"So, how should we tackle this?"

Laudia nods her head and places a map on the table. Today, the Wild Hunt party wants to clear the fifteenth floor, not hunt but rather clear the fifteenth floor before the Infernal Beast inside the floor gets into the lower floor and gets out of the tower.

The national guild decides to post a quest to clean the fifteenth floor, but because there is no Blessed One strong enough to do the job, they ask the Wild Hunt party to do it.

"Truthfully? I don't know. This is a job not a couple of B-rank, and one C-rank can handle. This job should be for a party of five B-rankers. I know you, Joshua, and Rachel can be considered a C-rank, but we are still three people trying to clean a higher floor."

"Hmmm, could we just test the water first?"

"That is what I think as well, Rachel. I think we should test the water first and see if we can do it. I have a feeling that we can do it, but we need a lot of mana potion."

Joshua nodded his head in understanding before saying.

"And also a spell scroll. A cheap spell scroll should be enough."

Spell Scroll that can be used to cast an instant spell without needing a chant and mana to use it. While the higher-level scroll is expensive, they did not need an expensive scroll. Slime's biggest weakness is magic attacks, and even a weak spell will hurt them really badly.

"You are right, Joshua. I also need a Vengeance enchantment on my armor."

Enchantment is something that a class called Enchanter could do. Enchanter is a rare job, and only a few people can be called an enchanter. Enchanter can give many kinds of effects to an item. Vengeance effect is an effect that lets the armor reflect some of the damage it receives back.

However, this is important because every reflected damage is magic damage.

"What other item do we need? Enchantment, a spell scroll, mana potion, and what?"

Laudia looks at her teammate and tries to get some answer. After thinking about it for a few seconds, Rachel decides to say.

"I think that is all we need. We did not need to enchant your weapon as it was already enchanted with fire damage. I did not need it as I use spells, not my staff, to hit something. Joshua can make an ice sword that is filled with magic. I think we are set."

Laudia nods her head and says.

"Then we will meet again in front of the tower in… four hours. Joshua and Rachel, I need you guys to buy the item we need from our usual shop. I need to bring my armor to the Enchanter in the guild."

"Roger"

~Five hours later~

After shopping for all the items they need, the Wild Hunt decides to have some lunch before they get inside the tower and talk about the strategy they need to use against the slime. Now they are ready to clear the tower.

Laudia, Rachel, and Joshua walk toward the teleportation device, where they will get teleported to the safe zone located on the eleventh floor. After getting inside the eleventh floor, Joshua activates his authority and starts to summon a snowstorm.

Laudia and Rachel, on the other hand, drink the cold resistance potion. After drinking the potion, Laudia looks at Joshua and Rachel.

"Ready? Let's go!"

The first tactic: They will run toward the fourteenth floor as fast as they can. There is a safe place on the fourteenth floor that many Blessed One use to make a camp. This safe zone is located in between two massive boulders.

This safe zone is a man-made safe zone that was created by the first group that conquered the twentieth floor. They decide to dig a massive hole between the boulders and create a massive bunker by using one of the powers that let them dig at high speed.

With the power of magic, they can produce oxygen indefinitely and let anyone stay in the bunker as long as they want. There are no rules in this safe zone, but there are unwritten rules. Never start a problem while using this safe zone.

The creator wants to make this safe zone a real safe zone. Safe from the Infernal beast and safe from a fellow human.

Joshua swung down his sword and ordered the floating sword above him toward the incoming slime. Laudia raises her shield to block an incoming attack and smirks a little when she sees the slime that attacked her dead from the reflected damage. On the other hand, Rachel stands between Laudia and Joshua, firing an offensive spell at the slime.

They move flawlessly as if they have been doing this for a long time. While they only become teammates for only one month, they move like they have been teammates for ten years.

Another group of slime throws their tentacle once again, and this time their target is Rachel. Seeing the incoming attack, Joshua creates an ice wall out of thin air to block the incoming attack.

After blocking it, Joshua changed the ice wall shape into a spear and let it fly toward the group of slime. With a stomp of his feet, an ice spike appeared from the ground and killed the rest of the slime coming toward Rachel.

