Why Doesn't Anyone Ask?

As soon as the 8 o'clock bell rung, they found themself in the cafeteria. It was quiet, full of people as well. Only a few would talk and that would be the sophomores, juniors and seniors as they actually had friends.

Only a few freshmen would talk as some came from the same schools, but even so, since the acceptance rate had been so low, a lot of people had to drop some friends as they couldn't make it here like they had.

Orion and Arthur managed to find an empty seven seated rounded table to themself and so they sat at it. It was in the corner of the cafeteria, this way Arthur wouldn't be so shy.

Taking their bookbags off and setting it down next to them on the floor, they started speaking to each other.

"So tell me again how classes work again.." Arthur said, pulling out his paper schedule. "Bro... I told you a million times. Why do you need to hear it again?" Arthur pointed, saying, "Yeah, I know, but they don't..."

"Dude, we aren't in someone's fan fiction. This is real life... You read too many damn novels.."(Though, I'm a reincarnated person, so anything COULD be possible..)

Arthur laughed at Orion who had been sighing. "But sure, I'll explain it to the beings watching us.." He said sarcastically, snatching Arthur's schedule.

"We have 5 classes total, each being 75 minutes. The first 3, in your case, is science, math, then english with history not being needed. The remaining two classes will be for our hero training. Is there anything else you need me to explain?"

He shook his head no and took back his schedule. "Why don't we take history? Isn't that a little odd..?" Orion would've thought of it as odd if he had his previous view on history of this world, but now that he knew that quirks have been around for a long, long time, he didn't care.

"Everyone knows how quirks originated, so there isn't a real history to teach."

"True...that's true... I wonder what life was like before quirks tho. No one ever talks about that..."

"Quirks are everything, that's why..." It wasn't Orion who said that, but Jin, the snake dude. He had sat down at the table, grabbing both of their attention.

"Why would we need to learn about a boring world before this new profound one? We sssshould be happy that we were born into the era of power and not ssssome era where everyones probably quirkless. Sssshit would ssssuck.."

He began eating his breakfast which consisted of grits, eggs and sausage, a side of orange juice as well. "I'm surprised you guys even believe in a world before quirks. History doesn't date back that far." Miya sat down at the rounded table, joining in on the conversation.

"Of course there was! Like...uhm.." Arthur tried remembering some history, but couldn't. To everyone, but a select few, history could only be remebered back to the year, 2017. Everything before that was only a blur.

"We aren't taught anything before that, but we know the world isn't obviously one hundred and fourteen years old. But oh well, no point in going that deep into it, I guess. He makes a point when he said that theres not point in fawning over the past. We live in a 'perfect' society nowadays.."

Orion got up, saying he was gonna go get himself and Arthur some breakfast. 'I wonder who would...' The thought of mankind before quirks were a thing disappeared from their minds. They now would never question it again.

'I wonder who would put a block on human kind like that..' The reason no one questioned what life had been before quirks became a thing was because there had been a single person stopping humanity from knowing what life was like before the great change.

'Humans think that the world was made just over a hundred years ago. Past structures, inventions, it was all just...there. I assume it was the dude who stopped all people from having quirks in the first place. But why would they allow quirks to be manifested again? Odd..'

Who ever this dude was, Orion hoping it was a female so he could melt their evil heart with his junk, the way they plotted was quite strange. Orion could probably figure out who they were and what their intentions had been with a mere thought, but...

'That'd be boring. I want some suspense in my life..'

He grabbed two milks and packets of cereal with a bowl and headed back to the table. It was then where he saw Rin and the pink haired guy. "Ah~ There he is~..." Rin said, getting up from her seat and intertwining her arm and his.

The others continued doing what they were doing, either on their phone or eating. "We still doin' this? I thought it was all a joke.." He said, guiding them both to sit down. "Well, of course we are~... What we have is no joke, Orion~.."

He was handing Arthur a bowl, packet of cereal and white milk when she had said that. "Oh, I see. Nice to know.." He opened his cereal and poured it into his bowl followed by the milk. He began eating with the spoon stuck to the side of the cereal packet.

After that, the table sat in silence completely. Rin would hum while having her head on Orion's shoulder, Miya would be looking at training regiments on youtube, Jin would eat, Arthur would as well and Larius, the pink haired dude, would scrolling through Instagram.

The bell for 8:20 had rung and every student got up, the sophomores, juniors and seniors going to their classes while the freshmen would have to go to the auditorium for an assembly. 'I guess this is when Cathleen will make her apperance.

I suspect that a lot of people know this however as it's tradition for the number one to show themself to the freshmen, acting as our teacher..'

Since they were all going to the same place, they decided to stay together, walking in a group.
