Chapter 19

Seeing his teammate get harassed by the newly raised skeleton goblin, Joshua decides to retreat for a moment to help his team. Without thinking twice, Joshua quickly retreated back while swinging his sword around.

However, his sword is not very effective against the skeleton as his sword only cuts some of the bones of the goblins undead. Seeing his weapon of choice is not working, Joshua changes his sword into a one-handed war hammer.

With a hammer made of ice in both of his hands, Joshua continued to fight his way to his teammate. Because of him going on full offense, Joshua's personal shield takes a good beating. It did not get destroyed, but it started to crack.

After five minutes, he arrived in front of the flank of the goblin fighter and started to swing his hammers around. Joshua swings down his hammer, destroys the skeleton's entire body, creates an ice block above the skeleton, and lets it fall. The Ice Block weight and the height where the ice block dropped from can destroy the skeleton with a single hit.

Laudia roars once again and attracts all the skeleton goblins around her to attack her alone even though her body is filled with wounds. She knows her role and trusts her teammates to protect her back while protecting them from the front.

And she is correct. Ricky, Agnes, and Rachel support her using their power. Agnes uses her full power to heal all the wounds on Laudia's body, while Ricky and Rachel boost her defense capabilities even more.

They continue to fight for another ten minutes to destroy all the skeletons around them. However, before they could rest, the boss raised the staff in his hand high in the air, and Joshua could see it glow in ominous red color.

A second later, the skeleton they just destroyed suddenly raises once again with a new body without any crack.

"Dammit! Joshua! Protect Rachel! Ricky, Agnes! Give me one minute!"

Because of the cooldown of her power, she needed another one minute before she could take the attention of all the goblins around her. They continue to fight while protecting each other for three minutes before Laudia's sense of danger screams at her.

She looks at the throne and sees the fifteen goblin mages are ready to fire their strongest spell. The reason why they take longer to prepare the spell is that they are undead. They did not have vocal cords anymore and needed to focus their magical energy, and it took longer.

However, because they do this, they are able to create more powerful spells. In exchange for speed, it creates more power.

"Joshua! Fireball! Switch!"

"On it!"

Joshua changes position with Laudia and puts his hand on the ground before quickly creating a massive wall of ice in front of him. However, he didn't stop there; he created another two thick walls of ice before the fifteen fireballs hit.

*BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM* *BOOM*

Explosion after the explosion hit the Ice Wall. The first ice wall did not last long as it was immediately destroyed. The second one quickly followed the first one, and the third one was able to hold for a little while, but it was not enough.

Two fireballs hit him head-on and created a massive explosion.

*BOOM* *BOOM*

"Joshua!"

Laudia screams while bashing her shield toward the skeleton in front of her. She tries to run toward Joshua, but a group of Goblin fighters holds her up every time she tries to do that. Currently, she is caught between a rock and a hard place. If she decides to go for Joshua, she will leave Rachel open for the Goblin to hit, and if she decides to stay here, she cannot help Joshua.

She really hates doing this, but she decides to stand her ground and protect Rachel, her lover, and soon-to-be wife.

When the smoke disappears after a few seconds, Laudia and the others can see Joshua once again. Currently, he is standing in the middle of a massive crater. His body is full of burn damage from the fireball.

However, it was not enough to kill Joshua as he has the physique of a Godslayer. However, it was enough to cause a good amount of damage. He is really lucky that he still has his Death Embrace left, and it takes half of the damage done to him.

Even when his body is full of injury, Joshua is still standing and glares at the group of goblins near the throne. Joshua looked at Laudia and the others before saying.

"Laudia! I will leave these goblins to you! I will go all out!"

Laudia smashed the skeleton with each other before shouting.

"Are you out of your mind?! You almost died from Hypothermia the other day! And you have a healthy body at that time! Look at you! You are a human kebab!"

Laudia smashes another goblin with her shield and waits for Joshua's answer.

"Heh, don't worry about it. I will try not to overwork my power."

Laudia frowned a little before releasing a sigh.

