All their fault

Lucy was laying on her bed sleeping peacefully when a knock on her door made her gasped and woke her up from sleep, she groaned in dissatisfaction, she wanted more sleep and who could that be disturbing her so early in the morning?

Still half awake she dragged her feet to the door. "Who is it?" She yelled before opening the door to see Eric with a wide smile on his face.

"Good morning" he greeted and she had her eyes widened. She looked behind the door to check the time and it was a little after eight. Oh God! This man....

Eric was surprised when she opened the door to see her still in her underwears, he felt uneasy about it but forced a smile and greeted.

With a sleepy gaze she scratched her temple and looked up at him. "It's still so early Eric" she complained.

"I'm sorry" he apologized with his heads down, maybe he was too excited to go to the orphanage with her. "I got this for you" he said handing her the big pack of chocolate. She received it with a fake smile and welcomed him in.

He sat on the only couch she had, she went in and dropped the chocolate before going back to him with her very short tight in pink and her pink bra singlet. Eric couldn't tear his gaze from her body but he looked away and swallowed. Doesn't she feel uncomfortable with him seeing her that way?

Then his stomach growled, "I'm hungry Lucy" he said sounding like he was telling his mom.

Lucy eyed him with that sleepy look of hers. "Don't you eat at home?" She asked, she didn't want to cook that morning and was so lazy to do anything yet.

Eric offered a puppy pleading look while she shook her head saying NO. "Feel at home" she said and left for her room, she lie on her bed to sleep some more, she needed rest so she closed her eyes and she was almost asleep when she heard her name from that voice... That annoying voice! She was frightened by that and knew it was none other than that Eric... Eric please! She wanted to yell at him but she rolled over to face him seeing he was staring at her like she was his mother. "What is it Eric?" She asked reluctantly with her eyes half closed.

"I'm sorry to disturb you... You can have your sleep" he said sounding really apologetic. She felt relieved and blew a sigh. "Thank you!" She turned to sleep and then turned around again. "You can take a book and read or toy with your phone for the time being okay?" She sounded like she was his Mom... Uurgh! She rolled over and hugged her pillow before sleeping off.

Eric left her room, she spent almost three hours on her bed and when she was awake, she yawned so loudly and went to take her bath. Returning to her room she saw a big pack of chocolate. How did that.... Oh Eric. She got dressed and tied her hair into a ponytail before heading to the living room but he wasn't there. She shrugged and went to get her bag, she wore her sandals and walked out dialing his number before locking her house. Just then she heard someone's phone ring and caught a glimpse of someone climbing up her stairs. After locking she looked down to see Eric, she cut the call. "Thought you left" she said and dropped her phone into the bag she had with her.

Eric went closer to her and smiled. "I can't leave without you" he said in a low mesmerizing tone before pulling the rubber band off her hair. "That's better" he said and then looked at her. She was staring at him after he said he couldn't leave without her but when he met her gaze she looked at his hand that had taken hers, he handed the band to her. And she found it surprising that the two best friends like her hair down. Maybe she's beautiful that way. Well, she knew that but keeps tying it.

"Shall we?" He motioned to the stairs and she went down, after the stairs she halt and waited for him to also be down. He gave a questioning look.

"Where did you go?" She asked.

"Huh?"

"I mean you weren't in when I woke up, did you read as I told you?" She asked.

Eric was happy she for once showed concern, he touched her back slightly and gestured for them to keep walking as he explained. They left that spot.

"I'm happy you finally showed concerned"

She was asking herself why she even asked. "Okay" she uttered sounding like she wasn't interested in knowing but she wanted to know.

"I was hungry so I went to get something to eat" he told her, she offered a smile.. why didn't she think of that?

Eventually they were on the bus but unfortunately for Eric being too slow, some man took his place by sitting next to Lucy while he sat behind her. Lucy laughed silently and turned around to offer a mocking smile.

