"And that concludes
'Rin.. does not hold back. Like, not at all. Her quirk mixed in with her personality makes anyone fighting agaisnt her lose automatically..' Orion thought to himself as he looked towards Rin who was seemingly talking to some lawyers and parents.
'Percy pretty much said, 'The chance of finding an item is zero' and no one was obviously able to win after that. So yeah, all the S class kids won their matches. Yep, all of us. All...of us...' He looked at Iker who had his head down.
'Except...for him. You see, he's really unfit and the people he faced off agaisnt sort of had bodily enhancements which made them faster, stronger, etc. Becuase of his quirk and how physically lacking he is, he wasn't able to beat up his group of students. I tried cheering him up, saying it wasn't entirely his fault, but me...being me, made things worse.
Not like I said anything like 'Just get stronger' or 'That was a terrible performance', just me trying to encourage him made him feel as though I was pitying him..' Orion shrugged as he and the rest of the students got up.
While dusting the sand off his clothing, a familiar person approached him. With a timid outlook and a small stature, Orion couldn't help to smile while looking down at her.
"Saya, it's been awhile since we talked." Saya, ths girl with an Egyptian Deity inside of her. The girl who Orion still thinks is a kid.
"Y-Yes, it has been awhile, hasn't it.." There was a long, awkward silence between them after that. 'Hasn't been that long like we're making it seem, but it's been some days, I guess. I actually stopped talking to her because of her other half, Hathor.
She's persistent in making me her slave and I did play along with it at first, but then she kept dragging it. Ah, and she'd only come out when I'm around so it sorta got in the way of things...'
He was about to excuse himself, but stopped as she said, "S-She won't be coming out! She...understands that it's a bother and decided to stop for now. So please, can we still be friends?!" Her shouting attracted some looks, but that didn't seem to phase her in the least.
"We were never not friends. But I was a bad one for simply ignoring you becuase of Hathor. Sorry.." She rapidly shook her head while looking down. "If-if I was able to control her, then none of this would be happening! It's not your fault..."
He stared at her for a moment before patting her head. "Let's just say we're both at fault.." She began looking up at him, his handsome, smiling face and calming aura, causing her to smile deeply. 'Why is she smiling at me like that? It's too cute~...'
Interrupting their thoughts, Cathleen called for all the S class students. She also dismissed class A, but a few stayed and waited. "We can talk later, alright?" Orion turned around into a walk while waving back at her. She simply nodded and walked off with the rest of her class.
"Ahem..!" Cathleen cleared her throat as Orion arrived, now being in line with the other S class students. "The others wanted me to ask you if you'll be free this weekend.."
Rin whispered into his ear. "Free? They must wanna hang out or something. But I'll have to turn them down. WE'LL have to turn them down. Our training begins this weekend, doesn't-...?"
"Orion Jewels,..." Cathleen placed her hand on his shoulder, catching everyone's attention. "you'll shut up for me, won't you?"
Murmurs quited down upon hearing that 'command'. The steady blowing wind also stopped completely, now removing her hand and backing up a bit. 'Did she just used her quirk on him..?' People began to think.
Her quirk was generally known to the public, so people could make assumptions of how it works, meaning they knew of some possibilities that her quirk could do. "Now, back to what I was saying,.." She cleared her throat once more and then...
"Hey, you could've just asked me to stop talking. No need to use your quirk on me like that.."
Opened mouths appeared on all of their faces, but one. 'He can still speak under my command? Even with his powers, I didn't think it'd be that easy for him to do so...'
Well, she didn't really say his real name, but she nor anyone knows that.
"Yeah, just listen to me. It's important.." Orion being Orion, this was just another thing his classmates would list as the norm. Yes, someone who can defy the worlds strongest womans command is just the norm for them now.
He nodded and then she finally continued. "As the 5 of you should know, this weekend starts the beginning of your training as
She gave them the same run down she's been giving them all this time and yet, it still excited them, though none of them showed it on their faces. "Before this program begins, I'll ask now and then again later on. Is there anyone who wants-"
""No.""
The kids said in unison. "This is our chance to spread our names as heroes. Why would we decline this offer that not only betters our powers, but ourselves as well? Plus, we'll be getting taught from the number one hero in America. Even a quirkless person would dream of that.."
Percy stated with resolution, saluting to her as well.
"I want to be stronger, become a hero that isn't feared by their capabilities. Spreading my name, making connections and friends along the way... I can only really accomplish this if I join this program and see it through.."
Iker was the one who spoke out next. What he said made Orion and the others ponder about his past. Knowing how his quirk was and what it could do, the possibilities were endless. 'Hes mentioned his past before, but I forgot what he said. Oh, well..' Orion shrugged as the next person began speaking.
