted to see him bleed, and I would stop at nothing.

[Current Heart Rate: 235]

I was far past my limit right now... going even further would shorten my lifespan even more... but it would be worth it, so long as I get to see Orion die.

Our strand swords collided once more and I finally got used to the noise. They wildly sparked as we pushed them closer and closer together, and as I slashed at the sword after pushing Orion back, a shockwave emitted from the point where I hit. It sent water out from around us and wind that would've knocked an unsuspecting person over.

Orion flipped over my body with his strand sword and slashed down at my head. I blocked it, but the pressure from his strength almost caused my knees to buckle and force me down to the ground. I needed to dodge that attack next time.

We slashed back and forth, creating repeated shockwaves on the floating piece of the boat I cut in half.

Blood...

I almost lost my footing after the rocking flipped us vertically. The raft completely flipped over in all of the wind and the side facing the ocean was now facing up.

Blood...

Orion and I were both wet with the ocean's water and with the Glassed-Out Isle in sight... we were almost there.

"GIVE IT TO ME!" I yelled out, grabbing onto Orion's throat with my left hand. He attempted to cut my left hand off, but I pulled back just in time to deflect the sword. To my surprise, the strands he used to make the saber were absorbed into my White Stone.

I lacerated Orion's chest and blood spurted out again. He was looking paler and paler, not standing a chance against me at all.

He summoned the strand sword in his left hand and cut my confidence in half as my right arm and right leg were cut off in the same swipe.

Even if I lost half of my limbs, the regeneration was far too fast and I was able to regenerate them before he could finish me off. I dodged backward as the raft cracked down the middle once more. The arena was split in half again.

"You are fighting for no reason! GIVE UP!" Orion screamed out to me. I shook my head.

"That's just simply not true, I'm fighting to avenge the people you killed whether it be on purpose or inadvertently." I clicked my tongue after responding... I was feeling that fatigue now, even in Corruption Mode. I understood why... I probably had one more burst of energy before falling from the fatigue.

I jumped at him again with my strand sword and sliced at his chest. He blocked it with his stone, just as I used to, and I let the sword fly off into the distance.

[RECALLING ARMAMENT]

My original sword flew straight into my hand even faster than before and I took a severe hit from Orion's strand sword to my chest while cutting both of his eyes out of his head. He was blinded, and if even for a split second... it was all I needed.

My eyes rolled into the back of my head and that viscous red veil covered them with a thickness that was almost blinding. With that veil over my eyes, nothing was visible except for strands that led to open wounds on his body.

I opened my jaw as far as it could go and sunk my teeth into his neck, feeling the tendons and muscles wrap around my canines as I ripped backward with all of my efforts. With that pleasure of blood slipping into my mouth, Orion was even more stunned.

I summoned that strand sword and tilted my body ninety degrees in the air, spinning like a whirlpool and slashing down at Orion four times before I hit the ground. His blood painted the wood as his bones started to poke out of his ripped flesh.

When I landed, my knees buckled, this was it... this was the end of this burst of energy!

[Adrenaline Surge: Activated]

My knees supported my weight once more and I slashed while spinning my body in a circle. I could visibly see the wind and air bend around the speed of my strikes and just as I finished spinning, I threw the strand sword and the sword Ellie once gave me forward in a thrusting motion, spun my body once more, and cut Orion in half from his right shoulder to the left side of his hip.

With blood gushing out and fatigue surrounding the entirety of my body, I fell to my knees in front of him, only to be kicked back after his body regenerated. I was lucky enough to fall to my portion of the raft Orion cut in half. I looked up at him... he was perfectly fine, even after my assault of attacks... but he wasn't in Corruption Mode like I was.

I fell out of Corruption Mode and all of my fatigued vanished... what...?

[You Can Thank Me Later]

With a strand sword appearing in both of our hands, I looked at Orion once more.

"I'm thoroughly impressed you had this much power you weren't showing off, Sky. You have my gratitude that I was the first, and last, person to ever see it," Orion commented.

"As much... as I loathe you... I understand everything. Your hatred for Zeal, your drive to exact revenge on him. I get it, I understand everything." I told Orion.

"Oh yeah? What makes you say that?" Orion asked me.

"It's... kind of like what I feel toward you. This hatred... you've incited the death of my friends... I was fine on my beach, I would've been fine living out my time on that beach... but you had to interrupt my way of life... and now here you are, with all of your soldiers dead and on the verge of death yourself... all because you hunted me. I bet you feel pretty stupid, don't you?" I told Orion.

"You have Zeal to thank for that beach. You were the White Stone destined to Corrupt your System... it's unfortunate that you followed that prediction." Orion admitted.

"Enough talking... I'm going to kill you now." I told Orion.
