A girl could be seen on the 5th floor of Academy 7, closely followed by another with big white ears. They were slowly but steadily making their way through the dark corridor.
The tiny amount of moonlight that passed through the glass windows installed in the corridor, cast heavy shadows on the wall. Occasionally when a bird would fly by the corridor, the shadows would move. Making the girls anxious.
Suddenly they felt a presence behind them.
The girls didn't turn immediately, fearing to stare at their death. But the more courageous one slowly turned her head behind her but was stopped by a hand on her shoulder.
"C-Colou n-no." Snow said stuttering.
Colou shook her head and held her hand tightly. Then she suddenly turned around to find a pair of green eyes staring back at her from the shadows.
Snow turned around too and her legs gave away.
THUD.
Snow fell down on the floor and sat there fearing for her life. Whereas Colou extended on the wall and leaned on it.
Tick.
A small familiar sound was heard in the corridor which caught both Snow and Colou by surprise. Not because of fearing it to be some monster, no, but of what happened next.
The whole corridor lit up as Colou accidentally switched on the lights. And the pair of green eyes appeared to be the cat of their teacher Alexander.
The cat left the corridor after the lights were on, maybe because the lights caught it by surprise too or was a bit blinding after the darkness.
Both the girls felt highly embarrassed.
Colou lifted Snow who was also a tomato.
"I will kill whichever fucker turned the lights off! They will wish they were put together with a ghost instead!" Snow said, followed by a series of curses.
Colou shook her head and covered her face with her palm.
In a different room...
Alexander was slowly sipping his tea when suddenly his eyes glowed green.
PPPFFFFTTTTT.
He spitted the tea out of his mouth and started laughing hard.
"Oh my god! Hahahaha!" He couldn't stop laughing after seeing the scene he saw.
"Good job Rev! I am giving you extra meat tonight," Alexander said while still laughing.
'I want chocolate too.' A voice said in his head.
"Haha, Ok! It's said cats can't taste sweet, but we sure are one hell of an anomaly haha." Alexander said while cleaning everywhere he spitted the tea with a spell.
"Let's see they should be here very soon judging from their location." He said while taking another sip.
There were already a few students in the room beside him where he said them to wait for him. Apparently, Snow and Colou were the last to come.
Alexander left the chair he was sitting on. He looked around to find a pen which was kept over the table and then walked into the other room.
He entered and looked at everyone while his eyes were flashing red.
'Looks like my deduction was right.'
He looked at them sternly and started. "Say me your problems one by one and I will try to help you."
Few people were afraid of that stern expression and didn't say anything. Then gradually a timid looking boy gathered his courage and raised his hand.
"Yes?" Alexander said. It sounded a bit threatening but as the guy's hand was already up he was afraid he would be more punished if he just kept quite.
"S-sir." The boy stuttered. "I-I am having problem in performing m-magic properly."
Alexander heard it and asked him to explain more. The boy gained a slight confidence and started explaining.
"Often times my magic would go wrong while casting. If I chant to make water move forward it would come out of the container, if I try to...."
Alexander clicked his tongue as if he was annoyed. Which made the boy stop in his track. He lowered his head in shame. He knew there were many others who were better in magic than he was and he might be the lowest among all the students.
But when today Alexander said he will clear their doubts this boy got a slight hope. It was said every instructor in the Academy was a genius in their respective field. Getting taught by a genius was something he was looking forward to, but now he was really sad.
Seeing how he was treated some of the people got pale faced. Most of the people here were this type who had problems in their basics. As they were from poor background so they didn't receive much guidance in this field.
"How many of you have the same problem as his, or any problem in your basics."
No one moved.
"If you don't even have the guts to stand up when I ask you to then you are free to leave right now."
At this moment Snow and Colou entered and slowly sat on the back seat. They didn't want to bother the class, but to their surprise everyone was very quite and when they entered everyone was looking at them.
Snow whispered, "Wait what is happening.....?"
Then one girl stood up from her seat, it was the pink haired girl in the previous class.
Alexander didn't say anything and nodded at her.
Seeing him nod few choose to stand too. And the other few still tense.
"Those who didn't leave yet, I assume you have no problems with the basics so give me the questions you want to ask and I will give the answers to you in your mail."
Now snow and Colou understood what it was about.
"Those who r standing, please stay, I want to talk with you guys."
Quickly many people left and only a handful stayed.
Seeing Snow and Colou still sitting Alexander turned around them.
"How may I help you two?" It still sounded like a threat.
"U-um sir, I am new to everything and didn't haad any prior knowledge about this world in general and magic in particular." Snow said before Colou could open her mouth.
"If you want to know more about your own planet I suggest you find a geography teacher and not me." Alexander replied.
"Wait you mean we are on earth?" Snow asked, making her look more stupid.
"Yes my dear, as for the second problem, you stay here."
He then turned at Colou, "And you?"
"I-I am just tagging along, if its ok with you...." She replied.
"Its ok to stay but don't interrupt the class."
The pink haired girl just realized something from this sentence, 'Wait, he just said not to interrupt the class. That means he will really take a class!'
"You realized right little girl." Alexander's voice was heard behind her as a hand tapped her shoulders.
"Welcome to my domain." A voice echoed in everyone's head and the class slowly started to change into an open field.
"My night class." Alexander said, smiling at their shocked faces.
