The Rubeki Mobilized

--Faith's Perspective--

While I was talking to Charlie, I noticed that the air was beginning to grow thicker and thicker. Between my experience with the fake Providence and her attempted summoning, I completely over looked the fact that it could've taken place elsewhere.

And it did.

From the flourishing streets of The Americas, ill-omens began to follow our position as the sewer drains began to shake from the pressure. I watched as one popped out of the paved street.

A real Rubeki.

Looming with black smoke and horrid, sharp claws, the Rubeki looked around from the exposed sewer, connecting its eyes with mine.

"Faith..." It mumbled. I watched in confusion. The dumb Rubeki, who only ever mimicked animals like goats and hogs, were now speaking. Whether it was on purpose or not was up for debate, but the strange truth is that it was communicating.

I summoned a golden saber and quickly cut through the Rubeki while Charlie and Charlotte began to prepare for another Rubeki to come into the scene.

"Those are the Rubeki? Damn... I'm not a fan," Charlie mumbled. It was through his talking that I began to realize the Rubeki returned. If there was one, there were thousands.

And the worst part of their return wasn't their strength, but the idea that disaster continued to follow every step that Sky or I took. We could not escape.

"What do we do? Was that the only one?" Charlie ignorantly asked. It took a moment for my mind to kick into the right gear, but I was hit suddenly with the motivation to protect others.

"Charlie, if there's one Rubeki, there's much, much more. I need you to protect the other people. Maybe if they were to hide in their homes, the Rubeki would gloss over them..." I said to him. As soon as I finished my sentence, the words glared in my vision once more.

[PREDICTION: HUNT KHALIL]

The words in my eyes pulsed and fortunately revealed themselves to Charlie with a quick blink. He caught the words and asked about them intently.

"Hunt Khalil? What is that? The Rubeki are hunting him?" Charlie asked again. He started to look around the streets for any people he could find, telling them to take shelter in their homes.

I was lost, attempting to figure out the plan that the Rubeki set in place. The fake Providence, the Voodoo Doll, Finlis Vega and his quick fight, all of it was far too confusing to me to come up with anything. Perhaps Sky would know...

"I don't know, I just know that we need to get these people away from the Rubeki. Why are they here?!" I asked. The urgency in my mind was beginning to multiply, and sewer grates all along the street were now shaking.

"Faith... good luck out there. If you need help, we're not useless, so come get us!" Charlie shouted out to me. He skipped a step, running throughout the street with a small cross bow banging against his left leg. He shot into the Rubeki, tearing the arrow through their heads and claiming their lives.

I ran in the opposite direction through the clambering street, noticing that a few fork in the roads split me from choosing a decisive path. I wasn't sure where to go, until I found Khalil and Mizu beside me.

"It's you, Shinigami. What's going on? Mizu told me she saw a black apparition," Khalil asked me. He was still under the veil of disguise that I've hidden from him, so he called me that name I came up with.

I thought about the words in my eyes once more, focusing on Khalil as I began to explain.

"The Rubeki are here for you. I'm not sure why, it's mysterious to me, but I'll be here to help you in any way I can," I told him. Khalil confidently nodded with his arms crossed.

"Got it little one! What are you capable of? Any cool things?" Khalil asked me. I wasn't sure if I wanted to reveal what I was capable of to him at the moment, so I shrugged my head, and summoned a golden saber by my side.

"I'm talented, at the very least--" As soon as I began to speak, I was interrupted with six projectiles shooting toward Khalil and Mizu.

Seamlessly, I was able to push my muscles to the largest extent and block one with a quick flip. Next, I landed on the ground and slashed upward, downward, horizontally, and vertically to take out five projectiles in total, catching the last one with my bare hands that stopped before it could hit Khalil.

I dropped the last projectile onto the ground and in the cement underneath my feet, looking at the features of the projectile.

"Woah,"

"They don't just want you, Khalil, they want you dead. What did you do?" I asked him, but he could only shrug in response.

"Not sure! Doesn't matter. You have a unique skill. The first thing we need to do is get Mizu to safety, and reunite with Sky and Dani. Are you sure where they went?"

"No, clue. He should've been the first one here, that's at least the pattern I've recognized,"

I realized what I said too late into my thought out loud, and looked at Khalil with irritation in my only open eye.

Khalil ripped my hood off of my body and revealed my identity to both himself and Mizu.

"Sky was right, it is you, Faith," Khalil explained. My eyes lit up in a mix of confusion and adoration once more. I had no idea Sky knew I was on the boat at all.

"Then we don't need that thing anymore," I added, throwing my hood off. Now that my identity had been revealed, the need for the hood was no longer necessary. I primed myself, searching for the best move to do.

"My, how you've grown, Faith. I finally realize that you do have multiple parts of bloodlines within you. Do you have mine yet?" Khalil asked me yet again.

"I might, you'll just have to see,"
