"Why isn't it working!?"
"I did everything the same, so why isn't it working?!"
"Eun! Are you positive they're dead? Don't screw me over and say they're dead like the one that was supposed to be dead but was awakened?!" The professor yelled frustratedly as he stood in front of multiple cages that help presumably dead animals, while Eun was behind him standing obediently.
"Yes, professor. It's been an hour and a half since it went into cardiac arrest along with no movement of the pupils."
"Fuck! Fragile animals!" The professor yelled as he kicked one of the empty cages.
Eun stayed silent.
"Fuck these trackers... I need more time." The professor started rubbing his hair furiously
"Eun! More animals!" Professor ordered without looking at Eun.
"Professor... We ran out of animals." Eun said with a blank stare.
"All of them?!" The professor stopped his tantrum and looked back at Eun in shock.
"Then fetch some more!"
"Professor the police have already intervened, due to people reporting the disappearance of animals in the area as they filed reports." Eun reported waiting for what's about to come.
"Imbecile!" The professor didn't miss a beat and lashed his arm out towards Eun causing a burst of energy to explode right in front of Eun's face.
"..." Blood started trickling down Eun's right as a slit appeared right above his right eye where his eyebrow was.
"Don't talk back to me!"
"I'm sorry."
"Go get them from a different area if you cant get them from here!" The professor reprimanded Eun.
"Useless." he said out loud as he brushed past Eun.
'We're so close... I can't stop now..." The professor thought as he left the room leaving Eun alone.

Inside Echo's house, everything was silent and still as it was still nighttime. Echo along with the dogs and cat can be sleeping peacefully.

Nyx can be seen on the couch sitting perfectly still while a blue aura enveloped his figure as his eyes were closed.
A second later Nyx can be seen slowly opening his eyes as the blue aura still surrounded him.
"Hmm..." Nyx released a low hum as he looked at his paw and clenched it tightly.
"I can't gain enough power... I've used too much power recently, it's more than just the wound..." Nyx released a sigh as he continued clenching his paws.
'I lent his power when I was already in bad shape." Nyx thought as he remembered when he injected some of his power into Echo.
"..." Nyx thought changed once more as he remembered the smile on Echos' face after he beat the cat.
'Well, it's not like I had much of a choice... Darkness and night... Darkness is rare enough, while night is simply unheard of... He didn't want to kill the cat so, who knows what would have happened if I had not given him my powers..." Nyx released a helpless sigh.
'I sure we'll see him again..." Nyx thought as he thought about the professor.
'Forced awakenings are banned because of how dangerous and inhumane they are... He won't sit still after learning about Echo. Knowing his nature he might think Echo is a tracker... so he has may have chosen to run away thinking he's close to getting caught rather than looking for Echo.
Though seeing his way of behavior... then Echo might be in danger...' Nyx thought as he looked at the sleeping Echo.
"Ga... ga... gaa~" Echo started choking as he started gasping for air startling Nyx.
"N...Ny~" Echo tried speaking but he sounded suppressed.
Echo woke up instantly and found himself covered by darkness. Echo was out of it for a few seconds before he realized what was happening. He raised his arms and grabbed whatever was laying on his face.
Picking it up he realized it was Shadow (Black Husky) one of his dogs had unknowingly plopped onto his face and slept there.
He released a sigh and put him on top of one of the other dogs, as he looked at the ceiling.
he found it weird that he was still having trouble breathing, so he raised his head and was surprised and what he saw.
"Nyx...?" Echo asked in confusion as Nyx was on his chest staring at him in fright.
"..." Nyx stared at Echo in fright before he abruptly slid off Echo letting him breathe normally again.
'When did I get on top of him...?' Nyx thought avoiding eye contact, while Echo was trying to control his breathing while staring daggers at Nyx.
"The hell were you doing lard ass!?" Echo said after calming his breathing.
Nyx remained silent avoiding eye contact even though he was pissed at being called lard ass.
"Well, I guess it was for the best... I was having a bad dream..." Echo released a helpless sigh.
"Mhmm... so you had a bad dream?" Nyx said trying to change the topic.
"Yeah, I think it was related to what happened... I guess we're worried about the same thing in the end..." Echo mumbled.
"Now you're worried? after everything that happened already."
"Yeah... well, it's not like I was never worried. I just handle it differently." Echo admitted.
"So you were listening after all. I never would have guessed considering you're always calm and collected." Nyx sighed.
Echo just chuckled.
Nyx released a helpless sigh.
"Thanks for worrying about me... it feels good in a weird way." Echo mumbled as he looked at Nyx.
Nyx stood there dumbfounded.
"Qu...quiet! N...no one's worried about you!" Nyx yelled as he stuttered because he was flustered.
"Sure~" Echo laughed.
"I'm only telling you because you found me! that's all." Nyx said as he was still flustered
Echo continued laughing.
'Worried? Never! The extraordinary Nyx never worried about anyone.' Nyx thought as he hmphed while looking away from Echo.
"Since your so worried I'll teach you one thing." Nyx said as he turned around and looked at Echo.
"I'm listening..." Echo stopped laughing and became serious.
"I'll teach you how to hone and develop your powers efficiently."
"Oh? I figured that was possible but never knew how. So your gonna teach me?" Echo asked with a sly smile mockingly.
"Yes!" Nyx answered back.
Echo released a chuckle enjoying Nyx getting riled up.

