Chapter 18

"Laudia, what the fuck?! I thought you would hold them back!"

"Don't shout at me! Shout at them! I tried to warn them, but those bastards decided to get inside before I could warn them. I don't want my team to get inside while protecting a group of assholes who cannot see danger in front of their eyes!"

Eka looked at her for a second before nodding his head and sighing. He knew the reason why she did not want to get inside and help them. He already sees the incident regarding the Wild Hunt party. He is one of the people that arrives to congratulate her party, but instead of celebrating, he finds a group of people mourning the death of their party member.

"I see. I'm really sorry for shouting at you. It was just a really busy day."

"I don't blame you. Today is not our day."

"Yeah. However, we cannot stop yet. Laudia, I want you and your party to prepare to get inside the boss's room before it could get out of the room. We don't want that."

"Will do. We were already prepared to get inside after all before those idiots got inside."

Eka nods his head and looks at the gate before saying.

"Eighteen people get inside, right?"

"What?! There should be more than twenty people inside!"

Laudia, Joshua, and Rachel look up and see that Eka is right. There are only eighteen people left inside the boss room, and a few seconds later, it drops to seventeen.

"I don't know if this is because the boss is stronger than I predict it, or they are just incompetent," Laudia says out loud while looking at the number above her. "In case it was the first one, we need to prepare. Eka, get inside the dungeon with us, or the people next to you will be the one that comes with us?"

Eka looks at Laudia and nods his head. "Ricky and Agnes will come with you. Agnes is supporting Blessed One while Ricky is a tank. Agnes' main power is to create a ball of light that sticks to other people and heals them constantly. She can create three balls of light. Ricky's power is that he can create an aura that increases his defense and the people three meters around him. You will be the captain in this emergency quest, and yes, I officially make this an emergency quest."

Laudia nods and says.

"Understood. We will get to the boss room immediately when those people are dead. Prepare yourself."

While Laudia sounds pessimistic by saying that, she only thinks of a logical conclusion. Many people died in the tower; adding twenty more people is not something that she needs to panic about, especially to the people who did not heed her warning.

It takes one hour before the countdown reaches zero, and the gate opens up. It looks like the Gondor Gulgul is not as incompetent as they thought they were. However, what Joshua and the others did not know, the leader of Gondor Gulgul decided to hide like a coward he is and use his power of concealment while letting his party get butchered.

It takes forty-five minutes before the concealment fails as his energy gets depleted from the constant use of his power. It only takes two minutes for the boss to kill him.

"Alright, the boss room is open. Remember the plan. I will be the main tank, Ricky will be the second tank helping me block a heavy hit. Joshua will be our main damager. Agnes will use her two balls of light on both Ricky and me, while Rachel will focus on healing Joshua but also debuffing the boss with her power. Our main tactic is the lure and hit or hold and hit tactic, depending on our boss stage. Do you understand?"

"Yes"

Joshua, Rachel, Ricky, and Agnes say that at the same time. Laudia nods her head at the reply and says.

"Let's go."

The five of them get inside the boss room and frown at the sight inside the room. The room is massive. It was three hundred meters from where they stood and the throne at the end of the room in the opposite direction of them. The width of the room is around half a kilometer long.

Underneath them is a red carpet that leads them to the throne. Stand on the side of the carpet fourteen pillars that reach the ceiling, a hundred meters above them. The pillars have a diameter of three meters long.

When the Goblin King sees Joshua and his party, it stands up from his throne and shouts loudly.

"Kekak! Kak! Kek!"

After the shout, a massive magic circle appears underneath the Goblin King, and suddenly eight hundred Goblins appear from the ground. Seeing the massive number of the Goblins that the Goblin King summoned, Laudia looks at Joshua and says.

"Joshua, do it!"

"On it!"

Joshua takes a deep breath before starting his chant.

"Witness my greatness! Come! Come to me, my crown! The crown of the underworld! Your Prince calls on your power!"

Ricky and Agnes now know the reason why Laudia decides to ask them to take a cold resistance. Rachel and Laudia did not need that potion because they had already built a resistance toward cold after constant training with Joshua every day when they were on vacation.

"Alright! Take as many of them as you can!"

"Roger!"

With a wave of his hand, a massive ice cyclone appears in front of him and travels toward the group of goblins who are charging at them. In a single attack, Joshua was able to kill a hundred of them and leave the other injured.

Joshua created fifty ice swords and let them loose to kill another fifty goblins. However, it was not enough to stop them from arriving in front of them. It looks like the boost given to them from the Goblin King is even more powerful than usual.

"Impact!"

When Laudia shouted, a chain appeared and warped around the goblins getting inside her range. When the chain wraps around the Goblins, they start to change the direction of their charges. They are coming to Laudia, who are already expecting their attack.

Ricky's body starts to glow in golden color when he sees Laudia get their attention and share the golden light with Laudia, who stands next to him. Behind Ricky and Laudia are two balls of lights that heal them every second. Right now, Laudia has become an indestructible object.

Rachel already summons her spirit and orders it to buff Joshua to make him more agile and powerful.

While Laudia gets most of the attention of the Goblins, Joshua and Ricky are the one taking care of the goblins who are not affected by Laudia's power. While Ricky is a tank, a sharp sword is still a sharp sword. He can use it to cut down any goblins who try to get into Rachel and Agnes' position.

However, his kill count was not as big as Joshua's, who cut through the goblins as a hot knife cut through butter. Every part of his movement is not wasted because of the constant training he gets from Laudia.

Swing right, swing left, block, parry, and dodge. Each of the movements is connected with another movement. That is the first thing Laudia told him to remember. Always connect your movement with another movement and never leave an opening for the opponent to exploit.

While swinging his sword around, Joshua catches a glint of light coming from the throne. He widens his eyes and quickly arrives in front of Laudia before creating a massive ice wall in front of him.

It was just in time to block the incoming attack from the Goblins magician that they ignored because of the constant attack of the goblins fighter. Fifteen fireballs hit the wall and exploded. It creates a massive shockwave.

Even while Joshua created them without preparation, he can still hold the fireball with relative ease.

"Joshua! Take care of the Goblins in the back! We cannot hold them when we are focusing on them! Don't worry. We will hold our ground! Go!"

Joshua nods his head, and when he dismisses the wall of ice in front of him, he charges at the Goblins near the throne. With a wave of his hand, he creates a cyclone that goes toward them, but to his surprise, the fifteen goblin mages create a massive magic circle and dispel his cyclone.

Seeing his attack did not work, Joshua fired fifty swords at the goblin mages. However, before it reaches them, the Goblin King decides it is time to get into the fight by deflecting almost all the incoming swords with his ax.

Sadly for the Goblin King, Joshua can recreate his ice construct in an instant after it gets destroyed. An ice spike appears from the ground with a mental command and stabs the goblins right through their brains.

After killing the fifteen Goblin Mages, he sent the rest of his ice construct to attack the Goblin Kings. When his ice spear stabs the Goblin King, he expects it to die, but to his surprise, the Goblin King starts to release a blood-red aura around him before shouting.

After destroying Joshua's ice spike, the Goblin King summons a staff with a skull on top of it. The eye sockets of the skull shine, and seconds later, the dead Goblins start to rise back as a skeleton, including the goblin fighter near Joshua's party member.

"Fuck! This boss is a double class!"