"I will treat you to the most expensive all-you-can-eat BBQ in Jakarta! I know you like the meat in that place! Stay alive, and I will pay for the all-you-can-eat BBQ you want for five days straight! Stay alive! If you dare to die here, I will find a way to resurrect you and then kill you myself!"

Laudia crushed another skull with her hand and glared at Joshua's back. When she sees him smile like that, she remembers her former party leader and can only smile back at him.

"Don't worry. I will be back!"

After saying that, Joshua took a deep breath before starting to chant.

"Hear me, Lord of the Underworld, I offer my crowns to you and ask for your cold hand to let the world see the majesty of my true crown!"

After the chant is over, the entire boss room starts to change. Every corner of the room is now filled with snow and even ice. The spells that the Goblin Mages prepared are even slower to cast as the only spells they know are fire-type spells and nothing else.

Sadly, other than that, the Undead Goblin Mages standing next to the Goblin King did not get affected by the debuff his full power does. An undead has absolute immunity to a normal cold attack. Only a special kind of cold debuff can affect them.

However, this immunity was only for the undead goblins, not the Goblin King. Joshua can see that the Goblin King's movement is starting to get slow, and he can see ice creeping up into the Goblin Head from its toes.

When the frozen effect reaches the Goblin King's head, he knows that he will get an instant win. However, he knows that it will also cast him a long-lasting effect from using his full power for too long.

With a wave of his hand, before suddenly, all of the undead get trapped inside a block of thick ice. This will not kill them, but Joshua is not done. He was clutching his hands, and suddenly the thick ice started to condense before it exploded into a million pieces.

Seeing its minions get destroyed within a second, the Goblin King roars and stabs his staff to the ground, and the skull on the staff starts to glow once again.

"No, you don't!"

Joshua pushed his hands forward, and suddenly a wave of cold shockwaves swept toward the Goblin King. However, instead of freezing the Goblin King instantly, the shockwave passed through the Goblin King as if nothing was there.

The Goblin King ran away from Joshua before pointing his staff toward its fallen minions and, just like before, resurrected them back.

"Tch! I don't think so!"

With a wave of his hand, another cold shockwave swept across the room. Once again, the shockwave did not hit the Goblin Kings, but the rest of the undead were not so lucky. All of them get trapped inside a thick block of ice once again, and just like before, they get destroyed when Joshua makes a fist gesture.

After doing that gesture, Laudia, Rachel, Ricky, and Agnes arrive next to him. He looked at them before saying.

"What are you guys doing here?! You will get affected by my power!"

Laudia looks at him with a smirk on her face before saying.

"Don't worry. I bought a rather powerful cold resistance potion. We will not be affected by your power for fifteen minutes."

Joshua looked at her for a second before saying.

"Very well. Let's defeat this fucker before the fifteen minutes mark. Before we go, I need to tell you of his power. That is rather annoying. The Goblin King can get into a spiritual state that lasts for three seconds, and once it is over, the power has a three-second cooldown. When he is in a state of spirit, that bastard cannot attack and can only move around."

"That is rather fast."

"But enough for us to kill that bastard."

"Heh," Laudia gives Joshua a smirk before nodding to her head. "Let's go!"

Laudia charges toward the boss and roars. The Goblin King cannot attack anyone other than her when the chain is wrapped around it. The Goblin King points its staff at Laudia and fires a black beam toward her. However, before it could reach her, a massive wall of ice appeared in front of the black beam.

Ricky decides to take action and jump toward the Goblin King with his sword and shield in hand. Ricky swung his sword downward and tried to do some damage to the Goblin King; however, before it could hit, the Goblin King blocked the incoming attack. This is the weakness of Laudia's power. While the Goblin King cannot attack other targets, it can still block all incoming attacks.

Rachel and Agnes point their staff toward the Goblin King before firing a lightning and water spell toward the Goblin King. Seeing the incoming attack, the Goblin King decides to do the only option it can think of; it uses his power.

The spell misses the target, and the Goblin King can only stay there doing nothing as he cannot attack Laudia and cannot get away because of her power. When its power is dispelled, Joshua jumps toward the Goblin King's head and touches it with his hand.

"Hello! And Goodbye!"

The Goblin King turned into ice before being destroyed into a million pieces.
