Equally Stubborn

"Excuse me Mister" her snap of fingers made him look up.

"Do you want something else, Miss?"

"Ohh yess, why don't you shove it into your ass along with your extruding ego?" words blazed out of Amelia's mouth like spitfire.

"Don't raise your voice Miss, you may soon regret" his rough voice was enough to scream power.

"Why don't I think so?" Amelia challenged.

"Don't play with me Ms. Di Ricca" he delivers in a lethal cool note, shoving his hands in his pockets.

"Ain't you the one who started it?" she chuckles, crossing my arms over my chest as she stands opposite him.

His sapphire gaze stares at her in a rather unreadable expression pushing her into the pit of fear as blood rush straight all over her body due to the way his eyes lingered at her.

"Don't make unnecessary drama and waste my time. Quote the amount, double or triple of what your café's worth is. But I want this place at any cost" he stressed.

"Excuse me, you are here standing in my café displaying your arrogance by throwing a blank cheque at me and wasting not just my time but also disrupting the peace of my customers. So shove your cheque back along with your pride and there lies the exit door" Amelia pointed at the door, asking him to leave.

"You have no idea what I am capable of doing" she heard his restrained voice as she collide with the scorching challenge burning in his potent gaze.

"I don't even need to know what you are capable of, if you kindly exit this place I have a business to do" Amelia added.

"Amyy…" though she heard a hiss from Clarie, she chose to care less about it.

Amelia choose to stare back at him with equal grit though deep down she has started sweating with his sapphire gaze cutting her into half.

"Neither you have anything to do with me, nor do I. So rather than blowing things out of unwanted proportions and making an unnecessary fuss, just accept the cheque, quote as much as you intend to, and open your café in a much crowded place than in the landscape of these mountains" his voice was insanely calm yet enough to send chills down her spine.

"Well…" Amelia tapped water to her lips as her throat dried.

"Why do you care so much about this place in that case? Look Mister whoever you are, I don't intend to sell my café no matter what, and the sooner you realize that the better it is, so keep your cheque with you," Amelia asserted.

"Enough of the time you have wasted, you have let go off the golden chance I have offered you with your adamancy. Be ready" he challenged.

"Ready for what?" Amelia screamed.

"To sign the registration agreement of selling this cafe"

"In your dreams" Amelia rolled her eyes.

"I am hailed as the one who goes to any extent to make the dreams turn real. You will soon get an idea what it is to challenge Archer Arlington" his cold voice tensed up the whole surrounding.

The surrounding turned as intense as his eyes piercing Amelia into half, entire oxygen from her lungs has been evaporated as she heard his name. She stood frozen in her place realizing that she has just put up a challenge with the man who exerts control all over the world.

Her senses triggered at the mere mention of his name. Gritting his jaw, Archer walked past Amelia with a challenging smirk.

"Amy… Amyy" Clarie shook Amelia who dropped her jaw to the floor.

"Amy, are you okay?" Clarie quizzed Amelia making her gulp some water.

"Did I hear right?" Amelia looked at Clarie for confirmation.

"Sadly yes Amelia, you have challenged Archer Arlington, the youngest and the most influential Centibillionaire" Clarie yelled at Amelia.

"How am I supposed to know that it's him?" Amelia bellowed.

"That's the reason I urge you to follow newspapers and read business editions" Clarie hissed.

"You should have at least given me some kind of hint" Amelia hissed back at Clarie.

"Ohh wow, so now you are going to blame me? I have kept whispering trying to call you but what you have done? Royally ignored me" Clarie cursed Amelia.

"What will happen now?" Amelia looked up with scary eyes.

"Amy first take a breath and second you still have a chance, go and apologize to him and trade him the café before we face shit, gooo" Clarie hissed.

"Are you in your senses Clarie? Could you hear yourself? If there is anyone who knows how dear this café is to me, it's you. How can you just simply ask me to trade it to him just because he is the richest person or sort off?" Amelia quizzed Clarie.

"So are you really going to fight him? Have you gone nuts?" Clarie bellowed.

"No, I am totally sane. I now realize what I have done. However this café is not just any place for me, it has been possible only due to my relentless efforts. I have put my every penny into it, I am not giving up on my café for anyone, not even for that Arrogant ass. How dare he shove a blank cheque?" Amelia screamed unable to take everything that has just happened down her throat.

"Amy, why don't you just take a look around?" Clarie pointed at the café.

Amelia looked around the café and her eyes widened.

"Why does the café look so empty? Where did the customers go?" Bellowed Amelia.

"They left" Gio answered her query.

"Why so?" Amelia quizzed.

"Not everyone is foolish like you Amy, the minute customers saw you picking a fight and challenging Mr. Arlington they left. Who in their sane mind wants to face him? So Amy, if you want to keep your café running the only way you have is to agree with him" Clarie patted her shoulder.

"Ohh wow, just wow. I mean I put in all the hard work, give my best, and just because an arrogant ass has billions in his account I need to give up on my dream? Not happening… what will he take away? My customers? My goodwill? Let him do as he wants, I am no less. If he is stubborn, I am a zillion times stubborn than him" screamed Amelia with determination.
