CH. 65: Darkness Awaits

Another day, another morning here in Tempest ! I woke up early today because I happen I have a much bigger paperwork to do then usual. And after a few hours, Veldora woke up as well.
He was walking through the corridor and he happened to bypass my office, when he saw me drowning in the paperwork he came right at me and asked me if I was doing okay.
Even though I don't require sleep in this body, it stills tires me mentally to do all this stuff.
"GUAAHAHAHA!! LOOK AT YOU WORKING SO HARD ON EXAMS FRIEND!!" Veldora shouts while laughing loudly. His loud tone made my eyes open widely in surprise.
"Keep it down Veldora. I'm trying to work here." I said with annoyance clear in my voice, though i don't think the dragon understands these kinds of subliminal approaches.

But enough talk about that, my name is Rimuru Tempest! I used to be a salary woman back in Japan living a pretty decent life but also characterized by a certain competitiveness.
My life suddenly met its inevitable end after I committed the ultimate sacrifice, protecting my friend from a fatal stab, it costed me my life. It was nice knowing that I would die right after making a good deed.
But my life felt incomplete. I happen to have went through reincarnation. Acquiring a slime body and two unique cheat skills in exchange for my fragile material body. Right after reincarnation, i met with Veldora-kun, my first friend. In order to undo the sealing, I had to absorb the seal.
But to undo the seal, it required me lots and lots of magicules. [Great Sage] estimated atleast a few dozen years... It seemed never-ending.
But just one week later, one of the nearing countries ; Falmuth was attacked by invaders. There has been alot of casualties, and tons of uncollected souls.
When I went to the scene, after things settled down, i couldn't help but want to puke when I saw all the dead bodies... atleast that's what I would have thought of if i was still a human. But as a slime, more precisely, a monster, it seemed like a normal natural thing.
Killing is bad, but I felt no remorse or sympathy. I collected the souls leftover. A total of 3'316 souls.
With that amount of souls, I was able to evolve the [Predator] skill directly to my first Ultimate Skill [Gluttonous King Beelzebub].
Oh and by the way, acquiring the [Predator] skill was a funny story. Since I remained virgin for forty or so years, a mumbled 'fuck you' to my friend as last words but the system thought I really wanted to... y'know... literally.
Back on topic, with [Beelzebub] the sealing of Veldora was reduced from years to seconds. And after getting a powerful body for Veldora, he inhabited it and became my official true dragon friend.
During that time, I met with some monster tributes that begged for my help, that was the starting point for my kingdom, as for my human body, I acquired it after absorbing the corpse of a teenage girl back in the Falmuth massacre. It still borders me that I took her body without consent, but as I said before, I felt no remorse for that sort of action.
And that's basically my story. That's how I founded a modern country, became friends with a True Dragon and gained power.
I immediately snap out of my thoughts after the doors to my office slam open. It was my messenger, Giruk, a hobgoblin from the tribute of goblins I became leader of.
"L-LADY RIMURU!" He yelled. "Wh-What is it?" I was surprised to see the always composed Giruk in such an alarmed state. It must be serious.
"WE HAVE RECEIVED A RESPONSE FROM THE GOVERNOR OF THE MONSTER CITY! AN ENVOY IS COMING TO TEMPEST THIS VERY MOMENT!!" He yelled the report.
W-Wait... An envoy is coming right now? "T-Then let us prepare an adequate welcoming!" I said. Giruk nodded then left the office.
"Hmm. I can feel a presence approaching us indeed." Veldora says, his was feeling it getting closer.
"A-Already??" I yell out in shock. I immediately get up from my seat and leave towards the entrance of Tempest. Veldora was flying behind me.

"Holy shit." I curse.
I see a white shooting star coming right at us. The dark weather follows the star. "Everyone! Get back! It's coming at us!!" I yell out, everyone takes a few steps back.
The person coming at us stops on the ground. The impact completely incinerates the ground. The shockwave repels all of us a few steps back, the strong winds calm down and the figure starts taking shape deep within the dusty could.
"Oh, my..." I subconsciously let out. Her beauty is just out of this world, her red eyes seemed to pierce right through my soul. Her white hair fell on her shoulders like a waterfall. A voluptuous tall woman with an elegant flawless dress.
"I come directly from my Master's domain. I go by many titles, a Devil Goddess, the White Primordial Demon, or even the Leader of the Demon Lords~ Though I permit you to call me Testarossa." The demoness announced.
Suddenly, i feel Veldora pulling me back with his arm on my shoulder. "Careful, friend." He mumbled, not leaving eye contact with this Testarossa.
"Wh-Why Veldora?... I never saw you so serious..." I remark.
A smile appears on Testarossa's face, she chuckles bitterly. Scary...
"That girl, could kill all of us and destroy this country with a single attack..." He says. "S-SERIOUSLY?!" I yell.
"My~ So you recognize me, Veldora-kun~" Testarossa says with a smile, she approaches us more.
"Blan— I mean Testarossa... I heard you ravaged the demon lords meeting months ago." Veldora says.
W-Wait what?? She ruined the meeting between the strongest people of the world?? How strong is she??
'Raphael! Analyze Testarossa!' I told my assistant.

