The Ancient Curse (Cecillia's Point Of Views)

I screamed in surprise when I saw a pair of eyes staring wide, looking at me from behind the bushes. I sat huddled, protecting myself into the water. Then, I heard a roar that shook the ground under my feet. The water rippled very violently. The vibrations made some of the birds fly away from the tree branches where they perched.

Then, I heard a long squeaking sound. I came out of the water and saw a black wolf biting the neck of a monkey between its neck. The monkey looked helpless, struggling and asking for help to be released from the wolf's mouth.

The monkey's wide eyes reminded me of the pair of eyes earlier. Was the thing I saw just a monkey? I covered my ears, feeling uncomfortable with the monkey's struggling voice.

"Amadea?"

I didn't want to hear that monkey's desperate voice again. I was sure it didn't mean anything bad. I was just a little traumatized by the incident a few days ago when someone came to kidnap me when I was off guard.
