After the two had spoken and agreed, the plans had been set.

Xu suddenly spoke, "Majesty, there have been several problems, and we have dealt most with of them. Before it becomes troublesome and we become enemies. What will you do?"

"I've told you, don't rush it."

Feng Li understood everything Xu meant.

Xu nodded. Feng Ming's silence did not affect him. They both understood Feng Ming was depressed and would be happy and at ease for a long time.

At first, Feng Li's primary motive and reason to act this way was for his brother's sake. However, it was now his responsibility to not only protect his younger brother but also the peace in their clan.

Seeing them so serious, a person struck Yu Xin's head, which he should never have forgotten.

'Wasn't the culprit from Rabbit Clan?'

'But he would not go this far as killing someone...right?'

The more he thought about it, the more he realized this problem was different than what he expected. He tried to find someone else but failed and could not find any trace of anyone suspicious.

His mind was a mess.

While he was deep in thought, another issue came up, "Feng Li, can I talk to you alone?"

Feng Li glanced at Yu Xin.

"I'm sorry, but please wait for me.", said Feng Li to Xu then looked towards Yu Xin, and gestured.

The latter followed behind him and they walked out of the cave, to talk.

Yu Xin was nervous, thinking about his future and life when he was with Feng Li. He was worried, as the matter of his past and current self hadn't been resolved.

He knew that he shouldn't hide this kind of secret but he didn't know how he could explain the truth to Feng Li, who treated him with love and affection, because he might face danger.

It was hard and complicated.

Feng Li asked, "What is it, you want to speak with me? Is it something serious?"

Yu Xin took a few seconds to compose himself and responded with, "Actually, there's something I need to tell you. But you need to promise me one thing. Will you?"

Feng Li saw his expression and immediately got curious, "Go ahead and tell me. If it's something that can be done by me, I'll help you."

"I don't think you'd be able to help me with this. I've hidden something from you for a long time, and it's hard to tell you the truth."

Feng Li smiled bitterly, "So, what is it?"

He wondered if Yu Xin had met someone else before or was hiding his illness.

Yu Xin bit his lip and closed his eyes.

"I haven't been honest with you about my past. I am not the true blood son of my father."

"I wasn't born from my dad rather I was the son of his best friend. My real parents died after I was born. And then, my now dad and father found me and brought me to his home and raised me. They gave me the name of Yu Xin. He said that this was the name my real dad chose for me since I was the apple of his eye."

Feng Li was surprised. This situation was opposite to what he thought.

"That's why I never told you anything. Because you'd get angry and think I lied to you."

"And when you came to the Rabbit clan and I heard about your name, I was shocked. It was like a coincidence but also not, but I was really happy to meet you. We were both looking for each other and yet, I couldn't tell you anything. I hope you can forgive me for not telling you this earlier and making you angry. I'm so sorry.", explained Yu Xin, in a hurry.

Feng Li was bewildered. He blinked, not sure what to do. He wasn't able to comprehend the information given to him. He only heard half of it but it sounded crazy.

Yu Xin's words made him recall some memories, but it was incomplete. And he was completely unfamiliar with these memories, as he tried to remember them but they weren't clear.

He frowned, as he thought he knew everything and understood all the facts, but this incident proved that he did not understand or know everything.

He remembered his real world, where he was treated like an animal, but maybe something was missing.

After thinking over the matter for a while, he turned to Yu Xin.

Yu Xin, who hadn't left, was standing at a distance from Feng Li.

Yu Xin became a little timid, hunching his shoulders.

His hands tightened into fists and trembled. His heart thumped loudly.

The two of them stood still, neither of them speaking, as they waited for the other person to speak first.

But no one moved, and after a few moments passed, it was silent and the atmosphere seemed very awkward.

Yu Xin knew that he couldn't explain clearly, nor could he say something else, which would make things even more difficult. His voice trembled, "Feng Li If I made you angry...I..."

Feng Li didn't reply. He continued to be deep in thought, frowning. He had nothing to say or do, and felt confused.

