46- Ruanximen clan, spatial treasures.

Adel was met by a beast protecting a special invisible door that was floating behind it as he approached the location he'd gotten from the beast.

The entire skin of the beast has been covered in broad white scales, each scale twinkling with a refracted chilly, magnificent bright light.

The scales alone were both breathtaking and terrifying to see. The beast's four scale-covered long legs were even more frightening, as they were at least several meters long. This white beast was completely covered in a white glow, which helped to cover up its cold, lethal-looking black fangs.

More than half of the creature's total body length was taken up by its long, scale-covered tail. It started swinging like a whip across the surface. Every time it hit the ground, a deep thud could be heard from below.

"Grr..."

The beast's jaw shook, revealing two rows of massive, saw-like teeth. Each tooth was an ivory white color.

With a piercing shriek, white heat erupted from the beast's nostrils before it transformed its voice to that of a human.

The beast then eyed Adel for a dozen seconds, unable to sense any energy fluctations, before saying:

"What business do you have with the Ruanximen clan, human?"

In reality, the beast would have attacked Adel as soon as he got close to the entrance.

However, it was unable to determine his strength based on his energy fluctuations, meaning that Adel either had enough control over them to conceal them from its view, or his strength was just too high for it to discern.

And the beast knew it wouldn't attack the human directly, because both the latter and the former ensured Adel wouldn't be an easy foe even if it battled with its numerous soul spells...

Adel didn't appear upset by the beast, but more as if he had anticipated all of this to happen.

Back in the beasts' region, that victim beast told him about its clan's location while handing him a token that allowed him to enter the clan.

It knew it wouldn't let any humans into its clan, so it detailed how Adel should approach the beast that was guarding the entrance before heading in.

And, as he had guessed, the beast's facial expressions changed significantly as Adel casually tossed the token at it, before returning to its calmness.

It then stepped back, and a large stick emerged in front of it, before tapping the door twice.

When it tapped it again, it opened, revealing a city on the other side of the door.

'So this beast's origins aren't as simple as they seemed.' Adel mused as he looked at the piercing in the beast's nose.

The beast's clan had intelligence, as they all seemed to talk. But the previous one couldn't, obviously due to the sustained injuries from the Residence Of Beasts.

The beast's nose piercing is a spatial treasure tool that may store nearly any object, resource, cultivation method, or other item! It is a valuable tool for a cultivator since it allows you to transport items. There are even spatial treasures suitable for life!

Therefore, possessing a spatial treasure was important for everyone.

But wouldn't that indicate that everyone has one?

The answer is: no.

They are so rare because they require a significant amount of resources to be created, and only fourth-step cultivators or above can obtain one.

They also require the assistance of a 4-star blacksmith in order to forge an item that can sustain the spatial inscriptions within without causing spatial anomalies.

They contained small spatial inscriptions for a typical spatial treasure, which is how they worked.

Spatial inscriptions are used to store items and transfer them to another area, just like spatial arrays transport humans or other races from one location to another.

There are two types of spatial treasures:

Ordinary spatial treasures have the other side wherein the spatial inscriptions lead to an area where food is stored, that prevents it from spoiling and keeps it fresh for a certain period of time.

That would be to keep the food nutritious, and this also lets any other non-living material be transferred there.

It also has the ability to store living creatures such as beasts, humans, etc.

As earlier mentioned, creating a spatial treasure requires the use of inscriptions to connect the items transferred from one area to another.

Unbeknownst to Adel, however, there is a greater tier of spatial treasures that can only be obtained by accessing and manipulating the supreme law of space, which is the heavenly spatial treasures type.

Utilizing the laws of space into an item, on the sage plane, offers a little space in which to store goods, making such treasures incredibly precious.

On planes below the sage plane, they are, however, non-existent.

Nevertheless, the spatial treasures formed by inscriptions aren't secure, as one can go to the other end and steal the stuff stored therein.

As such, the higher tier of spatial treasures that have their own space are nearly impossible to steal from.

But, since nothing is perfect, there are methods by which one can steal even those spatial treasures. But that is a talk for another day.

Back to Adel.

The beast's origins being a fourth step one, or above, was the reason of his surprise previously, as only then did it actually have a way to get spatial treasures.

As such, he dashed through the portal-like entrance, which utilized an illusionary formation to mislead the mind into assuming there was no such city nearby.

It was most likely a Tier 4 configuration, meaning that anyone below the fifth step couldn't see the illusion.

That is, provided the beast wasn't stationed at the entrance.