'Holy crap... Good thing i didn't do it... But tell me, how strong is she??' I asked once again.
Suddenly, Testarossa speaks with the same honey yet cold voice, "If you're so eager to measure my strength, you could just ask me." She says.
"We're doomed!!" Veldora says, alarmed. "Wh-What?" I simply say in confusion.
Testarossa lifts her hand and summons a very small spell. It seemed to be a glowing white sphere with a radius of one centimeter. "This is [White Nova], my weakest spell." Testarossa then turns around throws the sphere in the opposite direction of Tempest with force that made a shockwave repel all of us.

And then, the colors around us seemed to literal disappear. Her eyes, gleamed in a ferocious red colour. The White Nova created an explosion so powerful it seemed to be happening just one mile away, even though the epicenter was hundreds of miles away.
The blinding light of the explosion was the only thing visible on our sight. The winds blew chunks of dirt and trees to the sky. And after a few minutes, Testarossa glares back at us but with a more malicious aura. "You are welcome to our domain, Rimuru Tempest." Testarossa says.
She throws a parchment on the floor. "This parchment will lead you directly to my Lord's domain. That is all." She announces.
Testarossa then disappears.

Though I didn't get surprised, I'm literally on the ground with my soul leaving my body in shock. I put my hand on my face, "What did I do to receive such harsh treatment..." I say.
"So, are you going to visit 'him' ?" Veldora asks me.
"Like I have a choice. I'll go first thing tomorrow." I reply.

Back in the endless voice that consisted Akira's imaginary space, the latter just engaged in a battle against Rouge (Formerly Guy) and her two maids ; Mizary and Rhein.
These primordial demons have grown alot stronger ever since their arrival here. With the objective of ending Akira's threat and reclaiming the balance of the world, they have being training relentlessly for alot of time, gaining astronomical power they have never dreamt of.
"YOU'RE DONE BASTARD!!" Rouge yells. She disappears from her position and appear behind him, in a split second, she creates a sword made of pure chaos the swings it vertically at Akira.
And when she thinks she got him, she sees Akira holding the blade of her nuclear sword. "A sword of Chaos. Fancy~" He teases her while grinning evily.
She doesn't want to know how he did that. Rouge pulls back a hundred meters back. "Let's go!" Mizary yells. Rhein nods, the two go in opposite directions then start throwing hundreds of destructive spells at the white haired boy.
He dodges all the spells and leaves afterimages behind him. Rouge envelops her body with a shield made of Chaos then traverses the barrages of spells the two maids were throwing. The shield of Chaos protected her against all kinds of magical attacks.
She appears in front of Akira in less than a second, "GET FUCKED BITCH!!" She shouts. She horizontally swings two Chaos Swords with both hands at him.
Though she does not hit anything, the swing dissipates what seemed to be an afterimage, despite her eyes being able to distinguish between reality and illusion.
"Where is he?!" She asks while looking everywhere. The two maids stop attacking. They search for him as well. "I'm here!" Akira shouts, flying in the air way up.
"Up!" Mizary shouts. They try moving but surprisingly they are sealed on their position. "Wh-WHY CAN'T I MOVE?!" Rouge shouts in frustration.
Akira makes a clap with his hands, the motion summons a purple sphere of concentrated destructive power. "You all have grown effectively these past months. I admire your resilience..." He says.
"What does that mean bastard?!" Rouge shouts.
"Let me test your strength. Survive this attack, and we'll talk this out." Akira points his index at Rouge. The sphere moves at the speed of light. The Red Primordial sees the dangerous purple sphere rushing directly at her with fascinating speed.
No way to dodge it. "I'LL FUCKING DO IT!!" She shouts. Putting all her energy into the defence, she braces for impact.
