Another Encounter
In the living room, Echo was sitting in the lotus position channeling his energy as black energy that was dispersed floated around him while Nyx was watching over him.
'I channeled powers into him to make him feel the movement of energy. It's only been a few hours... and he has already managed to channel energy through his heart.' Nyx thought as he stared at Echo.
"Phew... I'm doing as you said but it feels like something isn't right, I don't know if I'm accumulating it correctly or not..." Nyx said as he stopped and sighed.
"That's natural remember, I said it will take a lot of practice. You're progressing fast, faster than I expected so just take your time." Nyx said.
"I don't know it feels like I'm missing something like something is b~"

Echo was interrupted by his phone.
"It's 8:00 AM already?" Echo sighed as he vanished and reappeared with his uniform on.
"Remember to eat, I left some food for you on the table it's meat but I cooked it so don't worry, I'll leave food for the three dogs in the front yard." Echo said as he left the door leaving Nyx alone in the living room while the cat was still sleeping.
"Sigh... I don't think I could ever figure him out..." Nyx sighed.
'Something missing...?' Nyx thought.
'Missing? No... The difference was small and he hasn't had the experience to realize it but he's gathering energy inside his heart. It's what naturally happens in the process of gathering energy.
I've never seen someone progress so fast... well except me of course.' Nyx thought about the way Echo was progressing and didn't forget to praise himself while he was at it. As he was in his thoughts he didn't notice he was unconsciously biting his paw.
'Wait! That must be it! Is my method that effective? Now that I think about it... I never taught my method to anyone before... had I taught this method to other awakened ones, they might have progressed just as fast!
That must be it! It was my method that helped Echo. My method also allows Echo to detect energy flow within his body. So the real genius isn't Echo... It is I the extraordinary Nyx!' Nyx started laughing evilly swimming in his narcissism.

"..." Nyx was confused as three blurry figures passed right by him.
The three dogs started tapping in the empty bowls hinting to Nyx they wanted food.
"Looks like they're hungry... though that's not my problem..." Nyx ignored them and stared daggers at the unconscious cat.
'Forced awakening experimentation...' Nyx thought as he was still staring at the cat.
"Wooof~"
Nyx was broken from his train of thought as one of the dogs started rubbing against him, while the other two lay in front of him with pleading eyes.
'That bastard said he left food in the front!'
"Okay! Give me a sec!" Nyx had enough of being rubbed against one of the dogs as he snapped and started feeding them dog food.
"Woof!~" in which the three dogs barked in excitement.

At Echos' school inside a classroom, Echo can be seen looking outside the window ignoring the teacher which was writing on the chalkboard.
Due to his looks, a lot of girls would sneak peeks at him, as soon didn't even care how hard they stared no matter how obvious they were.
In Echos's mind, he started reminiscing about the things that had happened in the past few days.
'A star floating around in the world of eternal darkness..." Echo thought as he started thinking about Nyx, as he enjoyed not being alone anymore.

"Ech... Eeechh...Echo!"
"Echo! Pay attention!"
Echo who was staring out the window turned his head and saw his teacher in front of his desk.
"Pay attention Echo, usually I don't mind because you are the top student in this school, but you've been staring out the window since the morning. I'm afraid if you keep looking out the window, the girls will start bleeding out of their noses! The class just ended." His teacher said as he called out the girls who were paying attention to Echo more than his lessons.
This earned multiple girls looking away in ignorance.
Echo ignored everyone else and just nodded his head.
"Sigh..." his teacher just sighed and walked back to the front of the class.
"Now does anyone happen to know why Eun is absent today? We tried calling him but he's not picking up his phone.
Can anyone contact him, or knows where he lives and go check on him?" the teacher asked in slight hope.
"..."
"..."
"..."
Though the class just remained silent.
"Sigh guess he hasn't made any friends yet..."
'Absent...?' Echo thought as he looked towards Eun's desk and saw it empty.

