Pick up your father

Later this night, on "Agency C.R", the three agents have come back to their headquarters where they reported the mission status of capturing Mr. K. to Carmen and Rudy who, after they heard the status and truth, they were feeling a little disappointment because Mr. K would have been a valuable information for their case.

"At least there is a good part." says Rudy who has heard what happened in the operation Mr. K. who was told by Ramirez perspective. "We put down a skilled hunter of Mr. Greg. With two down, our difficultly has dropped. Chances are high to get this person."

"True to that." responds Raj to Rudy.

"Now. We have to catch another person." says Carmen to Rudy. "Any success?"

"Not yet." says Rudy. "Finding target by the name of Travis is a tough job even from me and my specialized team. It is tough. But not impossible, sister!"

"I am counting on you, brother." says Carmen to her brother who goes back to his desk, and continues to type onto his laptop. She looks at the three assassins. "Your payment will come tomorrow morning via credit card bank. You three should rest for now. Well, until we manage to find a lead to Travis, and if we will do, we'll contact you."

"And send us to kill him." says Albert voice from Lenard body.

"No, Albert." responds Carmen, who is well known to the psychical condition that Lenard possess for a very long time. "You will capture him. We need his intel. That person is probably the closest to Mr. Greg and his information. If we capture him and squeeze some information, we are set."

"You'll also have to take his laptop." says Rudy from its desk to the three agents. "Without it, we will not have data we needed."

"And what data you need for?" asks Albert's voice. "Lenard never told me or hear you two talk about the reason you need to stop Mr. Greg."

"He wants to infect the world with a virus." says Carmen to Albert. "Happy?"

"A virus? What is this, Covid 2.0?" asks Albert rhetorically.

"It is a zombie virus." says Ramirez to Albert's who has made him burst of laughing, then after four seconds, he stopped and he reads the heavy atmosphere.

"You serious?" asks Albert. "Zombie virus? What else? A virus that can cure cancer?"

"Don't be ridiculous." says Rudy. "Without cancer, people will die of starvation and overpopulation."

Raj tuns away, and he is walking to the door. Then he is stopped by Carmen.

"Where are you going?" asks Carmen.

"I have to go and see my father." says Raj. "He just got off the Hospital and needs a ride."

"Ah. Alright. You can go." says Carmen to Raj. "Agent Raj, dismissed for today. You can rest, agent!"

"Thanks." replies Raj to Carmen, then he leaves the "Boss" room and walks outside this place.

***

Tomorrow morning, Raj wakes up in his apartment, on his bed. He looks at the window and sees the sky has those grey clouds that warn about an incoming rain with or without a lighting and thunder. Raj gets up from his bed, he goes to the wardrobe to change into good clothes to impress his father who will be discharged today from the Hospital he stayed over the last years in a coma.

As Raj changes into his clothes, he is thinking about his father. His last memories of his father were before the massacre has begun on that night. When those two killers have broken inside the house of Raj, and without any mercy, they killed Raj's mother, right in front of his eyes who were young and innocent as a child.

After he has done this quick change, Raj goes to the bathroom, where he takes a crap, then he washes his hands with soup, then the face and brushes his teeth. When he was done, he gets out of the bathroom, put his everyday shoes on, and walks out of this apartment. He also locks the door after he left the place.

Raj walks to the grand floor, where at the door of this apartment, a man walks inside this place. That man wears a pizza uniform, has a pizza logo on his white with red stripes shirt, and he asks Raj directly.

"Hey! Where is apartment 53?"

"At Floor 5, Apartment Number 3." responds Raj to the pizza delivery boy.

"Thank you." replies the pizza delivery boy and goes upstairs to where the floor 5 lays.

Raj goes outside the building, he walks the stairs to the sidewalk, walks a few more steps to its personal vehicle, goes to the driver seat, after he unlocked his car, turns on the engine and leave the building behind, as he drives toward the West. As Raj drives a few meters, and stops on a red light, he takes out his phone, and calls his father.

"Hello, Papa. I am coming to get you." says Raj the moment his father picked the phone.

"Okay, son." responds his father. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I am fine. You?"

"I am also fine." says his father. "You have an apartment here?"

"Yes, I do."

"Can I sleep over there?"

"Are you asking? Of course! You are welcomed anytime. You are my own father."

"That's my son! See you there." says his father, who closes the call of Raj.

Raj closes the phone to focus on his car that he has to drive to where the hospital is located. It is very far from where Raj lives, but this doesn't matter. What matters is if Raj's Father would be able to handle the today's world. After he has "slept" for some good years.

After a moment, Raj arrives at the front of the Hospital, where he stays a while. He stayed there for about ten minutes exactly. His father left the hospital without any luggage. He looks at his son, who is on the driver seat of his personal vehicle. This makes Raj's father feel already proud of his unique son.

Raj gets out from the car, he goes to his father, he welcomed him by a hug, and he escorts him toward his car. Raj will drive, while his father will stay on the passenger seat.

"Look at this car." says his father surprised. "You earn big, my son?"

"You can say that." says Raj to his father.

Raj's turns the engine on, and drives off from the Hospital. as he drives to his house, Raj decides to turn on the radio, to a Bollywood radio music station, a station that plays non-stop Bollywood songs from movies and TV shows to the immigrants of India. This is the only favourite radio station of his father. He'd always listen to this station whenever he would drive his car, who was a damaged car taken from a scrapyard from Ruby City.

"They've still kept this radio on?" asks his father surprised.

"You wouldn't believe how much things have changed since you were in a coma." says Raj.

"I can already see the changing. You. You have become a man. A married man."

"I am not married, papa."

"You aren't? Then how you afford this car?"

"I worked for Agency." says Raj. "But I did not even know I worked until Rudy dropped the bombshell. Or when Mr. Greg tried to murder me."

"That son of a bitch. He messed with wrong family!"

"You can say it again!" says Raj to his father. "I will probably change this car into another model."

"Why?"

"Got my paycheck."

"Is this much?" asks his father surprised.

"Not exactly. Everybody can afford a car nowadays with the economy and the way of making money. You would not believe how many sketchy jobs are today." says Raj to his father, as he stops the car to the red traffic light.

"Hope the house is good." says Raj's father.

"Is… good…" says Raj to his father, not wanting to reveal to him the house consists into a bedroom, a small living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. He feels bad for bringing his father to his house, but he promises he will find a better house with these moneys he got from its paycheck.