Down in the basement, it was quite huge. Marble flooring, gray like walls, a couch, and a few boxes. Echo was sitting on the floor while he stared at Nyx who was on the couch looking down at him.
"Not bad, quite large... Let's begin." Nyx said as he looked around the basement before looking at Echo.
"The only reasons your powers have developed are due to you controlling your emotions and you blindly using them for a long time. So they were bound to develop since you have used them for so long, but if you use my method you'll be able to develop and efficiently use your powers.
Just don't expect my method to drastically change things. Powers don't grow all of a sudden with just a few days, it takes a long time.
Depending on your talent and approach, you may not see results in years or decades." Nyx said seriously as he looked at Echo.
"Well, that's to be expected." Echo seemed calm.
"Like I said it depends on your talent, but using powers efficiently is different from developing them."
"How long did it take you?" Echo asked.
Nyx looked smugly at Echo, "I'm the one who invented the method."
'Narcissistic much?' Echo scoffed.
"Come over here." Nyx said as he wiggled his paw.
Echo followed his command. Once he was close enough Nyx put his paw on Echo's chest.

the air around them became a bit heavy, Nyx's paw became blue while lighting slithered around it, as Echo became surprised. as the spot under him became pale blue.
'It feels like when he gave me his powers earlier...' Echo thought as he could feel some type of energy flowing through his body taking a specific course.
"Listen closely, the power is in your heart. It spreads to the rest of your body like blood. I'm going to channel my powers into you, feel how the powers move and grow. ingrain it in your soul and never forget." Nyx instructed.
Echo nodded.
"let's begin."

lighting started appearing on Nyx's paw as it entered inside Echo's chest.
"Hold on!" Nyx said as he increased the input.
Lighting started flowing inside and out of Echo's body as Echo had a pained expression on his face.

Nyx increased the input quickly as their figures started getting brighter and brighter and the lightning grew larger and larger until a discharge accord, sending the lightning into a frenzy and the light going off like a flashing.
"Huff... huff..." Echo's breath was uneven as black lightning flowed around his body.
"It'll be difficult to do what I taught you on your own." Nyx sighed as he started explaining.
While Echo started controlling the power.
"If you try har~"
"Wow! I can control the power of your method." Echo cut him off as he started controlling the method as a black glow appeared around his heart, while black lighting still danced.
"What?" Nyx stared dumbfoundedly as he stared blankly at Echo.
"So this is how you do it..." Echo mumbled as he examined his body as his heart glowed a slight black and lightning flowed around him releasing slight discharges.
"..." Nyx continued to stare in shock, and a bit of envy.