"I'm not a sociable person, but being a hero requires you to be one. Being in
"I think joining this program will allow me to see more of the world in all its beauty. That and it'll teach me how to be a better person, I hope..." Rin's dialogue was the most ear catching since she never speaks about goals or dreams.
But even though she really caught their attention, they all looked at Orion and waited. Even Cathleen, who was hiding how happy she was from their earnesty, seemed to have only wanted to blurt out her amazement after he spoke.
Now with all eyes on him, Orion stood in the line with a weirdly forced smile. "I mean, uh.." Orion looked around like he was thinking, "I'll of course join. Not to only get stronger, but like what everyone else said, to become a better self. I can't understand people all to well, but I still wanna help them, y'know? That's why I'm hoping that you'll help me Cathleen when it comes to understanding people better. Hoping you could teach me how to express myself better with not only my powers, but my words too..."
Everyone but Rin, who had clapped softly at his speech, seemed disappointed. They expected him to talk only about getting stronger and whatnot. Hearing him want to be a better character though was still surprising however.
"So, that's how you all think, eh?" She wiped away the single tear she shedded. "Well, I'm glad. You all at your core just want to be reliable heroes and that truly makes me happy.." She spread her arms out and gave the 5 all big one hug.
Somehow, her arm span was able to wrap around all of them at once, but it seems only Orion was thinking of that in this moment.
'Hearing everyones ideals wasn't so bad tho. Never heard them talk about
For all of them, including me, this'll be an experience that will deeply impact us. I really hope that in 4 years, we can look back on this moment and call it one of the greatest decisions of our lives..'
After a while, she stopped smothering them and said, "Well, I'll see you all later. Make sure you eat well and get good nights rest. Until then.." Her words trailed as she walked between the group of students, then soon onto a helicopter pad where there was one waiting for her arrival.
'I really do hope the training isn't just about fighting and developing our powers though. Cathleen didn't really say my 'dream' wouldn't be accomplished so there's that atleast...'
"HEY, ORION! WHADDYA SAY WE TRAIN TOGETHER, EH?!" Orion received heavy hits on his shoulders from Percy who was being extra loud for a weird reason. "Nah, maybe next time. I'm gonna relax for the next few days.."
Percy was dejected by this, wanting to try and convince him some more, but held off as he assumed it'd be hard to change his mind. "Fine. Be lazy and slack off. When I become stronger than you though, don't come crying back to me."
He seemed really confident when saying that. Everyone looked at him then at Orion who shrugged and said, "And when you do, make sure to put up a good fight. See you guys later then.."
A fire lit in Percy's eyes as he watched his rival walk off. 'First, grow my power, second, defeat him and become the worlds strongest hero! Let's see who'll really come out on top in the end!'
Walking towards a group of people, Rin and Orion walked closely together. 'I realize now that I was really in the moment back there, declaring my feelings and all to Rin on the spot like that. I've never once had a girlfriend and so not only did I confess weirdly, I don't know what we're supposed to do from here on..'
Like she had been reading his mind, Rin embraced his hand with hers, shocking him momentarily. "Am I coming on too strong?" She talked quietly and calmly as per usual.
"No, not at all. Taking initiative just surprised me is all..." He guessed she did look like the dominating type of woman though. "Well, I can be myself around you, y'know? Not like I could hurt you unintentionally like I do others, so it's perfect.."
It made him oddly happy again to heart that. Rin was undoubtably beautiful. She had the perfect...everything. Knowing that only he could touch her, talk to her normally, connect with her on deep levels(probably) in the future made him very happy.
'I like her, she likes me('I'm pretty sure), this is perfect. But remember Orion, don't go overboard with things. Take this slow and enjoy it..'
He had to remind himself like this for most things. Because of how overpowered he is, an unintentional thought could lead to something such as world peace or world destruction.
He has to take things slowly or else,...
"It is perfect, isn't it? Like we have our own little bubble together. Hey, I said I wanted to relax these next few days, but if your okay with it, could we maybe go out somewhere?"
Her grip slightly increased from hearing that, followed up by, "That'd be fine with me, Orion. You know I'd do anything for you if all you do is ask~..." He laughed outloud a little while shaking his head, Rin's smile becoming softer as he did.
Their conversation ending in nothing but smiles, they reached their group of friends and started talking with them.
....
An: Ahem. I'm...still alive. For those that are caught up, it's been like a week and a half, right? Man, I'm really sorry about that. And to give you a 6.78/10 chapter like this,...call me evil all you want.
Yeah, end of the year test and stuff. Uh, never take AP classes as trust me, sitting through a 4 hour test, every other day of the week, is quite literally hell and should be illegal. Had one today by the time this was posted...
Anyways, yeah, still alive. Still have a lot more to the story. In all honestly, 200+ chapters is what I'm aiming for. So yeah, I ain't dropping this any time soon.
Love you all and Thanks for the support.)
