A story about the sudden end of normal life and how with mysterious help the universe is conquered.

The story starts in 2018 in our world and then no longer follows the past events.

This story is told from the first person perspective. Sometimes at least i found it very difficult to create many chapters in this style in a really meaningful way for this reason i will only use the first person perspective as a stylistic device for interesting passages or sometimes a chapter.

I (the main character) am Surgrim 22 years old and have led a normal life so far. I was rather bad in school and have an education as an IT specialist. Normally I sit at home at the computer and play whatever falls into my hands. But I let my grandma talk me into taking a real vacation on this fateful day.

This is the first time I write a story and let other people read it I look forward to any helpful comments.  Furthermore, English is not my native language and it may happen that my choice of words is rather strange.
Again, please point this out to me so that I can learn and improve.

In conclusion, I am writing this story in addition to my full-time job and it will happen that there are sometimes a few weeks no new chapters, but I hope that this is rather the exception.

Spaceships are beautiful

Surgrim woke up the next day with a sense of anticipation. His first stop was the nano 3D printer, expecting to witness something extraordinary. To his disappointment, he found nothing out of the ordinary—no visible nanomachines or groundbreaking developments. Perplexed, he turned to Archi, seeking an update on the status of the nanomachines and how many had been printed.

Archi responded, "A little over one million nanomachines have been created." Surgrim was puzzled, as this didn't align with the expected timeline. Uninvited, Archi delved into Surgrim's thoughts, explaining that, once the material supply was secured, he enlisted the help of the newly created nanomachines in the production process.

Surgrim was pleasantly surprised by this revelation and marveled at how efficiently the tiny machines had contributed to the manufacturing process.

Intrigued by the progress of the nanomachines, Surgrim approached Archi with a new set of questions. He wanted to know if there was a way for him to monitor the status of the nanomachines—how many had been created, what they were currently engaged in, and how much longer they would be working on their respective projects. Archi, ever helpful, suggested a solution.

"Why not have all that information at your fingertips?" Archi proposed. "We can create a smartwatch for you, displaying the parameters you're interested in."

Surgrim agreed to the idea, and together they initiated the printing process for the smartwatch on the nano 3D printer. Archi took charge of developing the necessary software, and after nearly an hour, the smartwatch was ready for Surgrim to wear.

As Surgrim strapped on the newly crafted smartwatch, a world of information unfolded before him. The display showcased the current count of nanomachines, detailed updates on their ongoing tasks, and estimated completion times for each project. Surgrim was elated to have such immediate insights into the cosmic machinery he had set in motion.

With a newfound sense of control and understanding, Surgrim delved into the intricate details of the nanomachines' activities.

After Surgrim gained the ability to control the nanomachines, he directed his next question to Archi, asking how they should proceed now that the foundation was laid. Archi responded to the inquiry, stating that the nanomachines needed to be launched into space before they could discuss further steps.

Surgrim pondered for a moment and then asked uncertainly, "But how the hell do we get them into space?" Archi chuckled and remarked that Surgrim would now become a hobby rocket builder. "Damn," Surgrim muttered, then said to Archi, "You do realize we're in Germany, right? This won't be easy, I'm sure of it."

Archi, with a mischievous grin, replied, "Challenges are meant to be overcome. Don't worry, Surgrim. We'll find a way."
