"Okay… How do I go about getting to this random world that I'm going to be sent to?"
[Just think the word "Shop" and an interface will show up, there is the world roll item that you can purchase for 0 points. Once you've bought it just think of using it.]
As I purchase the item and follow the instructions, something akin to a slot machine shows up and starts spinning, I can't get a view of any names while it spins, but as it stops it lands on the word Naruto to which I let out a sigh with the meaning of "Of course." but the wheel under it kept spinning until it landed on the words Konoha Year 75 which through my memory, which is pretty much perfect when it comes to anything I've read about a fictional world tells me it is around 3 years before the main canon starts.
Within seconds after finding out the year I'm being sent to, everything goes black but not a second later I find myself in the middle of a forest with nothing else within sight. Not knowing what else to do I simply say "System, what next?"
]
[Now go to the shop and collect your final free items and use them, the rest is up to you.]
With that, I go to the shop to be shocked to see 2 items for free, not just the one I was expecting. First of course is the Starter Character Package but there is also World Starter Package. I decided to open the world starter package first to see what I can get from it. Rather than a spinning wheel the system just says [Items added to host inventory] in which I don't need to ask the system first, I just think the word Inventory and a new interface popped up, in it there were 3 items. Shinobi Starter Kit, Shinobi Basic Powers Kit and Basic Shinobi World Items.
I opened them all in that order. The Shinobi Starter Kit was some Kunai, Shuriken, Paper Bombs, Smoke Bombs, Food Pills etc. just basic equiptment that even any Genin would have. The Shinobi Basic Powers Kit was a little more interesting, as when I activated that, an odd sensation flooded my body which the system told me once I asked that I was given access to Chakra, around the level of a new Chunin, the knowledge and ability to perform the Clone Jutsu, Substitution Jutsu, Transformation Jutsu, Body Flicker Jutsu and surprisingly the knowledge on how to disrupt your chakra to dispel a Genjutsu. I was also given random elemental attributes, which the system wouldn't reveal the type. Finally, Basic Shinobi World Items included a world map, compass, spare clothing and most importantly 100,000 Ryo, which while not much in the grand scheme of things, was enough to live off for a while.
Then came the most important roll of the dice of my life. The spin to see which characters powers I got, from asking the system I've found out it is truly randomized across all characters I have knowledge of that have fighting ability, and they don't have to be a main characters or even a majorly important character, so it could range anywhere from Kon from Bleach to somebody like Aoki from Hajime no Ippo to Saitama from One Punch Man. If I roll badly here, I'll have no choice but to use nothing but Chunin level Chakra and basic Genin jutsu as a foundation to build up from. With that said, I activate the item and the slot starts spinning.
It felt like it took hours for those mere seconds to go by and the slot stopped. The character that showed up while not incredibly overpowered had the potential to be, especially using the world of Naruto as the basis of power. That name is Kazuma Kuwabara, a man who starts off as a fairly strong normal teenage delinquent but by the end of the Yu Yu Hakusho story has power strong enough to be considered the strongest human in that entire fandom, but more importantly, what can be considered his ultimate technique is something the people of Naruto will not be able to deal with, though I have a feeling it will be a while before I get access to it. The powers that I have currently gained from Kuwabara are:
Spiritual Awareness: The ability to see and sense the supernatural. Likely not of much use in the Naruto world, but maybe there is some use for it down the line.
Spiritual Power: Basically another form of energy to use along with Charka. Also gives the ability to add spiritual power to attacks, increasing the damage they do. How strong this is, is unknown currently.
Spirit Sword: His iconic ability, to manifest a sword out of pure spirit energy that grows in strength based on how much energy he puts into it. More importantly, he can lengthen, shorten and even bend this sword at will.
It seems that the package gave me the powers of Dark Tournament Kuwabara so I suspect once I get the points to upgrade the package, it will give me the Post Chapter Black Kuwabara or End of Manga Kuwabara which will definitely be useful, especially against a certain loveblind fool.