The bell started ringing ending school as everyone instantly started packing their stuff or talking with friends.
Echo ignored everything and stood up with his bag and simply left the classroom.
After a few seconds, he exited the school.
He was walking down the street leisurely.
As he was walking down the street something appeared in his peripheral vision.
A few feet away from him, he saw a group of four people.
Two people were harassing someone, while another one just waited on the side with his eyes closed.
'Eun?' Echo thought as he saw the person being harassed was Eun, while he was being gently slapped on his cheeks.
"Hey! We told you before to bring it, so why don't you have it?" one of the people asked as he started nudging Eun's shoulder.
"..." Eun simply remained quiet.
"Son of a bi- Search his backpack." the one who was playfully slapping him said.
While this was happening the fourth person still had his eyes closed, and Echo was simply watching.
They grabbed his backpack and started dropping all the materials in his backpack on the floor.
"The hell..."
"This fucking weirdo! His backpack is filled with pet food." one of the men said in annoyance.
"Hey, maybe it's his dinner~" the other mocked.
the two started laughing.
Eun didn't say anything as he was simply staring at the floor.
"Eun, I've been waiting for you; hurry up."
Suddenly a new voice interrupted everything, causing everyone to look at the newcomer.
Everyone saw the Schools Prince standing there leisurely with his signature cold expression.
"Shit..." One of the guys lost all his confidence as he stared at Echo.
"W...we...well... if it isn't the crown prince, your highness~ maybe you should leave it's a personal matter we're dealing with." the other had a bit more confidence even though he stuttered in the beginning.
Echo simply stared at them with his cold eyes before opening his mouth, "Are you perhaps hard of hearing?"
"..."
"..."
The two started losing all their confidence in front of Echos' eyes.
The third member who was on the side waiting had his eyes open as he simply glanced at Echo not fully looking at him.
"...Let's go." Finally, the third member spoke
"What?"
"Why?"
"Look behind him idiots, people are starting to gather from the commotion, and the crown prince, you're already embarrassing me." He said as he started walking away.
"Your highness should watch his back as I won't be so lenient next time." He said with his back turned.
His lackeys followed behind them, they were gonna say something to Echo but when in front of his eyes they simply kept their mouths shut and followed their leader.
Finally, it was only Echo and Eun left, as Eun started picking up his stuff.
Echo stopped paying attention and started walking away too.
A few seconds later Eun was walking behind him.
They both started walking down the street not saying a single word to each other.
After a minute there came to an intersection where the street diverged leading into different streets.
"Later." Echo finally spoke as he didn't look at Eun as he turned to the right and Eun continued straight.

"I'm home~," Echo said as he entered his house, and saw the three dogs walking around and the cat on the couch.
"Woof!"
"Sniff...sniff~"
Echo was attacked as one of the dogs started jumping at him, while the other two started sniffing his feet and legs.
"Like clockwork." Echo chuckled as he started playing with each dog.
After a few minutes, he stopped, while the dogs went to lay down.
Standing up he started looking around, "Where'd Nyx go?"
He started searching the house from his room to the bedroom to the basement.
After a few seconds of searching, Echo reappeared in the living room in deep thought.
After thinking for a second he thought of a certain idea for locating someone.
He gathered his energy around his feet and a black circular layer appeared just above the ground before merging with the floor.
As it merged with the floor, it started expanding and expanding.
'Mhmm didn't think that would work... let's call this; Dark Detection.' Echo thought as the field covered his whole house.
"This is weird." Echo mumbled as he looked at his surroundings, he couldn't see through walls but he could feel every living thing in his house, like a heartbeat.
He looked at his dogs and saw in their chest their heart was covered in black and shining like a star, and it was pulsating.
He then started looking around the house looking for Nyx.
After a few seconds, he saw a pulsating heart appear through the walls.
'So I can't see through walls but the heart does so it gives me a precise location.'
Suddenly a disgusting expression appeared on his face when he realized where the pulse was coming from.
"NYX! What the fuck! Go take a shit outside! That's why there's a forest in the backyard!!" Echo yelled in disgust when he felt Nyx was in the restroom.

In the restroom, Nyx's face was dark as he could hear Echo yelling at him.
Nyx was on top of the toilet sitting as his entire body was shivering in anger, as his eyes read murder.
'This fucker!' Nyx screamed in mind with rage.
