The cold breeze was sending shivers all over their bodies but it felt good.
They headed crying sounds from far away and they looked there.
A few ambulances were taking people to the hospital. The sounds of people's heartbroken cries were terrifying to them.
Suddenly, it was feeling like everything around them froze.
They decided to go back home immediately.
That night felt a little strange to them but they decided to push it away and enjoy their winter vacation.
After freshening up, they started studying.
They were so into studying that they lost track of time and in a blink of an eye, it was already 2 am.
Maya started yawning followed by Sarah.
Alora looked at the wall clock and noticed that it was way past their bedtime.
"It's already late. Go to your bed. We will continue our study tomorrow."
Sarah and Maya went to their rooms.
Alora started working on her dresses with a warm cup of coffee beside her to keep her awake.
She wanted to complete all the work related to her small business during this vacation so that she could focus on her studies and the cafe entirely after that.
After fifteen minutes, Maya and Sarah were both standing in front of her door.
"What do you guys want?" Alora asked them sipping on her coffee.
"I can't seem to fall asleep after lying on my bed. I was tired and sleepy while studying but now, all my tiredness ran away," Sarah said coming inside.
"What's your excuse?"Alora asked Maya, raising her left eyebrow.
"Don't try to ask like a strict parent who's going to scold their child for waking up past their bedtime," Maya sulked inviting herself in.
"I just asked. If you don't want to answer this simple question of mine then it's totally ok with me. I won't force you, chill."
"The cries from before are hunting me down. I have a feeling that something bad is going to happen."
"Oh, Maya. Maybe one of their family members got sick, that's why they were crying like that. No need to be scared. We are here with you. Stress isn't good for you, nor for the baby," Alora said pulling Maya in a hug.
"I also want to join," Sarah runs towards them for a hug.
Just as she was about to join in, Maya and Alora parted away. Sarah directly hugged the opened door.
Thankfully, she wasn't hurt. She glared at Alora and Maya.
"Aww, our baby," saying this Alora and Maya pulled her in a hug.
" Just because you guys give warm hugs doesn't mean that I forgave you guys for not letting me join before," saying this Sarah pouted with her cheeks puffed up.
"Why are you this cute? " Saying this Maya squeezed Sarah puffed cheeks like a sponge.
"Our cute little baby," Alora hugged Sarah more tightly.
"It's been long since we had a sleepover. How about tonight?" Sarah jumped saying this like a rabbit.
"Had we not known that you were born from pure humans, we would have thought that you are a rabbit, judging by how much you jump," Alora said suppressing her chuckle.
"I just get too excited over little things. I know that it's a little child-like to a lot of people but it is what it is. I can't change and I won't change," Sarah said again jumping like a rabbit.
"Never change yourself, no matter what! We won't recognize you even if you change a little. Never let this child, wild and free spirit of yours die," Alora said softly.
Sarah nodded her head as if agreeing with Alora's words, which she did. The same goes for Maya who was looking at her friends cum sisters with adoration in her eyes.
"By the way, I need to tell you guys something. Come to the bedfast. It's top-secret," Sarah said looking super excited.
They all lay on Alora's bed. Alora lay in the middle with Maya and Sarah on her both sides.
"Do you guys remember the cab driver from today?"
"Yes, he was a handsome young man. He was really pretty, not going to lie," Maya said focusing on Sarah.
"I know right, I have a little crush on him," Sarah said playing with her fingers.
"Oh, that's good. Wait- WHAT?" Maya shouted excitedly and Alora almost jumped out of the bed.
"Are you kidding with us? Cause the last time, I remember you said and I quote ' I will marry a rich but old billionaire on his death bed.' Do you remember now? "
Flashback:
"Ugh, I can't with those guys anymore. They are so annoying. Every time I have a crush on someone, they have to turn out to be like this. This guy I had a crush on isn't over his ex yet. Now tell me what I am supposed to do. I have already selected so many names for our future children. Now they are off-list," a frustrated-looking Sarah stomped on her foot.
"You can simply move on and find another crush," Maya said biting on her sandwich.
"Easy for you to say. You already have a boyfriend who is crazy for you and vice versa. I have to put a lot of effort to find a crush."
"Alora why aren't you saying anything?"
"Congratulations, now we both are single plus crush-less. Single from birth and crush-less from now. Let's haunt for a new crush," Alora said sipping on her juice.
"What happened to your recent crush?" Maya and Sarah both asked together with shock written all over their faces.
Alora had a crush on a guy from their school. She said that she developed a crush on him three days ago.
"Lost feelings. I don't know what to do with myself anymore. If this continues then I will have to find a handsome and young king for myself to marry," Alora signed.
"I have decided. I will marry a rich billionaire on his death bed. Before his death, I will write all of his money under my name," Sarah said looking determined.
"People will call you a golddigger."
" Nah, I am just expensive. If the old man happens to have any offspring then I don't mind sharing the money with them. After all, it's their father's money," Sarah jumped here and there.
Flashback ends.
