Crush

"What happened, Maya?" Alora and Sarah started panicking.

"I was kidding with you. I didn't want to make you cry. Your baby is also our baby. You can eat the whole house if you want to. I won't say anything. Don't cry please, " Sarah started jumping here and there, talking gibberish.

Maya paused her cries to glare at Sarah.

Sarah stopped her jumping and gave Maya a nervous look with an awkward smile.

Maya gave her a thumbs up with tears streaming down her face.

Sarah returned her thumbs up and smiled.

With this Maya went back to her crying.

"Maya, would you please tell us what happened?" Alora pleaded with her hands joined together.

"I read in fictional books that women can't stand the smell of anything when they are pregnant. They vomit every morning but here, I am eating like I am not pregnant," Maya started sobbing.

"I also read the same in every fictional book with pregnant woman," Sarah joined with her widened eyes.

Alora's mind went blank and she started questioning her existence.

"Why always me, God?" She groaned thinking this.

God from heaven took a deep breath and said," Cause I love you, my child."

"I thought it's because God mistakenly wrote that these two crackheads are going to be best friends while writing their fates. Then they decided to add a more sensible one with them to balance but while making the sensible one he mistakenly added a bit more weirdness and uniqueness," one angel whispered to another angle.

"You are-" the second angle was cut off by God's glare.

"You visited the doctor yesterday, what did she say?" Alora asked softly.

"She said that everything is fine. Mines is a normal pregnancy," Maya said stopping her tears.

"Maybe you guys are overthinking. It can be normal. Everyone's body is different, and so is everyone's pregnancy. But even if you guys are worried then let's go to your doctor now," Alora said holding Maya's hands.

Sarah and Maya nodded.

They got dressed and left for the hospital. Suddenly, Sarah remembered something and started calling for Alora.

"What is it, Sarah?"

"We don't have an appointment with the doctor," Maya hurriedly said.

"It's fine. The doctor I visited with you is a close friend of my mother. She said that I could meet her without an appointment and she also said that she's free after 6 pm."

"By your mother's mention, did you tell her that you are pregnant?"

"No, I still haven't broken it to my parents. I also asked the doctor not to. I will soon but before that, I need some time to come to terms with my pregnancy," Maya said looking down.

Sarah hugged Maya.

"It's ok. They won't scold you. I am sure that they would understand. They are one of the most understanding parents I have ever seen."

Alora nodded her head.

Suddenly a cab stopped in front of them. Ahead came out of the glasses," If you guys want to hug each other then at least go on aside. You guys are going to get yourselves killed and get me in a lawsuit."

Sarah pulled herself away from Maya, to give the guy a piece of her mind even though he is right.

"Listen, you mister, if you know how to drive then the risk of anyone getting involved in a case is pretty low. The road is clear. You can also go from the other side instead of disturbing us in the middle of our emotional talks," Sarah scolded him with her eyes closed.

"Middle of emotional talks in the middle of the road, huh?" The guy sarcastically said.

" You better stop your mouth or else-" Sarah's words died done in the middle when her eyes fall on the guy in front of her.

"Or else what? Miss.' I forgot to pay to keep the change', huh?" the guy who was the reason behind Sarah's nervousness said.

"Shoot, it's the second time. Why Sarah why? Why do you have to embarrass yourself in front of your crush like this? Don't you want a happy relationship or something? This way he will think that you are an idiot who's always making mistakes," thinking this Sarah groaned.

"I still haven't touched you and you are already groaning, girl. You want me to get into trouble, don't you? Miss.' I forgot to pay to keep the change'," the guy smirked.

Sarah's face became red in embarrassment. She wanted the earth to fall apart so that she could bury herself somewhere.

"It's not like that. We apologize for our carelessness. We were looking for a cab and mistakenly got in the middle of the road. By the way, can you take us to the nearby hospital?" Alora politely said.

"That's more like it. Sure, miss," that guy smiled and Sarah felt herself drooling over his smile.

"Let's shoot my idea of getting married to a rich billionaire on his death bed, I want this young and handsome cab driver," Sarah thought.

"Get into the cab or do you need an extra invitation?" The guy sarcastically said while pointing his finger toward Sarah.

"That's rude. Try to be more polite next time," Sarah said getting into the cab.

Soon they reached the hospital and after paying him, they left.

Sarah looked back only to find him gone. It only stuck to her that she met him twice but she still doesn't know his name.

"Next time, I will ask his name. If possible, I will also get his phone number," Sarah thought.

"What are you waiting for, Sarah? Come quickly," Alora said dragging Sarah with her.

They asked the receptionist if Doctor. Miller is free at this moment or not.

He checked something on the computer and said that she was free at this moment.

After thanking him, Maya decided to call her to know her room number.

After the first two rings, she answered.

"Oh, my dear Maya. Are you ok dear? Why did you call?"

Maya said that she wanted to meet her to ask a few questions.

Doctor. Miller gave her the room number and asked them to come there.
