"Ever since the beginning of recorded history, but probably even before that, the Asterios has been a clan of people so advanced in both speed, strength, and intelligence that they've been unmatched. They spread across the world, sharing their strength, their speed, and their intelligence. Some of them were even able to wield specific parasites in their bodies that heightened their abilities. Strands, as they're called today. They only appeared in those who had Ichor flowing in their veins, the blood of the Deities. So many Asterios became Deities and became unrivaled, grew Kingdoms, and killed their foes. They dominated the world, with no end in sight," Ultima explained.
The days had shifted, turning into March 30th before Ultima met up with Netsu again. They both united on the outside of the house she pointed at near the top of the ring structure floating in the sky.
"As all stories go, there had to be an equal force capable of taking out an Asterio, one so powerful that it would make them fear their power, and learn to conceal it. A clan of people so powerful that not even Eirikr Asterio with his current power can win... The Vega's," Ultima finished. She opened the door to reveal a muscular man, dressed in pure white clothing, with a straitjacket, Mahina Chains wrapping all around his body, a blindfold, earphones, and a muzzle around his mouth. Netsu found the sight to be disturbing but knew that he wasn't locked away like this for no reason.
"This was Genesis's last project. His failsafe in case he lost his life. His very last trick that we have to fall back on now that Sky is the most powerful person on Earth," Ultima continued her conversation, allowing Netsu to learn more about the untold history of the Asterio and Vega clans.
"Arthur Vega was the first Vega, a man who separated himself from the Asterio Clan after learning how much power they really had. It was something like psychotic behavior that made him want to melt the ranking. Only an Asterio could take on an Asterio, but Arthur was so much different because he didn't conceal is power, he didn't hold it within him, he manifested it, he gave Ichor a form... and created Ghost Vega, an A.I. so unbelievably powerful that she alone killed half of the Asterio Clan from back then. Civilizations fell underneath the powerful weight of her strength, and with Arthur, the team was unstoppable," Ultima explained.
"That's when the other clans came in. Eternias like me, Achamos like Providence, Zerions like you. After the Asterios fell from power, the Vega's no longer had a reason to hunt them. Ghost and Arthur fell through and died of old age in a place far away, one that Genesis only found recently. He conversed with Cynthia, and unbeknownst to me, had a plan set in motion in case he died. I didn't know this was his plan, but I will say that it's most impressive," She added.
"So, is there a reason there's a person bound this much in your only property in my land? This is ridiculous, let him free," Netsu said. He took one step inside of the room, and as soon as he did, felt the pressure of a thousand tons on his neck. The look was almost as potent as the Gaze of Wrath he felt the day previous.
"If you can take one earphone out so I can call his name, then I will," Ultima suggested. She crossed her arms, knowing that letting him loose wasn't the best idea, but wouldn't be the end of the world.
Netsu struggled with the pressure, slowly walking toward the man sitting in the chair. Every step felt agonizing in pressure, but after a few more steps, Netsu was able to reach for the man's ear and pull out the plug, allowing him to hear.
"Finlis Vega, you are allowed to come out," Ultima said after Netsu completed his task.
From the bindings on his leg, Finlis snapped them with his mind, standing up out of the chair, and collapsed all of his bindings into strands, taking them into his body through a small hole in his chest that regenerated.
"Nova? Hey, I told you to refer to me as Finny, not Finlis. That's not my name! Silly," Finny said to Nova. Netsu was extremely confused at this point, watching a muscular man act so childish wasn't something he predicted to see, but he preferred it to an annoying person.
The entire time, Netsu thought to himself that it was absolutely ridiculous such a powerful man would be contained in a place where he can't be controlled, but it appeared that Ultima had such a stable connection with him that it didn't matter, so long as Netsu stayed on her good side.
Colluding like this was banned by other World Leaders, so moving past the point of recruiting Finny to take out Faith would make Ultima and Netsu criminals, and have their positions as World Leaders revoked. Their heirs, Ultima's daughter and Netsu's son, would be next in line.
"Alright, so say we do take out Faith and therefore take out Sky... what comes after that? We won't be able to go back to our previous standings," Netsu commented to Ultima. She shrugged it off, not showing any care in the world for leading her specified Continent.
"Doesn't matter. Sky Asterio will be dead eventually, and that's what I yearn for. If you want to join, go ahead, if not, then its your loss," Ultima said. It's true that Netsu wanted Sky dead as well, but losing his power in his Kingdom was beyond his wants. However, for the sake of compromising, Netsu sighed.
"I'll allow you to shelter here, to plan here, and to use this place as your base of operations. Until we get results, I'm out of it, and its all your responsibility. I'm sure you can understand," Netsu said. He walked out of the room, lightly closing the door, and leaving Finny and Ultima on their own.