So now here I sat, after looking for any landmarks or towns nearby to make use of my map to find out where I am, I finally discovered I am in the Land of Grass making me in between the Stone, Leaf and Rain. (Iwagakure, Konohagakure and Amegakure) plus some smaller ninja villages that don't particularly matter in the grand scheme. Now I need to decide where I want to go. To gain points I need to make big changes to the plot and I could do that relatively easily at either of those 3 Villages.
If I go to Amegakure, that would, once I gain enough strength give me an in with the Akatsuki, as by this point in time Hanzo is long dead and Pain rules the village now. The problem is, it will likely be a while before I'm strong enough to even warrant the attention of Akatsuki, I'd wager in terms of overall strength right now with Ninja skills alone I'd be around as strong as Sakura in the Chunin exams, which isn't a pleasant thought. With the addition of Spirit Power and the Spirit Sword, I'd probably be as strong as an unnamed generic Jonin. If I want to get stronger I need both points for the system and to learn taijutsu, genjutsu and ninjutsu.
If I go to the stone, just giving them a strong fighter plus some knowledge of future events could change the plot massively to gain me a lot of points. Imagine if the Stone decided to attack the Leaf immediately after the Sand and Orochimaru's attempt at the Chunin exams.
As for going to the Leaf, it would give me the highest advantage when it came to knowledge of the people there. I'd have a good understanding of everybody of actual importance including their personalities and in some cases weaknesses. It would definitely be a comfortable choice. But there is a problem no matter where I decide to go… Identity. As far as this world is concerned I, at the apparent age of mid 20s to early 30s appeared out of nowhere and nobody has heard of me or even seen me.
If I can make it into one of those villages and officially become a part of them, I have multiple ideas on how to change things up, the problem is the paranoia of this world. If I go to the rain to eventually join Akatsuki, Pain will be suspicious of me once he realizes he can't find any information about me at all, not to mention Obito and Zetsu in the shadows.
In the Leaf, I'd need to gain Hiruzen's support or trust, but even then as an outsider Danzo will likely want to watch me like a hawk or try to put a seal on me. But outside of Danzo and the Elders, I'm sure with the leaf with enough good deeds towards the leaf, the rest of the Village will welcome me.
The Stone would likely be the easiest to get access to, they are always in need of strong people due to their bad relations with both the Leaf and Lightning causing a lot of conflict and the Sand often taking advantage of that. They'd likely keep me under observation until Onoki decided to trust me but other than that they'd be happy even not trusting me as long as what I was doing helped their village.
But from these options, I have to choose one of them.
Do I go Akatsuki and try to manipulate them into changing their goals or slowly weakening them so they can't achieve their goals in the first place.
Do I go to Iwagakure and try to bring the true age of the Stone, making them the biggest powerhouse instead of the Leaf.
Or do I go to the Leaf, and figure out ways to change everything like actually making Sakura both strong and useful or even finding a way to take over one of the genin teams in 3 years and make the Ino-Shika-Cho team the strongest. Or I could just try and assassinate Danzo, him being dead this early would change a massive amount of events.
Well… I guess I'll…

True Cliffhanger (That nobody probably cares about)
[A/N1: Give me feedback, should I continue this or is the plot and way the story is going so bad I should just let go, have a think and try to come up with something better. Just having written these 2 chapters down and reading them back has already helped me a bit in writing, one day I'll eventually get decent at it.]
[A/N2: As I mentioned in the previous chapter, I won't be writing any more of this until I've had time to get feedback and see the reception of the story, so the choice on where MC goes has not been made yet. It will likely be one of the 3 options above, but it could end up as something I've yet to think of but will by the time I start writing the next chapter. Let me know what you think of the options given.]
[A/N3: Come meet actual people, no matter where he goes, the MC is soon going to need a name, suggestions?]
