Quirk Apprehension Test.

{POV Ryuu.}

The first test seemed rather easy as it was the 50-meter dash.

Surprisingly I wasn't the fastest as that went to the naive looking elite kid whose time was 3.04 seconds. Which again, really isn't that surprising when he has fucking engines on his damn legs, if he seriously kicked someone, which I doubt he would actually do as he seems rather weak.

I was second as I was right behind him at 3.20 seconds. While everyone else seemed to almost average around four to seven seconds for their time.

But after the test was done, I noticed that some of the other students kept looking in my direction.

Bakugou was one of them as it seemed he was the explosive competitive type; another was a depressed looking child with white and red hair, reminds me of something… why can't I seem to recall. Looks like I'm being challenged or they both just have a very competitive spirit.

But the one that started to creep me the fuck out, was the green haired kid as he just keeps staring with wide eyes while mumbling, staring even… the entire time.

Next was the grip strength test but this time I tied with another student who I would love to spar against as we both matched at 540 kilograms. Our results surprised many of the other students as they started to make a small crowd around both the other student and I.

I ignored them as I introduced myself to the student.

"The names Ryuu, do you train in any martial arts?" I asked with a smile on my face. "If not, you definitely should." I reached my hand out to shake his.

"Mezo Shoji, and yes. What do you practice?" Mezo said in a friendly voice, as one of his tentacles with a mouth spoke while he clasped my hand and shook it.

"Let's just say it's a mixed martial art, combined with over… 200 martial arts to create my own style." I said as I felt his hand stop, then felt an odd atmosphere as everyone else just stared. "What?! It's not that much. Still, you should come over and hang out, it'll be a great time where we can compare notes and polish each other's style."

"Sure, sounds like fun." Mezo said as we continued to chat for a little bit as we ignored the other students as they were still a little surprised.

The third trial was the standing long jump which didn't really have a winner. Only those who either cleared the sandbox or those who didn't.

Then there was the fourth trail of repeated side steps which I felt like someone was supposed to shine here but they never got the chance, oh well probably never mattered anyway.

This challenge wasn't really that hard as I was ranked first but… was being the best in a repeated side to side jumping contest really worth it? No, no it was the fuck not. I'm still confused as to why it's a standardized test for hero foundation.

The fifth trial was the softball pitch.

Bakugou seemed a little upset as he wasn't able to do his throw over as it seemed he could do more. But as the whole trial was going on, the bubbly and kind girl who saved the green haired kid surprised everyone when her pitch happened. As Aizawa just showed the number Infinity on his little device.

"Infinity!!?"

"Holy Cow!! She got an "infinity"."

I was shocked like the others, but remembered that her quirk was related to making things weightless. As my attention was later drawn to the green haired kid as he seemed to be on edge, like a certain addict who needed a fix. Which made things worse for him as his turn was next for the trial.

"Midoriya's not doing too well, is he?" The naive elite kid said with his arms folded across his chest.

"Of course, he's not!! He's a quirk less fucking guppy!" Bakugou yelled as he pointed towards Midoriya and looked at the elite with fierce eyes.

"'Quirk less'? Didn't you see what he did at the entrance exam…" The elite continued to speak but I stopped paying attention the moment he said "quirk less" as pieces of a puzzle started to fill in the missing blanks, and my curiosity came roaring back.

"What do you mean by quirk less, Bakugou?" I asked, interrupting the back and forth between the elite and Bakugou, while I noticed a familiar presence who seemed to be watching the entire trail.

"And make it the short version if you can, as I don't want his whole back story." I said in a way that made Bakugou understand I wasn't in the mood for his shit.

"Huh, that's simple, he was a little pebble, an annoying worthless nobody with no quirk. We grew up together and I knew he never developed any quirk, so I don't know what four-eyes here is talking about!" Bakugou said with a fierce glare in his eyes, as I only smiled when Midoriya's whole act started to make sense.

"Thank you Bakugou, and if you want you can also come over and hang out as it seems you're quite fit for combat also." I said as Bakugou continued to glare at me with fierce eyes as it seemed Midoriya was finally about to throw the ball as his arm started to glow as he threw the ball… 46 meters… ok I call bullshit.

Which seemed to shock him also as he mumbled out loud about using his quirk, before Aizawa spoke with a fierce and terrifying look in his eyes, as he pulled down on the wrapping around his neck revealing a pair of golden goggles.

