She shouldn't be hired

Walking into the bar that had such a deafening music played on, Eric looked around searching for his friend but couldn't find him. He decided to text him and eventually found him when Daniel texted him back that he's by the counter with a lady.

"Bro" they were friends so they didn't have to be formal. Eric greeted him as he sat on the stool across him.

"Here, meet my cupcake" he said introducing a lady dressed in a short dark blue gown with her hair dyed to green swept to the side of her head and her make up looking natural.

"Hi" she uttered smirking sexily at him wanting to seduce him too.

Eric offered a handshake instead and clear his throat when it seems she didn't want to let go his hand.

"Babe, give us a moment okay?" Daniel requested, he received a kiss on his lips. "Sure" she left.

"You never stop amazing me. Another girl?" Eric asked in disbelief not that he didn't expect that but doesn't his friend get tired of hanging out with ladies?

"Yup, another sexy girl" he wet his lips.

"I guess, I'm disturbing you then"

"Totally"

"Ouch.."

"Okay sorry, I don't mean to be rude, just honest" he said lifting his hands as if he was surrendering to something.

"No.. no, I can see you are busy" he stood up when the lady came back but with another lady who stopped him by pinning him down.

"Eric why don't you just have fun tonight" Daniel suggested.

The lady was already caressing his head. "Hi, I'm Manda" she introduced herself but Eric didn't take a good look at her. He looked at his friend and then to her.

"Sorry, not interested" he said and with that he took her hand off him. "Catch you later" he told his friend before standing up to leave. He just wasted his time to come all the way here.

"Hmm, your friend is so serious" Manda pulled her gaze from Eric whose back she could only see as he walks away to Daniel who was with her friend.

"That's the way he is" Daniel replied, Tory playing with his hair drove him nuts. He grabbed her hand before crushing his lips on hers, kissing her wildly. Oh! He couldn't wait.

He broke the kiss, taking her hand to drag her out of the bar, she smirked approvingly as she dropped the drink she had and winked at Manda before finally leaving her sight.

Yes! It's Thursday, the day for her interview, she couldn't sleep that night but had a little. Lucy was happy that she hasn't been having her attack, it was her mother that caused it the other day. Thinking of my mother, her chest felt heavy again because every time she remembers her mother, she remembers how her aunt maltreated her.

She did her morning activity and stared at her mirror as she had her tiny breakfast.

Lucy doesn't eat much again because of her sickness, sometimes she doesn't even have the appetite to eat but eventually forces herself and right now that's what she was doing.

After breakfast she wore, a blue shirt tucked in to her blue long trouser. She grabbed her bag and then left.

The day was bright and beautiful, she checked the address of the place for the interview and then took a cab there. It was kind of far from her house.

After combing his hair and buttoning his shirt, he grabbed his jacket and dropped a tip for the girl he enjoyed the whole night. "Daniel are you leaving?" Tory woke up covering her nakedness with the white bedsheet as her gaze followed him to the door.

"Manda, I have a meeting, dropped something for you already" he said and left the room.

"It's Tory" she whispered to herself.

"How are you?" Daniel texted Lucy on the messenging app he has on his cellphone.

"I'm fine. What about you?" She replied.

"I'm very much fine, just missing you" he texted back as he walked to the elevator with his secretary by his side.

"There you go again, flattering me"

"Am I?"

Lucy walked into the big five star hotel, is this where she is going to work? She didn't know she applied to such a big hotel like this. Oh, this was luck! Maybe life has decided to treat her better after realizing she had suffered enough.

The receptionist told her where the interview would be taking place when Lucy asked. She thanked her and looked around for the elevator, the door was about closing but she was fast to stop it. She offered a smile to the people in, staring like they've seen a ghost.

"Umm, Yes"

"Princess, you should be flattered" she smirked upon seeing that, looks like he had been waiting for her reply.

"Princess?"

"Yes and I'm your prince. You belong to me and I belong to you"

Lucy knew this man was good with words, she couldn't deny that for the first time she was actually flattered by a man she hasn't even met.

"Wow, if you got a girlfriend she really must be lucky."

"I don't have any girl except from my beautiful princess"

Here again, he made her blushed. She stopped smiling when the elevator door went opened, everyone went out leaving only her. Just then two men went in. She could smell the fragrance of the man's perfume. She loved it.

She look up at him but averted her gaze back to her phone when it beeped.

Wait, this man looked familiar, she looked up at him again because he was taller and bigger than she was and also attractive in that grey suit of his and with the way he looked, he is a rich man. She couldn't take her eyes off him but when he looked her way, she looked away and he chuckled, she could hear him.

She turned again to glance at him but to her surprise, he was looking at her and for the first time, her heart skipped a beat. She didn't know what got into her, "Daniel.." she uttered the name of the man she was chatting with online. Why?

"Do I know you?" He asked and his voice, it was so fruity.

She nodded and then went to their previous conversation, Daniel had sent his pictures to her once.

She looked at him and then the picture. It really was him!

She tried to hide her expression but he found it.

"It is I, your princess" she couldn't believe she said that, how could she be a rich man's princess? Seems like his words is really making an effect on her. She pressed her lips trying to see the reaction on his face but didn't because she wasn't facing him.

"Lucy.." he did not only call her name but also her attention. When she looked at him he laughed and she frowned but her smiley face covered her real expression.

"Never, thought you were this shy" he teased. "What are you doing here? I never thought I'd see you here and today" the expression on his face caused lines on his forehead.

She looked away. "I'm here for an interview."

"Interview?"

She nodded.

"What job?"

"A chef" she glanced at him and he nodded approvingly and then they heard the ding sound. Signalling to her the door was about to open.

"What are you doing here then?" She asked, she wanted to know before going.

"I'm the owner of the hotel" he uttered. "Well, good luck with the interview"

"Thank you!" She said before the elevator door went closed again.

She sighed and was excited, she knew the owner of the hotel so she was one hundred percent sure she'd get the job. Lucy still couldn't believe, Daniel is the owner and actually met him on a day like this. Today's gonna be good. She thought.

In the elevator, Daniel turned to his secretary. "She shouldn't be hired" he instructed him and he nodded knowing what to do.

A/N; I'm really sorry to all my readers.

My grammatical errors are totally annoying and I get that a lot.

But please I'm begging you, pardon my mistakes and dive into the intriguing story of Lucy and Eric, trust me it's really worth reading despite the errors.

I wish and would improve in writing someday and would be able to afford an editor soon for the book if you support me.

Thank you so much for understanding.

Much love
