Necessity

After living the ordeal of life due to the busy schedule that Eric had made and Casey had been doing for the past two months, now she is almost at her last point.

The final is tomorrow.

She will take the entrance test at Eric's campus, one of the best colleges in America.

Don't ask Casey how she's preparing for tomorrow, because she's really very confident even now. Even though she always cursed in her heart, she already memorized and understood the materials that were in there. It was as if she had boiled the book and then drank the boiled water because it was so memorized.

The laptop that Eric always lent Casey to learn about design, the girl had studied everything steadily. She did not expect that she would be this smart in just two months.

Oh no! If it's like this, Casey might become the best student on campus later!

Casey started imagining fun.

"Hey, what are you thinking about? Your face is terrible, Gwen," Asylin scolded, which immediately brought Casey out of her thoughts. Suddenly, Casey's cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

"N-nothing! I just ...." Casey looked for a reasonable excuse, while Asylin waited for Casey to finish her sentence.

On the other hand, Rolan, a loyal guard of the Wilson family, walked up to the two maids. It was rare because Rolan was by Noel's side most of the time, and the man was supposed to be in his company office. Considering that it is still midday, it is not time for Noel to go home from work.

"Gwen," Rolan called, making all eyes in the room turn their attention to the middle-aged man.

"Eh? Rolan, Is there anything left behind from Master Noel's items or documents?" asked Asylin politely.

Rolan shook his head with a faint smile. "Not at all, Asylin. I want to convey a message from Master Noel to Gwen," he replied. Asylin nodded her head in understanding, then she excused herself from gathering with the other maids to let Rolan and Gwen have an important conversation.

Gwen looked at Rolan questioningly as she remembered the scene she would experience in the future. To be honest, Casey only remembers the big events in this game, and if she keeps forcing herself to remember all the scenes here, for some reason, her head hurts so badly that it feels like it shouldn't be done.

Rolan handed him a thin card, which Casey immediately knew was an ATM card. "Master Noel told me to give you this, you can buy a laptop and other necessities in preparation for your college later," Rolan explained.

Casey just blinked a few times, still not understanding what was going on. Moreover, the flat card is black, which is none other than a black card. An exclusive high-end card! Even her parents, who worked so hard, didn't have this card yet! And Noel gave it away for free, just for the maid!

"Gwen?" called Rolan, because there was no response.

Casey immediately interrupted his thoughts and forced a smile. "I feel bad ...."

"Why do you feel bad?" asked Rolan, in surprise.

"Because I have gotten a lot of good facilities, even Master Eric teaches me."

Rolan chuckled softly. "This family is used to doing things like that, Gwen. They don't hesitate to facilitate their workers. You could also call it a reward for doing a good job."

"Ah, does that mean the other workers previously continued their education just like me?" Casey asked.

"A few exceptions for you. You gain more advantages because later you can help the masters outside in my stead."

"Where are you going? Why should I replace you, Sir?" Casey asked endlessly. Her face was now a little worried because she heard the words of the man in front of her.

"It's not like that, I've been by Noel's side most of the time, and I'm not young anymore. My performance isn't as good as before. And also ...." Rolan hung up on his words. He looked at Casey, who was now also looking at him with round, clear brown eyes.

Rolan cleared his throat, not intending to finish his words earlier. "Yes, that's basically it. Now take it, you need to buy a lot of supplies for college," he said as he held the card closer.

Casey finally took the card, although he was a little hesitant. "Does it have to be today, Sir? My work isn't done yet."

"Yeah, isn't tomorrow the day of your entrance exam? For today's work, Master Noel said there's no need to worry about it. I will ask Asylin's permission.

"Rolan? How come you're back home?

Casey and Rolan turned to the source of the voice. It turns out it was Eric. The man in a short black t-shirt with a picture - Casey doesn't know what picture it is, but he still looks cool, then the ripped jeans on both knees give the impression that the person wearing this style of dress looks like a naughty man who likes to fight, plus a chain necklace that adorns Eric's neck.

Seriously, what Eric wears never fails. Always alluring.

Rolan bowed slightly in response to Eric's greeting. "I just want to give this from Master Noel to pay for Gwen's needs later in college," said Rolan while showing the black card.

Eric walked over to the two of them. "Noel didn't tell me this at all."

"Then I will confirm it with Master Noel first." Rolan fished his cell phone out of his pocket, intending to call Noel.

"Ah, no need! Let me ask that later. I'll take this, I'll be responsible for Gwen's problems with her lectures." Eric took over the black card while smiling sweetly.

"But Master—"

"Come on~ Leave it to me! I'll accompany Gwen to buy a laptop and other items. Later I will tell Noel," Eric said, his trademark smile not yet gone from his handsome face. "Now you can go back to my brother's place, okay okay?" Eric led Rolan's path from behind like a child playing with a train.

"Bye bye! Be careful on the road!" Eric exclaimed as he waved his hand at the departing Rolan.

Casey quietly grabbed her broom again, but Eric stopped her. The girl was surprised and now their faces are so close especially Eric smiled so sweetly as he grabbed the broom and placed it anywhere.

"This is not the time to go back to work, Gwen," said Eric.

"B—but, I have to—"

"Asylin! Call Eric.

"Yes, Master?" Asylin replied, who wasn't that far from where they were, the girl walked a little faster towards Eric.

"I'll borrow Gwen for a moment, okay? She has to prepare for her exam tomorrow," Eric asked. Dunno since when his hand had been holding Casey's arm so tightly that once in a while his thumb stroked the girl's arm gently. Don't ask Casey's heart condition right now, it could explode at any moment because of Eric's sweet treatment.

Asyl nodded. "Go ahead, Master."

"Okay! Come on, Gwen! We have to hurry!" Eric exclaimed as he pulled Casey up for a quick walk.
