CH. 87: A World No One Knows

Chen frenetically opened the door to his leader's room. The movements of the wooden door were rusty ; He looked down to see that the door was partially glued to the wall, which was covered in a black liquid he had never seen.

But the mysterious liquids weren't the only thing to surprise him. Once he entered, a wave of demonic aura rushed out of the room, almost knocking Chen down, his legs shook before regaining his composure, awaiting the worst case scenario in which Cao Cao would be victim to the mysterious events occuring.

But that worry ―partially― faded when he saw the lord Cao Cao on the ground of his chamber... But he was covered in light wounds, the same black liquid dripping from the wound instead of blood. His eye color was black and lifeless.

And in each corner of the rectangular chamber, was a guard, with blacked out eyes and pale skin, as well as a lifeless expression and mischievous frown.

Chen felt fear coursing through his veins when all eyes fell on him. Staring with twitching members at Cao Cao who in trance, drawing on the floor a pentagram with the black liquid which came out of his right index finger.

"I...understand.....now....." Cao Cao mumbled with a dusty voice coming out of his dry throat.

"Wh-Wh-What is it... Sir...??" Chen mumbled, feeling a bit ashamed of himself since he couldn't move from how scared he was right now.

"The goal....of all life....is to die...for the sake...of the gods..." Cao Cao said with the same dusty and dry voice.

Chen was shocked by his lord's words, for the tyrant dictator to say such things, He, considered himself as a god— it must be something big, colossal even.

Chen unsheathed his sword and pointed it at the lifeless guards who were staring at him with hostility, they weren't attacking him but their stares applied a restraining and fearful effect on him.

"GYAAAAH!!" Chen roared as he ran towards the servant on his right.

The latter was just staring at him without flinching, his black eyes glued on Chen who felt dread with each step closer to him. But by shaking those thoughts, Chen was bale to regain his unshakable courage, or atleast just a part of it.

With only a meter separating the two antagonists, Chen slashed his blade horizontally and cut the puppet-like creature, he had once knew, to two quasi-symmetrical parts. The demonic servant died immediately, he didn't even fight back.

Then, rivers of black blood spurted from the puppet's body. So much it formed a puddle on the floor while a moderate amount painted Chen's face black.

"...!!!!" The feeling of the black liquid making physical contact with you was a terrible feeling. Having his face covered in that unknown substance, Chen felt his sanity dropping, consecutive 666s appearing in front of his eyes, giving him a massive headache and body pain.

With his rusty movements, Chen removed his cloak then quickly rubbed his face with the cloak's smooth surface using both hands, which made his katana fall on the puddle of dark blood, painting the blade dark.

Now free from the demonic liquid, Chen quickly grabbed his katana, not caring about the dark blade or questioning it, then ran towards his next target, making sure to be as fast as possible because theoricaly the monsters were supposed to be more hostile towards him as they witnessed the death of their kin.

Chen thought way too much of this situation while fighting his opponents, none seemed to be reacting, which acted in his favor because now he had killed all four puppets, making sure to cover himself after cutting them to two or slashing their heads off in order to dodge the spurting rivers of dark blood.

".....finally....." Cao Cao mumbled, now having finishing the ritual.

Chen, taken back to Cao Cao looked with horror at his lord who started puking uncontrollably the dark blood, coming out of his mouth, nose and teary eyes. Splashes of the same dark goo which covered the ritual.

"M-My Lord what HAVE YOU DONE?!!!" Chen shouted, terrified and confused, not having the slightest idea what to do.

The black goo covered the pentagram, triggering the satanic ritual. Chen's instincts were screaming at him to do something quickly, as the ground shook with every passing second. The glowing ritual was no good sign, and Cao Cao was the one behind it all.

Swallowing his pride and covering his senses with determination, he rose the katana once again then ran at Cao Cao quickly, repeating the sentence "Forgive me lord Cao..." As he prepared on killing his leader.

Suddenly, Cao Cao's neck broke as his head turned 180 degrees, staring at the sprinting Chen while laughing maniacally. Chen tripped on his feet, taken off guard by the terrifying scene of his dead leader's head laughing.

But before he could do anything, the ritual glowed uncontrollably then made a loud explosion surge up, exploding the entire palace and making thousands of debris and ruines fly up to the sky before falling once again, crushing everything below them.

The smoke started fading to reveal the atrocious scene. Chen survived, but lost a leg in the blast. Cao Cao however, lost his lower body, excluding his head which had its neck broken.

"GREEE!!! IT— IT HURTS...." Chen groaned in pain as he looked at his blown up leg.

The ritual died down, and in the middle of the drawing, appeared a young woman in a dark attire, levitating on thin air while analyzing the surroundings in which she got summoned.

"Kneel mortals... For I am the One to bring up your fated demise. I am, Trihexa." The woman spoke with a cold voice.

Chen's consciousness was already disappearing as pain coursed through his entire body. The suffering of losing an entire limb was unbearable. With the remaining traces of consciousness, he thought about the name 'Trihexa'... It did not ring any bell in his mind. Though he was sure he had heard this name... Somewhere, in prophecies...

True religious quotes about supernatural beings were an exclusive luxury not only the nobels had access to, as the populas was always told to worship their biblical god and no one else.

So, the biblical god was thought to be the only deity out there, until war rang up and Maōus then servants of Grigori appeared and dragons appeared.

Trihexa must be a figure appearing within a certain mythology, perhaps on par with the biblical god— that makes her a primordial goddess. She said that she would bring up the demise of all, does that make her a primordial goddess of death?... Perhaps.

"Poor mortal, you have become a slave to the Deadly Sin of Greed... I already have an idea on where you'll be suffering in hell..." Trihexa spoke.

The next thing Chen saw was horrific, Trihexa bended her knees then ripped Cao Cao's already brocken head off his body. This time, the blood that spurted out was red, meaning that Cao Cao was officially dead.

"N-Nooo...!" Chen yelled with his remaining force, before fainting from all the pain.

The last he saw, was Trihexa holding Cao Cao's head and giving him a single look with a smiling grin.

On the outskirts of the vanishing hero faction, Akira was there standing watching as the city suffered the effects of [Apocalypse]. A skill which Trihexa had casted a few minutes ago, which explained all the paranormal events happening at the moment.

[Apocalypse] is an ability Trihexa developed during her time inside the biblical god's seal. Cursing him and despising him so much her negative energy manifested in the endless void of the 'end of the world'. The manifested energy was purely negative, concentration of evil and malice.

By controlling that energy, she was able to do various marvellous things such as degrading the void slowly, but surely, successfully making an escape, as well as empowering her strength and learning how to use it, to manipulate that energy how she likes, thus the creation of [Apocalypse].

This spell consisted in cursing a person or even a whole country with a succession of outerish nightmares that could drive one insane. The cursed person could even die in the process if Trihexa wished. It is indeed a spell right from the depths of Hell which she would have loved to use on the biblical god.

When Trihexa teleported back to Akira, his eyes fell upon Cao Cao's head which was lifeless, having a dreadful and horrified expression which showed just how tragic his end was.

"It was very entertaining~" Trihexa commented, as she handed Akira the old man's head.
