Guy’s phone rings as he cooks a soup to go with his main dishes of fried rice and sauteed shrimp.
“Sawadee krap Mochi” greeted Guy to the caller.
“Sawadee. I…uhhh…I just got home.”
“I see. What’s for your dinner?” asked Guy, relieved to know that Mochi is secure.
“Pork dumplings and vegetable soup.”
“I’m having shrimp and corn soup; I'm cooking the soup now."
“It’s good to know you can cook.”
“How about you Mochi, can you cook?” asked Guy. He would like them to exchange recipes some time if the other can indeed prepare a meal by himself.
“Only rice…uhm…through a rice cooker.”
Guy laughs at the response. “How about without the rice cooker?”
“I always cremate it,” answered Mochi, to which Guy laughs even harder. “You’re having so much fun, aren’t you?” he asked as he changes his clothes in his room: his phone is on speaker mode as they talk.
“I’m sorry, Mochi, but is your cooking really that bad?”
