The Birth

3rd person pov

"Ah! fuck you, Abramo!! Just wait till I am done!! I shall kick your fucking ass!!" Threatened the Italian Mafia Queen as her husband calmly held her hand like it was nothing.

Irena, the Italian Mafia Queen had always threatened to dismember him while giving birth. Several times during cramps. The Italian King, Abramo, had seen scarier threats from Irena though.

As Irena was taken to the ICU, there was someone far away from them who was watching this.

The scene in front of him was making him angry.

The whole Russi and Antonov family were present there, waiting for the doctor to come out.

After a few minutes, they heard the baby's cry.

All the family members jumped for joy.

The family doctor who had been their doctor since the birth of Alvise came out looking like he was on cloud nine.

Abramo rushed towards the doctor, with his sons behind him.

"Doctor?" He questioned, confused as to why the doctor was so happy, it was comparable to a child being given candy.

"Congratulations Abramo!! She is the most beautiful baby girl I have ever seen!!" Grins the doctor.

Abramo looked at the doctor, stunned. He couldn't believe he finally had a daughter. He stumbled back a little but composed himself.

To say, having a girl in the Russi family was a joyous event is an understatement. The Russi family wasn't able to hear a baby girl's cry for the last 4 generations!

The whole of Russi and Antonov family lights up like a bulb, hearing that they finally had someone to call their granddaughter, sister and niece.

Abramo rushed towards his wife and opened the door. The most beautiful scenery of his wife holding their daughter awaited him.

He hurried over to Irena who was lovingly holding their daughter. Tears welled up but he blinked them away.

Irena smiled for she knew Abramo loved his daughter. More than anything.

She handed the baby to her husband, who was slightly shaking.

Abramo smiled at the baby warmly.

A whole new bunch of emotions burst in his chest. Perhaps it was love, joy, happiness, ecstasy. Perhaps a combination of them all. Whatever it was, he felt warm. The emotions jumbled inside of him were hard to explain. He smiled and held her a bit awkwardly. He didn't know much about child-rearing.

Soon after the boys sprinted through the door making the sleeping baby flinch. Abramo noticed this and signaled the boys not to make a racket.

The boys smiled sheepishly while Irena chuckled.

They walked towards their baby sister and gasped when she opened her eyes to show the most unique and beautiful eyes.

Abramo and Irena soon joined the boys as they too gasped when they saw her eye colour.

Abramo couldn't understand why her precious eyes were of such a color. It was perhaps hazel but it was decorated with flecks of red and golden. Maybe it was the trick of light but they saw purple reflected back at them.

It was... unusual. Unnerving to look at.

He was about to take his daughter to the Russi family but the Antonov family entered the large VIP room.

They all crowded the baby cooing and such but hushed when the baby opened her eyes to all the noise.

Abramo's father prayed in Italian.

He looked like he'd seen a ghost. His lips were pursed and he looked withdrawn. "She.....she.....she has the eyes of your late great grandmother, Abramo." He said shakily looking away, all fondness lost.

All the members were shocked, they didn't expect that at all.

Then, the doctor burst in, amidst all the awkwardness. He saw the baby's eyes and his jaw dropped. "Oh....my!!........Abramo she is not only precious to you but also to the whole world."

Abramo frowned. "What do you mean?" All the gasps were getting to him.

"This eye colour is the most unique and precious eye colour in the world. I think only she is the one in the world who possesses those eyes."

The Antonov and the Russi family were shocked to hear that.

Abramo soon came out of his shock and smiled a little.

"Looks like I have to protect her double from everyone."

The family laughed. The atmosphere eased and the baby giggled, kicking the tiny arms and legs.

Someone frowned at all the laughing and happy atmosphere. "He doesn't deserve that." His voice was clenched. He hand formed into a fist. "Abramo doesn't deserve that." He repeated.

The whole family took the baby one by one and vowed to protect her.
