Wedding Plans

"Alex your full dress military uniform is black trimmed in gold with gold aiguillette and lanyards right,?" Lexi ask,

"Yes darling, it is."

"That's the colors I want for our wedding , but of course I will have a white dress and I would like white flowers."

Pam stepped over to a huge closet pulling out a book with an inventory sheet and a box full of pictures .

She came back to the table where she had set up her previous presentation and opened the box with the pictures in it .Pulling out three different pictures of plate chargers , she laid them on the table in front of Lexi and Alex .

"Princess Alexis , "what do you think about these gold chargers?" She ask,

One of the chargers had a plan edged , one of them had a leaf pattern embossed on all four sides but didn't go all the way around the rim .The last one had a engraved baroque pattern all the way around the rim.

Taking a closer looked at the pictures , Lexi pointed to the detailed edges explaining to Pam what liked about each of the charges."I'm not a big fan of the plane one but the other two are just beautiful, glancing up at Alex she ask for his opinion , "Alex which one do you like?"

He was lazily setting in the chair with his head propped up on his hand he didn't brother to even glance over at the pictures giving her an impassive answer.

"Sweetheart I don't care ,what ever you like."

"Excuse me, what did you say." She ask

the tone of her voice icy, the look in her eyes became deadly, if looks could kill he would be six feet under right now.

Composing herself , she politely smiled at Pam speaking in a calm manner." Mrs Green can you excuse us for a moment . I would like to speak to his Majesty in private please."

"Of course Princess Alexis, I will be in my office."

"Thank you we will only be a few minutes."

Mrs. Green stands walking out of the luxurious setting room into her office closing the door behind her.

Exasperated by his lack of interest of the wedding plans she couldn't hold back expressing herself . She glared at him silently for a moment, leaving him to ask."Sweetheart why are you angry?"

"Look you are the one who said we will do things together."

"That's right sweetheart, is that not what we are doing right now?"

Glaring in his direction, her temper flared displeased, and angered she raising her voice until she was almost shouting at him , "look when I ask your opinion I expect an answer ."

"Sweetheart, I thought you would like to pick everything yourself for our wedding."

Aggravated at him because of his impassive attitude, her temper was almost to a boiling point by now. "that's right Alex, our wedding not just mine ." She yelled

Still trying to figure out what has her so upset he spoke softly calmly ."Sweetheart, I really don't know much about plates, flowers and stuff like that."

"You have eyes right, all I ask for is your opinion,what you liked , I didn't ask you to be an interior designer ."

Alex was amused by his little Pets out burst up till now she had been passive and followed along with what ever path he was leading.

Chuckling to himself, "Sweetheart I didn't want to pick something that would make you unhappy for our wedding."

Annoyed , she huffed flustered "If I didn't want your opinion I wouldn't have ask for it . Now are you going to pay attention and participate in making these decisions? Or is this the way you're going to be when we get married ?"

"Sweetheart I'm sorry I didn't think my opinion mattered in wedding decorations."

"Alex I don't care if I ask you what color socks I should put on our child , if I ask you ,I want your opinion, it's that simple ."

Chuckling to himself again ,he decides to smooth his little Pet's ruffled feathers because they really needed to get all of their wedding plans done today.

He pulls her into his arms rubbing calming circles on her back whispering sweetly in her ear "I'm sorry sweetheart you're right . I should have been paying attention and giving you my opinion. Please forgive me, it will never happen again. "

She was pulled into his chest and couldn't see the devilish smile on his face , he was enjoying the fire he had ignited in his little Pet . He was happy to know she was going to stand up to him , and not just go along with everything he decided. But thought it might be best to end his entertainment for for the day, so they could continue with the wedding plans.

" Now sweetheart can we go ahead and choose everything we need together."

"Yes, just pay attention please ."

"I will sweetheart , I promise ." He said as he walked over to the door and ask Mrs Green to come back inside to continue her presentation .

"Did you decide on a charger ?"Mrs. Green chirped

Alex pointed at the one with the embossed leaf pattern.

"Alex. I think I really like the other one better ." She said, running her finger around the edge of the charger in the picture "Look the one with the baroque pattern goes all the way around the rim .And the one with the leaf pattern leaves part of the charger looking dull and unattractive."

"Your right sweetheart it's much nicer,"

Alex is catching on to this marriage thing really quick, what ever keeps a smile on his little Pets face, he really don't care about the damm charge anyway."

Mrs. Green agreed ."The antique baroque pattern it is ,What a lovely choice."

She promptly jotted it down on her note pad. Reaching into the box of pictures she took out three pictures of dinner plates, and laid them on the table in front of Lexi.

"Now Princess Alexis , you need to chose a dinner plate.This is the choices we have here in the Castle with a gold rim, but we can always order something different."

She pointed to the first picture detailing the features of the dinner plate "This plan white plate with the small gold rim, was made by a company down town, they have been making dinnerware for the Castle for over three hundred years."

Pointing at another one of the pictures she pointed out details on the dinner plate and gave Lexi more information about it.

"We have this dinner plate with the Crown Coat of Arms in the center it has a wider gold rim , it was made by the same company down town. "

Finally she pointed to the last one, . "And we have this lovely dinnerware with a black rim with a gold baroque pattern on the sides of the plate. This one was ordered by the Queen mother ,from a respectable China maker from out of the country."

Lexi turned around to see Alex was paying attention and not resting on his propped up elbow . Speaking sweetly she ask him, "Alex do you want the one with your coat of arms in the center?"

"That's the one I would like sweetheart."

"Ok , that's the one we will use." She said, please that he was finally giving his opinion and making a honest effort to participate in making decisions for their wedding.

Mrs. Green was quick to write down the choice of dinnerware in her note book before anyone could send her out of the room.

She looked in the box of pictures and brought out three pictures of crystal glasses. She laid them on the table in front of Lexi and began telling her about the crystal glasses.

"Princess all three have a 24 karat gold rim around the top,"pointing to the one in the middle " this one has a wide gold rim around the bottom of the glass."

Then she pointed to the one on the right side , explaining the difference between to two glasses "this one has a beautiful starburst pattern cut into it."

She then pointed to the one on the left, "this one has the Eddington monogram etched into the glass."

Lexi picked up the pictures bringing them closer to look at them better, seeing that she seemed to be having a problem deciding which one she liked better.Alex stepped up offering to help her out ."Sweetheart I think the one with the gold rim on the top and bottom of the glass would be a good choice because they will blend in perfectly with all the great choices we have already made."

"That's the one I was thinking about too."

Alex didn't want to make the mistake of assuming he made the right choice ." Is that the one we are choosing sweetheart?" He ask just to make sure.

"Yes ,it's beautiful "

"That's an excellent choice Princess Alexis, now for your center pieces do you want tall ones or the shorter ones . The tall ones make a dramatic statement, but the shorter ones are better for conversations."

"Alex what do you think ?"

Being able to make important discussion at the spur of the moment is his forte. For crying out loud ,he has been a commander of the Royal Army ,and he is a King that rules half of a whole country .

Surely he will be able to please his girlfriend with a decision on center pieces from their wedding .

He held his breath and decided to give it his best shot. "Sweetheart , I like the shorter ones for the dining tables . Then have some taller ones scattered throughout the room."

"I like like that idea it sounds perfect," leaning forward she gave him a little peck on his lips ,praising him " that's why I love you, because you're so smart."

"I just want to make you happy sweetheart."

"Yes your Majesty that's a wonderful idea ." Mrs Green agreed.

"Now Princess Alexis do you want gold or crystal candles holders?" Pam ask

" Crystal with white candles."