She turned back to her front and then her phone beeped. She unlocked it and saw his message. "Why don't you come sit next to me?" He asked.

"I don't want to"

"Why?"

"I don't know"

"But I want to have some talk with you"

"About...."

"I don't know.... Just..."

She shook her head after reading his text and didn't reply. Soon the man sitting next to her called her attention.

"Hi" he said in a low tone, she turned to him and smiled.

"I'm Justin" he introduced himself and stretched his hand out for a handshake, she took his hand and smiled, even if she wasn't, her face had already done that work for her. "Lucy" she said.

"Beautiful name, just wanna say you are beau...ti...ful" he gave her a compliment. She deliberately blushed but really wasn't flattered by his words.

Eric watched from behind wishing he was the one sitting next to her and was learning from the man on how to flatter a woman. He doesn't have any history of when he made Lucy impressed by his words. How he wished he could speak to her just as the man in front does.

"So what do you do for a living?" She asked after a light conversation.

"I'm a producer... You?"

"A chef" she replied.

"Then the dishes you make must be so delicious 'cause they are made from a pretty delicious hands like yours" he said taking her hand and kissed her knuckles.

Lucy smirked while Eric only watched. "Lucy..." He texted her but when her phone beeped and she checked it she ignored it and continue chatting with Justin.

Later on the bus stopped at another station. Eric climbed down first, he wanted to take the bus so he could have a beautiful conversation with her but someone took his place instead. Lucy eventually climbed down too and smiled at him. He smiled back at her and they went for the orphanage.

The children were all playing in the garden in different groups and different tasks when Lucy and Eric arrived, she notified all of them about her presence and they all came running to her, she gave some high fives and some hugs and some a kiss on their cheek and soon she introduced Eric to them, she also Informed the children that he's behind all the changes in the orphanage. With that they all went to meet Mister Eric. One of the children fell due to their attempted and left the crowd crying. Eric noticed that and after speaking with the children he excused himself and went to the crying small boy who looked like a seven year old child. He took his hand and led him to a bench. Eric carried him and placed him to sit on one of his laps. "Are you okay? Did you get hurt?" He asked, checking all over his body but didn't find any wound. The boy cleaned his tears with the back of his hands and looked away to see the children playing. "Hey... Boy stop crying and talk to me" Eric tried again.

"You don't wanna talk?" Eric asked when he didn't get a response and tickled the small boy. At first the boy wanted to laugh but was holding back and eventually he let it out and laughed out loud. Eric knew that would work because he does that with his little sister whenever she's upset with anyone in the house "I'm Eric... What's your name?" He asked when the boy had a smile on his face.

"My name is Christopher" he said now looking sad.

"Why are you so sad?" Eric asked with his hands wrapping his belly. Then Lucy came to join them, she sat down and waved at the little boy before shaking his hand slightly.

"Talk to me... I'm your friend" Eric persuaded the boy.

"I fell because I was pushed" he said with tears in his eyes. "It was intentional" he added.

"Why?"

The little boy began to cry again but Eric patted his back. "Don't cry"

"I get bullied because I have a big burn on my skin" he said and showed Mister Eric the burn on his hand.

When Eric saw that, he felt really bad and sorry for the little boy. So did Lucy. "So you get bullied" Eric repeated.

The little boy nodded with tears in his eyes and began to cry out loud. "I wish my parents never left me all alone. I wished they never got burnt in the fire" he cried more as he recalled. Lucy could see herself in the boy, this was how she felt when she was left with her aunt. She felt it was useless living but she couldn't kill herself. Her heart broke again seeing the little boy in pain. "All this is their fault because they left me all alone" he blamed his parents as he wiped his tears but they were too much.

Lucy wanted console him but what could she say? she is also broken and it was her parents fault especially her dad. If he never left, she wouldn't be so miserable and she wouldn't feel so much pain. Eric slowly turned to Lucy and saw a very sad look on her face. She's emotional again.
