C6 Uninvited Visitor

Surgrim stood in his living room, admiring the newly created nano 3D printer. "Hmm, if I didn't know any better, this looks like a regular 3D printer, except there's no spool of filament attached," mumbled Surgrim. The device made of aluminum extrusion profiles did indeed bear a striking resemblance to a 3D printer. Surgrim turned to Archi, pondering the next steps.

"Archi, what's our next move?" Surgrim inquired just as a sudden "DING DONG DONG" interrupted the room. Startled, Surgrim hastened to the door, contemplating who it might be since he expected neither packages nor visitors. Using the intercom, Surgrim identified himself with "Isenaxt," and a voice from the other side revealed itself as his mother. "Hello, I was in the area and thought I'd drop by," his mother explained.

Reluctantly, Surgrim pressed the door buzzer, allowing his mother to enter. With an uneasy feeling in his stomach, he greeted his mother, engaging in the standard conversation about not having seen each other for a while and how the trip to Mallorca had been. They moved towards the living room, settling down on the couch.

As the conversation unfolded, Surgrim's mind buzzed with conflicting thoughts. On one hand, he was excited about the progress with the nano 3D printer and the cosmic journey that awaited him. On the other hand, he felt a sense of unease about his newfound cosmic endeavors and how his mother might react if she discovered the extraordinary activities taking place in her son's modest apartment.

Trying to maintain a semblance of normality, Surgrim kept the conversation light, discussing mundane topics and deliberately avoiding any mention of the extraordinary developments in his life. However, he couldn't shake the feeling that his mother's keen intuition might sense that something was amiss.

Meanwhile, Archi observed the situation silently, understanding the delicate balance Surgrim was trying to maintain. Archi had been a constant companion in Surgrim's cosmic journey, yet the arrival of Surgrim's mother added a layer of complexity to the situation.

As Surgrim and his mother engaged in the farewell routine, his mother couldn't help but notice the nano 3D printer. With a cheerful tone, she pointed at it, mentioning that Surgrim's father had recently purchased a 3D printer as well. She shared how it seemed to be constantly at work, producing small plastic trinkets with little to no real utility.

Smiling, his mother playfully added, "Men never really grow up, do they? Once they get a new toy, they're like little children again." Surgrim's mother then left the apartment, leaving him to collapse with a sigh onto the couch.

In that moment, as he reflected on his mother's casual comment, Surgrim realized the delicate nature of handling this newfound technology. The nano 3D printer, a marvel of advanced construction, represented more than just a gadget—it symbolized the convergence of the ordinary and the extraordinary, a blend that required careful consideration.

Surgrim understood that the cosmic journey he was embarking on demanded discretion. Not everyone could comprehend the magnitude of what lay within the confines of his apartment. He needed to be cautious about whom he chose to reveal his cosmic endeavors to, understanding that not everyone would share his vision or appreciate the significance of the technologies he was working with.
