Chapter 27

Joshua looks around for a few seconds and notices that he is standing in the middle of a grassland. His gaze stopped at the lone building not too far away from him. It was a chapel standing in the middle of the grassland.

Before he gets close to the chapel, Joshu takes a deep breath and says,

"Witness my greatness! Come! Come to me, my crown! The crown of the underworld! Your Prince calls on your power!"

A second later, five orbs appear around him. After summoning his authority, Joshua slowly walked toward the chapel. When he opens the door, he can see a young man kneeling on the podium. Joshua notices that the young man is currently praying.

Joshua decided to wait for him to finish his prayer and sit down on the chair. He waited for almost half an hour before the young man got up from the ground. He can finally see the entire face of the man in front of him.

The man is tall and powerful, with a broad shoulder and strong arms. He has light brown hair and purple eyes that shine in power. He is currently wearing full-body armor except for the helmet. There is a red cross symbol on his chest plate and a symbol that looks like an unknown word around it.

His oval-shaped face is so pristine without any scar that only the most beautiful woman could have. However, his handsome face is not making him feminine. No, it makes him nobler and more dignified.

Not only that, the golden aura around him makes him look like a saint, and without him knowing it, he is correct in his assumption.

"Thank you for waiting for me, O intruder. For a heretic, you are at least the honorable type. May the Lord forgive you on Judgment Day for your kindness today. May I know your name? I will pray for your soul once I send you to the Lord."

Joshua frowns a little at what he hears but decides to answer the man's question.

"My name is Joshua Hamil. May I have yours?"

"Hmmmm. You are polite, and it would be impolite of me not to answer someone who is politely asking for my name. Very well. Hear my name, heretic! For this name will be the one who sent you to the Lord to be judged. My name is George of Lydda! But you may know me as Saint George of the Bronze Armor!"

Joshua widens his eyes when he hears the name of the man in front of him. He knows about him. Even when he is not a history reader, he knows about him and his legend. He is the Saint who slain a dragon who demands a sacrifice from the village for generations.

"I see. It is an honor to meet you, Saint George."

"En. Let us begin the battle, but we cannot have a battle in the house of the Lord. Let me change that."

A second later, the chapel they are currently in changes into an endless field. The chapel disappears from the area, and the only thing left in the area is Joshua and George. After changing the battlefield, George looked at Joshua before summoning his sword.

The sword is a work of art. The body is made of some sort of steel with a silver color. It shines when the sunlight touches its blade. On the bottom of the blade, there is a carving of the face of a dragon.

The hilt of the sword is made of golden-colored metal, and there is a massive ruby in the pommel. Just like the blade, there is a carving on the hilt of the sword. However, the carving is not a drawing of a dragon. It was an old rune formula.

"Joshua Hamil! A heretic who stands against heaven! The one who usurped the authority of heaven. Your life shall forfeit!"

After saying that, George appears in front of Joshua and swings down his weapon. Joshua is too slow to do anything about it, but lucky for him; he already activates his authority before coming into the chapel.

George's sword meets against an ice barrier that appears in front of Joshua. However, the shield, which should be able to take a few blows from a strong attack, broke in a single attack. George's attack is so strong that it breaks the barrier that should be able to take three very strong attacks.

Joshua quickly jumps away from George and creates an ice cyclone toward him. Not only that, but Joshua also created fifty ice spears and combined them with the ice cyclone. Seeing the incoming attack, George looked at the ten meters tall cyclone for a second before starting his chant.

"My companion! My partner! Come! Your master is calling for your aid! Come to me, O White Stallion! Bayard!"

When he finished his chant, his entire body glowed in white color, and it was when the cyclone hit him. The cyclone stays at his location for a few seconds before it passes him, and to Joshua's surprise, George is still there, but he is sitting on top of a huge stallion this time.

This is Bayard, the loyal steed of Saint George. The legend says that as long as he is on his steed, he will not be unmounted. Because of this legend, he cannot be unmounted from his steed even from the strongest attack. Not only that, when he calls Bayard to his side, he will get an overall defense boost.

He can ignore many attacks and only notice a strong attack. After the cyclone walks away from him, George looks at Joshua before pointing his sword at Joshua, and a second later, Bayard charges at Joshua.

Seeing the incoming threat, Joshua decides to use the orbs that he rarely uses, the fifth orbs. The one which contains the true essence of the underworld.

Joshua points his finger at the incoming Saint and activates his fifth orb. His finger glows a little, and a second later, George can feel his body invaded by the cold of death.

George frowned before saying.

"Nay! I will not fall from this! I will only fall when my Lord tells me to!"

This is his passive ability. It gives him immunity from the Instant Death effect from religion outside his. As long as it was an attack of Pagans origin, he will have absolute immunity to it.

This is coming from his legend that says he is enduring an insane amount of torturer because the torturer wants him to denounce his belief. However, he never denounces his belief, and the only thing he says to his torturer is: "Only HE who can tell me when my time is up. Until he tells me to die, even your greatest torture will not move me."

George arrived in front of Joshua, who did not have enough time to dodge the incoming attack and cut off his head from his body.
