--Buusu's Perspective--
Why was she standing there so... silently? Illya hasn't moved or made a noise in so long. She's just standing there, acting like she owns the place. I want to kill her so badly.
I've been thinking this whole time... why do I want to kill her?
She ruined things for us and doesn't deserve to live... but there's also a selfish reason hidden behind her true crimes.
It's because I want to be at Sky's level. That damn guy...
He shows up, becomes like a God, and then disappears so suddenly. He vanishes as if nothing happened... yet he did something none of us could do. I constantly think about him, almost as much as Mitra, yet I can never catch up.
I can move at the speed of light, yet I still can't catch up. How is he so far? And what do I need to do to catch up to him?
I'm tired of being under him. I'm tired of my last name meaning that I'm worth less, I'm tired of people dying, and killing... I just want to ask him questions... I just want to see him again.
Illya is standing between us... or so I thought.
What's the guarantee that after she dies, Sky will magically show up? There has to be a way to get to him... and it seems that it relies on Dani.
This Real World they talked about, and Sky's real body... it's different than here, and it seems to be our only failsafe. Our main problem here, standing in front of Illya, is that we need to open up The Real World to The First Trial in order to fight her and get Sky back.
We have strong allies there, and we have to be strong here. It'll be difficult... but it must be done. I learned that from Sky, above anybody else. Some things need to be taken care of no matter what it takes, whether there's pain, blood, or death. This is one of those things.
I don't expect us all to make it out alive, but knowing my selfish desires... I will be alive by the time this battle ends.
Should I strike Illya now? Would she retaliate and kill me? Or even worse... kill somebody else?
I need a surefire hit, just like I made last time. This battle will take coordination. I have to forget what it means to be a human, to feel pain, to bleed. I have to drop those desires to do any real damage...
Wait a minute...
Isn't that what Illya is doing?
No, that makes sense. Illya is doing that. She's not talking to us on an equal level, because as soon as she does that, she realizes there's a threat.
I don't imagine her being a psychologically manipulative person, but it's not out of the realm of possibilities... there's a chance we stand a greater fight than we initially thought.
And not to mention, Eo's hit. Something that sounded evil and even caused Illya to spit up blood. She's weakened if nothing else. She's not indestructible anymore. A strike to her heart, maybe her lungs, something fatal for us, that would stop her. It has to. She can't regenerate that ribcage on the floor anymore. That has to be a hint.
Illya can be taken down.
My shaking hands gripped the handle of my katana silently as I peered over at Mitra and Myth. Their looks were grim as well, fearing Illya as they looked at her.
"You can be killed, can't you?" I said. Maybe it was stupid... but stupid is what she called us, this was in character, as far as she knew.
"Probably not by your dull blade... and flimsy resolve. I can only be killed with powers that are greater than yours. This isn't the Isle, this isn't some stupid competition, this isn't the Four Horsemen. You're fighting a God. You've done more damage with words if we're being honest. You're not fighting a fathomable opponent anymore. I have abilities that you can't even process." Illya said.
"You kind of talk a lot, don't you?" I asked her.
Illya tilted her head and shifted her whole body. My hand tightened on my katana.
"Are you... insecure?" I asked again. Illya's body language was slowly starting to turn. There's a chance... there's still a chance this could work.
"Insecure? About what? Are you insecure about the guy I like watching over me while I provoke a God? Do you think you're impressing him?" Illya asked me.
How could she have possibly known that?!
"Sky's a talker, you know? I know your secrets. It sucks, he trusted me, and your secrets come back to haunt you. All I have to do is punch you in the face to trigger PTSD, don't I Boo? And I weaken Mitra and Myth by hurting you, and then take on Belle and Alexia alone while they're dead from my attacks." Illya told us.
"Why are you telling us all that?" Belle asked Illya.
"You are all so set on one track of thinking that it won't matter. I could strike now and you would still fall into my expectations. There's nothing you can do that I wouldn't expect and know how to react. You're simply not at that level yet. And it's not your fault, it's Ali's, for giving you that chance at the life you didn't deserve." Illya said.
Yeah... I'm going to kill her.
She's an asshole. She deserves whatever attack I throw at her.
Eo mentioned something... my SIM. Strand Incarnation Mode. It looks like I'll have to use that. She can't be expecting that. Not from me at least.
I used to not know what my ability was because I didn't know I could do it. However, when I think about it... my SIM, along with Belle's, Alexia's, and even Shike's... could always do them. SIM is pushing strands to the limit, not creating a new one. It's something my strands can do already.
Create heat.
Create enough heat to push me to the speed of light.
I should be able to wield flames with my speed, in conjunction with my speed.
It made sense when I thought about it. The reason I can't use my ability too much is that I would melt the skin off my bones. Pushing myself to SIM and using my ability once would be it for me... but it would produce results.
I don't care how much it ruins me. Results are what we need above all else.