"I erased your quirk. It defies reason. How did somebody like you manage to enter this academy?" Aizawa questioned as he slowly made his way towards Midoriya. While Midoriya seemed starstruck as he seemed to recognize who our homeroom teacher really was.

"You erased it? And those goggles!?... Oh my All Might!! You must be the hero who can cancel out the quirk of whomever he's looking at! The Erasing Hero: Eraser Head!" Midoriya said while still starstruck as Aizawa continued to get closer.

It seemed that Midoriya and I were the only other students who recognized who Aizawa was as everyone else was confused. As if nobody had heard about him.

"He's an underground hero, he doesn't like the whole media attention as it interferes with his work. You know, being a hero and all." I said aloud, making the others nod their heads as looks of amazement started to spread.

"From what I observed… you can't rein in your quirk's full power. Meaning you can't use it efficiently or at all." Aizawa started to grill Midoriya who still had a look of amazement on his face. "Did you believe someone would come and save you after you crippled yourself again?"

Again? That must have happened at the recommendation exam.

Then that explains why the infinity girl has been concerned about Midoriya, but Bakugou said that he never had a quirk in his life.

What the hell is going on here!? This can't be fucking real!? All Might… his fucking broken quirk?!? What in Ancient were you thinking, All Might? Wait, better question is how?

There is something going on here, and whoever's idea it was, was beyond idoitic… oh wait that definitely fits All Might.

"Whatever hopes you may have nursed of your imminent rescue as you can see, nobody is in a position to come to your aid. There's a certain insufferable hero who made a name for himself rescuing over a thousand innocents from a disaster all by himself. You've his brute courage… but all that'll do is allow you to run around like a chicken with his head cut off, who needs to be saved. Face it, your so-called power won't help you to become a hero, Izuku Midoriya." Aizawa sighed as he closed his eyes and spoke in a tired voice. "I gave you back your quirk, try again, let's get this over with."

The other students continued to chat among themselves as I continued to watch Midoriya as I saw the look in his eye never diminish but intensify ready to accept the challenge and move forward.

I frowned as I recognized that type of look and it was the type I hated the most in a hero. Yet it was the most fun to break in the end, as an evil idea took root.

But as Midoriya stood there he wasn't silent as I was barely able to hear his mumbling as he wound up for the pitch with nothing happening. Until the last moment when I saw that same color change that happened on his arm, now engulfed his whole finger.

As the ball was blasted into the air, breaking a few sound barriers.

Everyone else was cheering and was excited about how Midoriya was able to throw the ball, but it seemed that not everyone was.

I noticed Bakugou seemed like he saw something for the first time, and was refusing to accept it. It seemed a rage was starting to take over Bakugou as I reached over and grabbed ahold of his shoulder as it seemed he wanted to charge Midoriya.

"Calm down, Bakugou," I said in an authoritative tone which seemed to bring him back to his senses.

"Trust me, I'm curious as to why he has an ability like that as it seemed like you weren't lying when you said he was quirk less. Come over today, you seem like you need to let off some steam." Bakugou just continued to glare until he nodded his head as I released his shoulder, while it seemed like he was about to erupt.

The rest of the testing went by rather quickly as it was simple and not noteworthy enough to be remembered, as we all gathered to see the results of the test. I felt pretty confident about what my position was going to be as I was also certain that a certain someone was going to place last by his performance.

"All right time to present the results. The total is simply the aggregate sum of each of your scores. If I recited all your scores It'd take a million years, so here you go," Aizawa said in a tired voice. "Oh yeah, by the way the whole "expulsion" thing was a lie."

I started laughing as a majority of the students were shocked.

"It was a logical ruse to pull out the best performance." Aizawa said with a creepy smile on his face as some students screamed out in surprise.

"C'mon guys, use your brains! Of course, it was all a ruse!" A tall and noble looking student said as she nodded her head.

"Yup, with that it's over. Your curriculum sheets are back in the classroom so give them a once-over. And Midoriya, go to Recovery Girl and get yourself patched up." Aizawa said as a hologram showing where positions popped up.

I smiled as my name topped the list as I felt a few heads start to look in my direction.

(A/N. I don't feel like writing the entire list so…)