After killing the last slime in the distance, Joshua raises his shield to block the slime that jumps toward him before swinging his sword upward.

Joshua released a tired breath before sitting on the ground with the last slime defeated.

"Holy shit! That is exhausting."

Laudia looks at Joshua and nods her head. It has been three hours of continuous fighting, and they have yet to reach the fifteenth floor. Currently, they are on the fourteenth floor of the tower, almost reaching the safe zone.

However, they did not expect that there would be so many Infernal Beasts on the fourteenth floor. They already killed more than seven hundred monsters and almost depleted their supply. Joshua can clear the floor with ease if he goes all out from the beginning, but because of Laudia and Rachel's presence, he cannot use the full power of his authority.

He will hurt both of them. He did not want to know what would happen if he combined his five crowns as he could see kobolds that stand ten meters near him become an ice sculpture in an instant. Even when he did not use the full power of his authority, Rachel and Laudia's movement got affected by the snowstorm he generated.

"So, what should we do, cap? Should we continue moving forward? Or should we go back and report this finding?"

Without even thinking twice, Laudia looks at Joshua and nods her head.

"Yeah. We should get back. The spawning rate of the Infernal Beast is even faster than we thought at first. We need to report this to the guild and let them gather as many Blessed One as they can."

"I see. Then we should quickly use our return stone."

Laudia nods her head and takes out the return stone before crushing it. A second later, they arrive in front of the tower entrance.

".. and that is what happened. We need to fight against almost a thousand slimes before we reach the safe zone."

"That is concerning."

The man in front of Laudia frowns and rubs his head in frustration. This man is Eka Saputra, the Guild Master of the Jakarta Branch. He is a high B-rank Blessed One who watches over all Jakarta towers.

There are three towers in Jakarta: a C-rank tower in West Jakarta and two E-rank towers in North Jakarta.

"This is a disaster. We cannot have another flood happening right now. Too many Blessed One joined the expedition to Bali, and we did not have enough Blessed One to beat a flood."

Eka thinks for a moment before continuing.

"Laudia, I want to ask for a favor."

"What? What kind of favor? If you ask us to kill all those slimes, you are out of your mind. We can't do that."

"No. You can't, but he can."

Eka looks at Joshua.

"What, Joshua? What do you mean?"

"Do you see his hunting record?"

"No. I don't want to see someone's information without their consent."

"He beat more than a thousand Kobolds before he joined your party."

"What?!"

Laudia looks at Joshua, waiting for him to say that Eka is joking, but her jaw drops when he nods his head instead of telling them Eka was joking.

"Yes, I did. However, I cannot do that if there is someone near me. I almost kill someone even though they are far away from me."

"What do you mean, Joshua?"

Joshua looked at Laudia before saying.

"You already know about my power, right? You know that it will create a snowstorm every time I activate it."

"Yeah, I know about them. It is a double-edged sword as it can hinder your ally's movement if not for the cold resistance potion. What about it?"

"Yeah, the reason why I can kill that many Kobolds is that I use my ability at full power."

"... How bad is it?"

"A thousand more powerful than what you see. All the Kobolds in my ten meters radius freeze up instantly, and the one twenty meters from me slowly froze to death."

"Ah… Shit. That is powerful."

"Yeah, and very dangerous. I get cold resistance from my power, but I still get affected by it."

Eka looked at Joshua right in the eyes for a few seconds before saying.

"Joshua, I have a proposal."

"Eka, stop."

Before Eka could say his proposal, Laudia already knows what he is thinking and decides to stop him from saying it.

"I know what you are thinking, and I cannot agree with this strategy."

"And why? This is our only hope. If he can kill a thousand slimes, we can get more time to prepare."

"Wait, you did not want him to clear the floor?"

"What? Who do you think I am? No! I only want him to kill as much slime as he can and give us the time we need. I will try to gather as many high-ranking Blessed One as fast as I can."

"I see. What do you think, Joshua? Do you think you can do it?"

Joshua thinks about it for a moment before nodding his head.

"Yeah. Let's do this."
