The carriage is ready

Feeling a light tap on his shoulder Alex turned around to see Rich standing behind him. They stepped away from the others to speak privately " Your Majesty the carriage is ready"He informed him.

" Okay, I'll tell everyone , we just need to make sure Karmen and Jackson go to the first limousine now." He replied,taking a cigar out of his pocket he handed it over to him. Rich rolled the expensive hand made Cuban cigar around in his hand with a big grin on his handsome face.

" The last time I had one of these was on my wedding day." He smiled and shook his head from the memory.

"Yeah my head still hurts from that bachelor party of yours, that damm moonshine you made kicked my ass."Alex chuckled ,"What did you call that now, Malibu bliss or some bullshit like that ?"Alex ask,bringing his hand up to rub his temple acting like his head really still hurt from the hangover he had ten years ago when Rich got married.

"Yeah, that's what it's called" Rich chuckled "I think that's the last time I seen you in this Uniform too." Rich pointed out as he brushed a piece of imagery lent from Alex's shoulder.

Alex ran his hands down the front of his uniform coat holding his broad shoulders back. He proudly stated , "And it still fits after setting on a throne for twenty years."

" Don't get to cocky ,we will see if it still fits five years from today. Mine still fit fine too until Connor was born ." Shaking his head, he added"I think it has something to do with getting up in the middle of the night. You give the baby a bottle and have a snack yourself and before you know it your pants won't fit"

"Thanks for the warning I'll keep that in mind". Alex said amused , " I'll go get everyone gathered up and tell Jackson and Karmen to move to front limousine."

"Okay Alex, see you out front." He said giving Alex a hard pat on his shoulder he turned and walked back around the front of the mansion.

Alex walked back over to where the other family members were standing. He said " They have the carriage ready let's go get the ladies and head out."

Everyone followed Alex back inside the mansion and placed their glasses on the bar . Alex walked towards where Jackson and Karmen was standing against the the wall. Pausing his steps the moment he came close enough to hear Jackson whispering something about Karmen getting knocked up on his first try. He lifted his eyes to meet his brothers a big smile curled on his lips. Jackson grinned and lifted his dark brows with a slight shrug.

Alex stepped on over to where they stood. He wrapped his arm around Karmen's shoulder and kissed her cheek. He whispered. " So do we have a secret?"

She smiled " Just until Monday night at our wedding reception."

" Positive one hundred present sure." Alex ask with a huge grin on his face.

Jackson nodded, "Yeah ,we seen Dr. Burnheart this morning. We have an ultrasound scheduled for Tuesday morning. Cody is picking us up in the helicopter your welcome to come if you and Lexi want to."

Alex shook his head " No need to bother Cody, I'm flying anyway and I can't wait to see my new nice or nephew." He excitedly said as squeezed Karmen's shoulder pulling her closer to him. " Damm I got so excited, I almost forgot ,you and Karmen need to get in the limousine right behind the carriage. Rich is waiting outside for us." He informed them . Releasing Karmen from his protective hold he turned to go get Lexi who was still setting on the sofa with her mother and Harper.

At the front entrance Lexi smiled wildly at the sight in front her. At the bottom of the stairs was a shiny black carriage trimmed in real gold. The doors boasts a gold crown with the Eddington coat of arms underneath it.

A man in a black suit with a top hat stood straight and tall beside the door . One of his arms was behind his back and the other one rested on the door handle read to open the door for them to enter.

" Is that what you expected sweetheart ?" Alex ask, as they descended the stairs together so elegantly and graceful even their own family was in awe of the beautiful couple.

" Yes" Lexi smiled her most dazzling smile. The one she has when her heart is happy, the same smile that Alex fell in love with. However this time her beautiful smile will be shared with the whole country along with the sparkle in her ocean blue eyes that reflects the love for her husband. Because just as she answered Alex the Royal photographer started filming them as they descended the stairs heading in the direction of the carriage.

Everyone else stood at the top of the stairs and waited for Alex and Lexi to enter the carriage before they themselves descended the stairs for the Royal photographers as Mrs. Pam had instructed them to do at the Castle.

As the carriage started to rolling forward Lexi looked out the window at the beautiful mansion. She sighed, "This is really a beautiful mansion maybe we need to visit this place too sometimes you know, just to keep it from being lonely."

Alex chuckled, " Sweetheart I don't think houses get lonely."

She sighed, " I believe they do Alex, have you ever been driving down the road and see a house that the shutter has blew off or maybe it's grass has become unruly because it owners have left it unattended for a long time. It's not a happy looking house."

Alex chuckled loudly, "Sweetheart we can come here any time you like. But I promise you, I send people down here from the castle every week to take care of the lawn and do any maintenance work on the house so that it won't become one of those unhappy looking houses." His smile broadened as he pulled her into his arms and pecked her lips.
