Deadlock

"Why do you know my name?"

"Does that really surprise you, Lord Red?"

Standing behind the counter, a man with slit eyes and sly grin looks at me with a seemingly mocking mannerism.

"Why is someone from Axi'an here doing business? From what I remember, Joulst closed their walls from the entirety of Visma."

"If you don't know the answer, I assume you failed your geography classes, trainee."

Since he immediately got to my nerves, I pull out my gun from my holster and pointed it at him.

But instead of getting scared, he simply lets out a chuckle and rests his chin on his arm on the counter.

"Who is he, Eis?"

"Eis? That's an interesting alias."

Since this is between me and the Axi'an, I gently push back Garel to not let him get in the way and to keep him safe.

"I have a lot of questions now, but I'm here for something far more important."

"Important? Well, that certainly piques my curiosity."
