School Assembly

The moment their group stepped down from the bus, the gates in front of them opened automatically and the Majestic Academy unfurled itself in front of their eyes.

And for the first time in her entire human life, she understood that she could fall in love at first sight with objects.

The school looked elegant with the perfect balance between technology and nature. Even the air was clean with all the plants and there was an unknown fragrance that drifted to them like aromatherapy.

The school was not like any other school. It was better than the others.

Snow looked around at the sights, feeling mesmerized. While colou led her to the assembly hall.

Unsurprisingly the assembly hall was already filled with a lot of people. They got a seat by the end of the hall, but Colou looked a bit displeased due to this. While Snow didn't mind it as she was way too busy looking at the people in the hall.

The hall had a slight French touch to it. The ceiling had a huge chandelier that merged with the surroundings perfectly as if it was always there. The walls of the hall were decorated with many portraits, but among them, the gilded world map was the most eye-catching.

As she was busy looking around, she suddenly heard people gasping for a slight moment. It gave her the impression as if a film celebrity was spotted. She peeked at Colou and found her usual poker face.

Snow could feel like the entire room had warmed up a bit. She focused on the stage far away and spotted a tall and lean man standing on the stage with a paper in his hands.

The man was wearing a formal black suit that fitted him like a glove, emphasizing his well build body over the years. He was about 1.7 meters (5'7") tall, with bluish eyes and round specs on his nose. He was closely followed by a chubby man who helped him onto the stage.

The guy went up to where the microphone was placed and kept his papers on the assembly table in front of him. He stood straight and snow felt like his eyes gazed at all of them at the same time. Making her a bit more interested in the person.

He tapped on the mic and leaned closer to speak. "Hello, my dear friends. I am Matheus Rudy, your Student council president, and also the in-charge of today's welcome ceremony. I am happy to welcome you all to the new academic year and I am glad to see all the new students who joined us this year…."

The flow of speech was broken by Colou, who was sitting beside Snow. Colou elbowed her and said, "Isn't it boring?"

"Huh? O-oh, no I don't know why I feel his speech is quite interesting..." Said Snow, even without looking away from the stage.

Colou stared at Snow and even Snow felt the chills from her gaze so she quickly added, "I-I am still new to all this so I can't possibly miss an important speech which might save me a lot of troubles."

Colou sighed and reluctantly agreed. The odd behavior of snow didn't get missed by her bunny instincts and she spotted curiosity in Snow's eyes.

"..... and we hope you will keep your classes clean and eat only at lunch. No fights in the canteen...." The speech ended and regret could be seen in the eyes of Snow while happiness danced in Colou's eyes.

Before Matheus left he said to check the class arrangements in their smart phones, the assembly ended and the students slowly started to leave. Many people stared at snow awkwardly but no one said anything.

After hearing a ting from her phone she pulled her phone out of her bag and looked at it. [Snow Starling, Section B]. Snow peeked at Colou's phone and found she will be in Section A. Even though they met not too long ago, Colou was the only person she could rely on.

She looked at Colou's face and saw that the poker face was trying hard to hide her displeasure. And it was magnified even more by her droopy ears which shouted out the word sad.

After seeing her face, she couldn't but chuckle which made Colou look at her. On seeing that the other party was looking at her ears, Colou quickly picked it up and wore her cap on top.

"So...… I guess I should go now. See you around later." After saying Colou turned around to leave. Her abrupt actions made her look as if she was in a hurry. Then suddenly the ting sound from the phone sounded again.

[Snow Starling shifted to Section A].

"Yes!" Snow was visibly happy and got glared at by Colou who asked, "Then shall we go?"

"Okay, since you seem to be in a hurry."

"Huh?"

"Nothing."

They started walking on the corridor and after few minutes they reached their class.

Snow stood in front of the door and the door slowly opened up. When she entered the class all the students stopped talking and all the eyes were on this human. Snow felt very embarrassed and tried to go behind all the seats.

But Colou beat her to the punch, she got into the class and sat on the front row, which Snow really didn't want to do.

"Can we sit in the back row?" Asked Snow who was a bit worried she might upset her new friend with her request.

"Don't worry. The teachers will pay less attention if you sit in the front row."

Snow was surprised to hear that the bunny girl understood her motives, "Ho-How did you know?"

"Bunny senses!" And she started to chuckle, "Stop asking stupid questions and sit."

"Remember to put your phone in silent mode, the teacher won't want to be interrupted." Colou reminded Snow.

She followed her advice and muted her phone. She didn't know what would be the first class, no one knew ad it was everyone's first day. Snow felt many people still staring at her so she just leaned on the desk to not make eye contact with them.

Suddenly all the chattering around her stopped, and the atmosphere got tense. Snow lifted her head and found everyone standing in attention with sweat between their brows.

Snow thought the teacher was here so she turned towards the door but saw no one. Suddenly she felt someone pulling her up with great strength, it was Colou. Snow stared at Colou but the girl just ignored her stares and stood straight.

Snow felt something was wrong but then suddenly the doors opened and in came a black cat!

The cat was the size of any regular cat but it had an elegant aura around it. Its black fur shined in the light and almost looked blue. She noticed a red symbol on the cat's forehead which looked strange.

Suddenly all the students felt very tense and few of them fell down as if a huge weight fell down on them. Unexpectedly Snow was unscathed. She felt nothing but strange about the whole situation.

She was looking around her surprised and saw Colou leaning a bit as if she could fall any moment. Snow tried to hold her hand but then she realized how heavy her hand weighed.

"This year all are so weak." The black cat spoke.

Snow was very surprised to see a cat speak, but at this stage nothing surprised her anymore.

"Seems there is one interesting one." The cat looked at Snow and its eyes glowed red.

Snow stopped breathing, she was very tense and felt like one wrong move could get her killed. But she noticed how the cat's voice seemed to be like an echo, having one light voice and one heavy voice.

Then a man entered the room, he was wearing a light red coat over a black shirt. He was about 1.78 meters (5'10") tall, and looked to be in his early 20s. His eyes were red in colour with a round specs on his nose.

When he entered all the students relieved and felt like a huge mountain was lifted from their shoulders.

"Welcome to Academy 7." The cat and the man said together, and then the cat jumped on the man and sat on his shoulders.

Snow suddenly realized that the light voice belonged to this man and got sweats.

"I am your Magic Theory Instructor, Alexander." The man said.

"Let's get along well."

Snow didn't know why but she felt the man said the last part to her.

A small smile crept on the man's face and his eyes glowed red.