He looked at Yu Xin, who was shaking slightly and came to his senses.

Feng Li went closer to Yu Xin and pulled him close, embracing him tightly, and patting his back to comfort him.

"Don't worry. I am not angry. Rather, I'm thankful to you for telling me this, Yu Xin.", said Feng Li, softly.

Yu Xin was astonished and asked, "Why? You aren't angry?"

Feng Li smiled gently, his eyes filled with gentleness.

"Why would I be angry? Everyone wants to keep a secret to themselves and have their reasons. But because you trusted me, I'm not angry. And I believe you wouldn't do anything to harm me."

"However, there might be a possibility of danger, in the future. I hope you can tell me soon. Otherwise, I will get mad."

Yu Xin was startled and wanted to say something but stopped himself.

"I've told you before that I'll never let anything bad happen to you. But if you want me to protect you, then you need to tell me about it. And also, don't hide anything from me. It's important for me, to know every detail and fact."

Yu Xin nodded, he parted his lips slightly, feeling touched. He felt relieved, knowing that Feng Li wasn't angry with him.

"I have one more thing to say.", said Yu Xin.

"What is it?"

"Before we met, I was...bullied by someone from the clan.", confessed Yu Xin.

Feng Li's eyes lit up, flashing with anger.

He gritted his teeth, and replied, "Who dared bully my mate?! Give me their names!", his tone sounded dangerous and threatening.

Yu Xin hugged Feng Li.

"No, I'm fine now. They're all gone, thanks to you. You can rest easy now.", reassured Yu Xin, smiling.

"I wanted to share this with you because maybe or maybe not, he is involved in this case. I can't be sure."

Feng Li was surprised at first, but he soon calmed down.

"I understand. Thank you for sharing your troubles with me."

"But you should have told me earlier, that I would have taken care of him and made him suffer."

Yu Xin didn't speak. He just leaned against Feng Li, his head resting on his chest.

He was happy that Feng Li listened to him and felt his warmth and heartbeat.

His mind was full of thoughts and worries but everything had been resolved, after having this conversation with Feng Li. After sharing his troubles, he felt refreshed and the burden had lessened.

Feng Li rubbed Yu Xin's hair, affectionately.

Yu Xin felt relaxed and soothed, and closed his eyes, savoring the moment.

After a while, he spoke, "Feng Li, can you promise me something?"

Feng Li heard him and answered, "Yes, what is it?"

Yu Xin asked, "You must be careful when you deal with things outside the clan. I don't want you to be hurt."

"I know, don't worry."

"Alright, I'll try."

"And please don't stay awake tonight. I feel sad when you don't sleep well."

"Mhm.", muttered Feng Li.

Yu Xin raised his eyebrows and stared at him, waiting for him to answer.

"Don't look at me like that. I'll go to bed early.", promised Feng Li.

"Really? You won't lie to me?", asked Yu Xin, doubting him.

"I will sleep tonight. I promise.", reassured Feng Li.

"Okay, okay. I'll take your word for it. But if you don't, I'll punish you.", warned Yu Xin.

Feng Li chuckled, "How would you punish me?"

"By not kissing you.", said Yu Xin, smirking.

Feng Li sighed, "Fine, fine. I'll listen to you."

"Good.", replied Yu Xin, smiling.

The two returned to the cave.

Xu looked at them suspiciously. He'd thought they would fight or argue but unexpectedly, nothing happened.

"Well, did you finish your conversation?"

Feng Li nodded and then turned to Feng Ming, "Ming, you can go rest now. Don't think about anything else for now."

Feng Ming smiled, weakly, and said, "Thanks brother, for understanding. Good night."

"Good night."

All three of them left, leaving Feng Ming alone to rest.

Instead of sleeping, Feng Ming kept thinking about Hei Lang. He felt depressed and sad, but also angry and frustrated, because of his death. He couldn't forgive the culprit.

He clenched his fist tightly and gritted his teeth, trying to calm himself.

"I'll never let anyone get away with this. They will pay for their crimes."

"Whoever caused this mess, I'll find them and make them suffer!"
