Hero Class 1-A

{POV Ryuu.}

The start of the year for school started the second week of April during the spring which made the uniforms rather cool. While Mei opted to wear her normal outfit of a loose black tank top and baggy overalls tied at her waist.

"Well don't you look dashing, Ryuu you're going to break so many hearts." Mei teased me as we left the house and headed to, U.A. High.

"I know and I'm pretty sure you'll do the same." I responded back as I lowered myself to kiss her.

Mei gladly accepted as we knew we wouldn't be seeing each other as often as we normally did.

"Just make sure you don't cause too many problems for Power Loader-san, if you can't help it." I said which caused Mei to just laugh in an evil manner as I knew that it would be an impossibility for that to happen.

But seeing her happy and laughing like that made me smile.

When we both got to, U.A. High we noticed one thing about it… it's fucking huge.

Luckily I'm able to retain my memory as if I couldn't then let's just say we would've been lost at least sixty-nine times already.

"Well at least I made it to the class room, fuck this place is huge it beats out my royal palace by far. And that's a huge door, is everything huge here, this isn't that place in America, right?" I said aloud as I shook my head and entered the classroom only to witness two students arguing.

"Don't put your legs on the desk! That is being disrespectful towards your classmates!?" A kid wearing glasses and reeked of being from an elite family and naive to the outside world said in a righteous manner.

"No, as a matter of fact, I don't. Which Middle School you from anyway, you two-bit extra!?"

I started laughing the moment I heard the blonde spiky haired kid call the naive kid a two-bit extra. Only for the both of them to look in my direction as my laugh was pretty loud and was still laughing, making the naive kid frown while the other glared at me. But before I could say anything I heard a timid and small voice from behind and was surprised to see it was the green haired kid from the exam.

Seems like he passed somehow.

"Well, I am in the doorway so that's my fault," I smiled before walking into the classroom.

"And besides, to the elite looking kid you wouldn't last a second in a fight with the other. And that was a great line by the way." The elite seemed to be stunned while the spiky haired kid seemed to ignore me as his attention was drawn to the new kid… interesting.

I quickly found a seat near the back, near the window.

I don't know why, but this seems to always be the best spot in any classroom.

Only to watch the elite kid rush up to the green haired kid and talk about seeing the truth of the exam and saying he was the better man, weird. Then the girl who saved the green haired boy from the exam center arrived, who upon seeing the green haired kid was in the same class was happy. As she started to talk about what to expect from the school and saying 'good things'.

Until a tired and stern voice sounded outside the door. Surprising the trio.

"If you're going to be looking for buddies, do it elsewhere. This is the Department... of Heroics!!"

Everyone was rather stunned as I continued to focus on the voice, as someone in a sleeping bag hopped in the classroom, again weird but okay.

"Hmm, everyone but one took eight seconds to quiet down. Life is short, kids. You're all lacking in common sense."

Oh, he seems to be quite the eccentric individual it seems, he'll be fun.

Then in the middle of the class he crawled out of his sleeping bag. He wore a matching set of black baggy clothes, with a large piece of cloth around his neck. With long black unkempt hair and face.

"I'm your homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa. Pleasure meeting you." There was a small amount of surprise in the classroom when he introduced himself.

Then he reached inside of his sleeping bag and pulled out a suit while saying to put them on and head outside to the P.E. Grounds.

I gotta say the uniform felt great, gotta hand it to the best hero school as they put in the work.

After everyone had put their suits on, we all left to head to the field before Aizawa said something about a quirk apprehension test. Which gave a multitude of different reactions?

I was quite happy as I wanted to see where my ability compared to others as I only really had Jorclan-sensei and Mei to compare myself to.

"If any of you want to be heroes, then we don't have any time for niceties or time to waste," Aizawa spoke in a serious tone as he stared down the class."Do you all understand the school's reputation for freedom on campus? Well, that same "freedom" goes for us teachers, too."

I gotta say he makes the perfect teacher for teaching a bunch of kids on how to be a hero.

"Softball pitch, standing long jump, 50-meter dash, endurance running, grip strength, sustained sideways jumping, upper body exercise, and seated toe-touch. These are all activities you know from Middle School, so naturally these physical tests banned you from using your quirks. The country still hasn't gotten to fixing these types of records or even keeping track of them."

Then he called out to the spiky haired blonde kid as he reacted to his name being called.

"Bakugou, how far could you pitch a softball in Middle school?" Aizawa asked as he tossed a special looking ball over to Bakugou.

"67 meters!?" Bakugou said as he caught the ball.

"Try using your quirk this time around. As long as you don't leave the circle, you're free to do anything else. Oh, and one more thing, don't hold back." Aizawa spoke with a serious tone.

Bakugou smiled in a fierce manner as he started to stretch.

"You got it!" he said as he wound up and just before he threw it, he yelled.

"DIIIIEE!!!"

As an explosion occurred creating multiple shockwaves that broke the sound barrier.

Leaving the rest of the class stunned, while I almost couldn't stop myself from grinning as it seemed I found the perfect person for my style of hero training.

Aizawa didn't even seem phased as he just looked at a type of device while he spoke.

"Before anything else one must know what they are capable of." As he showed a score of 705 meters for Bakugou's throw. "This is a rational metric that will form a basis for your "Hero Foundation."

Everyone seemed to be in awe and impressed with the score as they all shouted out. While one student seemed to be kinda freaking out in the opposite fashion which drew my attention. It was the green haired boy.

"Awesome!! That looks like so much fun."

"705 meters? That's unreal."

"We can finally use our quirks now!? That's the Department of Heroics for you!"

Then everyone's amazement was brought back by the low and stern voice of Aizawa.

"It looks fun… you say? So, you were planning to spend your three years here having a good ol time? What happened to becoming heroes then?" Aizawas voice seemed to come from the depths of Tartarus as he looked at everyone with dead eyes. "All right then. In that case, a new rule: the one who ranks last in total points will be judged 'hopeless.'"

I couldn't have asked for a better homeroom teacher as his speech made me really want to go all out. But I noticed that the green haired kid seemed to be struggling further, as some of the other students were getting ready to take the challenge head on while he was looking like a ghost.

Now why would he act like that, what's going on with him?

"Our "freedom" means we dispense with the students as we please!" Aizawa said as he ran his hand through his hair revealing a pair of fierce tired eyes. "Welcome to this… The Department of Heroics!"

The thrill of the challenge outweighed my current interest on why that green haired kid's soul was about to leave his body, as a large smile formed on my face as I almost burst out laughing.

While the rest of the students were starting to see the reality of the situation as Aizawa didn't seem like he was playing around.

"The kid who ranks last… gets expelled…!?" The girl who saved the green haired kid spoke up with concern and worry. "This is our first day here!! But even if it weren't… that's just too unreasonable!!"

Aizawa just scratched his head as he answered with a lack of interest in his eyes.

"Natural disasters, massive accidents, ego-mad villains. I could go on kid; all kinds of calamities can happen when you least expect them to happen. Japan currently is drenched in "unreasonable"."

I couldn't have said it better myself as I nodded my head as Aizawa continued.

"And it's our jobs as heroes to reverse it all, and restore reason. If you were looking for a friendly chat at the local burger joint after school then that's too bad. For the next three years all you can expect from your life at U.A. is one of hardship after the next. This is "Plus Ultra" so I expect you to overcome these trails and climb to the top."

I really gotta say he knows how to make a good speech as it seems the other students are finally starting to see the reality of the situation click, as the time for fun and games ended. Well let's get this show on the road then, time to see where I stand in this new age of heroes and villains.
