Near the sight of Quake's final defeat, in which craters were sprawled all around from the attacks by Sky and Cole's fight, an army of just over a thousand soldiers stood between Sky and the Red-Haired woman who reminded him of Red.
"We were here to reclaim Zealous now that it's destroyed... it's just like Genesis told me, it would be up for the taking after today," The red-haired girl named Ultima told Sky. Sky curved his head upward, watching her face turn sour when realizing that Sky wouldn't give up what he had been defending.
"I won't let you touch what doesn't belong to you," Sky told her adamantly. Between Ultima's army and Sky's strengthening resolve, nothing would break him.
"Look at that, an Asterio being possessive... kill him, leave no survivors," Ultima told her army. She turned exceptionally sour, pulling a chair out of a nearby tent to sit and watch Sky fall to her unnerving amount of soldiers in front of him. Sky knew for a fact that unless the soldiers had some sort of ability he didn't know about, he wouldn't be losing this fight.
Sky walked one step closer, brandishing the Mahina Armament by his side while watching the first group of soldiers run toward him.
"So be it," Sky said to himself, matching their walking speed to meet with the soldiers in the middle.
With a formation of soldiers standing in front of Sky that looked to dismantle his strength, the group all wickedly smiled at the sight of an Asterio in front of their eyes. The shields were planted into the ground as Sky ran straight at them with the Mahina Armament prepared.
He swung upward, cutting through the steel shields like it was nothing, and decapitating three people with one strike. Sky hadn't been accustomed to killing human soldiers, not like he was to powerful opponents like Quake, Providence, or Rubeki. The ease with which the blade glided through their throats was surprising to him.
Sky jumped through the crowd, picking up a metal shield, and splitting the people remaining in the formation around him in half. Their sullen bodies collapsed to the floor in a mess of pink innards and spewing blood. Sky, with now five kills tallied under his sword, continued to walk toward the other soldiers.
"FIRE!" One of the guards said. With a red tail on the top of his knight helmet, the important-looking guard was able to call upon a volley of arrows directly aimed at Sky's position. The guard was absolutely certain it would be the end for Sky, until a glimmer of light came from the shattered White Stone on Sky's left hand, sending arrows back at twice the speed and imploding the wood upon impact.
Ultima leaned forward in her chair as an arrow whizzed past her head, watching Sky intently move up the ranks of soldiers to get closer to her. At that point, soldiers had completely surrounded Sky in an attempt to stop him. Sky turned his head, losing even more emotion in his face as he swung the Mahina Blade to the front of his body.
"For my entire life... I was told that all I would ever amount to be is a murderer, a cold-hearted killer because of my name," Sky began. The soldiers came in closer, with shields propped up and spears poking out as they surrounded him.
"All because of that name... Asterio..." Sky continued, turning his head up and moving the hair out of his face.
"That damn name... nobody even cared about who I became with my new life... they were all too upset with what I did in the past," He said, watching the spears close in all around him.
"I'll give you one chance to run away,"
"If anybody runs, they will be killed,"
Ultima interjected on Sky's proposal to save lives, shooting up out of her chair and watching the battle begin once again.
"I'll be that villain... I'll be that person you all hate and fear so much... I will be Sky Asterio," Sky said. He dropped the Mahina Blade in the ground, summoning two black and gold sabers connected by a strand at the very bottom of the cylindrical handle, and swung them through the shields. He cut through everyone seamlessly, invoking a river of blood on the ground as he simultaneously cut over fifty people in half who surrounded him.
Through the river of blood flowing and spewing all around him, Sky cracked a smile while running in the northern direction toward Ultima.
He slashed upward toward people who came at him, grabbed them by their throats, and body-slammed them into the ground, getting up and decapitating them with a simple cut to the throat. As four people ran at Sky with spears being thrown, he jumped over one, slinging his legs over his head from a delayed flip that threw off the next soldier. He grabbed the soldier's head, twisting his neck until it snapped and broke the bone, and jumped in the air with his legs spread into a splitting formation.
He kicked the remaining two soldiers with his heels, launching strands through them and blowing chunks out of their unsuspecting heads. Sky landed on the ground with blood caking the bottom of his boots, impeding his movement. He took the boots off slowly and walked around in the bloody mud to the next group of soldiers while the smile on his face got bigger.
"You want something to fear? A reason to be afraid? A reason to unite against the most powerful person left on Earth?! FUCK IT! THEN SHOW ME YOU'RE WORTH MY TIME!" Sky screamed out. His unhinged demeanor started to visibly shake the soldiers he plowed through with his sabers.
He swung them all around in a curved arc, pushing the ground up by twenty feet from the impact point, tackling unsuspecting soldiers who didn't brace for the impact to the ground in a bout of cracked rock.
Any soldier behind Sky tried to poke him with a spear, only to be retaliated against by Sky catching the spear, snapping it in half, and inserting it into the attacker's throat.
The second soldier that tried to hurt Sky had the spear turned on him, placed into his stomach, and was split into three cuts from one of Sky's attacks. He sighed as the sabers glimmered in the sunlight and the transparency of the blood that coated them.
