Kind man

After five minutes, Erica came to the library and looked for Casey's sitting position and found her in the corner of the room with a man. Casey looked back and waved at Erica.

Erica smiled as she walked closer. "Have you been here long?" asked Erica while sitting next to Casey.

"Pretty long," Casey replied. She could see Alan, who kept stealing glances at her friend. Erica now turned to look at the bespectacled man. "Ah, hi, Alan! Are you reading a book together? I didn't know you were close," she said as she covered her mouth gracefully.

"No, it's not like that. I fought over the book with him. So waiting for his turn," Casey replied, completely correctly.

"I told you the day after tomorrow. You're stubborn."

"... shut up."

"Ahaha, you guys are close, huh? So what book are you guys fighting over?" asked Erica kindly. Alan raised his book to show Erica. The girl just nodded and formed a mouth like the letter O a sign of understanding.

"And I'm not close to her," Alan argued, making four angles appear on Casey's forehead, annoyed. That doesn't need to be said clearly, right? Why had she always been arguing with Alan?

"Gwen, have you eaten? I brought some food for you, because since yesterday you only ate a little." Erica handed Casey the bag filled with food. Of course, Casey gladly accepted. It didn't matter that this gift was just an image, the important thing was that her stomach was no longer forced to growl with hunger.

"Thank you, Erica! You really are my best friend!" complimented Casey. Immediately devour the hotdog.

"Hey, you can't eat in the library," said Alan, a little sarcastically.

"It's the farthest place, people won't see it. So it should be fine," Casey retorted nonchalantly. Meanwhile, Erica just smiled knowingly. The beautiful girl thrust a sandwich in front of Alan. The man furrowed his brow in confusion. He looked at Erica, who was now smiling sweetly at him.

"Eat your meal."

"Oh, there's no need—"

"It's not good to reject people's kindness," Casey said sarcastically. It seems that Alan doesn't really fit the type of person like Casey. Finally, Alan relented and accepted the sandwich.

Don't know since when, Erica and Alan have been talking casually, and even Casey is just like a pile of expired meat, so invisible and ignored. Every now and then, the man laughed softly in response to the beautiful girl. It seemed that it was true that Alan liked Erica.

What Casey caught from listening to their conversation was that they had only just started knowing each other in college, but it sounded like they'd known each other longer than that. During the campus introduction day, Casey also sometimes saw that they were often in the same group. Therefore, apart from Erica being considered compatible with Eric, the girl was also considered compatible with Alan.

Hah ... very lucky if you have a beautiful face.

Casey wanted to scream that they matched so well that Erica didn't need to be obsessed with Eric. Because Eric only belongs to him.

It seems that if Casey leaves them suddenly, they will not realize it because they are too busy talking. Casey got up from her seat, she didn't need to be here anymore, because her plan was just to get them close. But it seems that even without any help from her, Alan and Erica are already quite close. Casey felt lousy, like she was wasting her time. "I have to go, see you."

"Uh, where are you going?" asked Erica.

"To class. You will catch up."

"No, I'm going with you." Erica stood up and put her arm around Casey's arm. Ah, Casey feels so guilty for making them separate. Alan must be feeling sad even though it can't be seen from his flat face.

"You'll still be here, Alan?" asked Erica.

"Yes, my class is still long," he replied as he went back to reading the book.

"Then let's go first. See you later!" Erica said goodbye before she and Casey left the library.

On the way to class, no one spoke. Busy with their own thoughts. Casey hoped that Alan could actually help and get Erica to choose him.

"Gwen," Erica called.

"Yes?"

"Why did you get to be with Alan?" asked Erica. Casey frowned, didn't she explain earlier? Why is Erica still asking again?

"Didn't I say that earlier?"

"You guys seem close to someone you just met," Erica said with a fake smile. Casey didn't know what the girl's smile was hiding, but she could tell that Erica didn't like her interaction with Alan.

Casey looked up at the bright blue sky in thought. "Hmm, not close. More precisely, I don't feel right for him," Casey said, making Erica laugh out loud.

"If that, of course doesn't match, ahaha!"

Four right angles in large numbers suddenly appeared on Casey's forehead. What does that girl mean? Was Erica mocking her? For some reason, Casey was annoyed to hear the girl's response. Sometimes she puts other people down with that innocent yet friendly look.

"Oh, yeah. Gwen, don't forget to tell Eric what we've been planning, okay?" she reminded. Casey just nodded lazily.

As usual at night, Casey was in the library with Eric. The man was busy with tasks and organizational meetings at the same time. Casey felt proud to be able to look at the man all the time compared to the other girls who liked him. Feeling constantly watched, Eric glanced at Casey. The girl immediately looked away awkwardly.

"What's the matter, Gwen? Anything you want to ask?" asked Eric. Don't forget the special smile on his face.

Casey shook her head slowly. She didn't dare look Eric in the eye directly. "I—is your work still long?"

"Maybe, what's wrong?"

"Oh ... then I'll talk about it later." Casey gasped in shock as Eric shifted her chair towards the girl quickly.

"Right now, So, what's up?" said Eric. He is the type of person who, when he is curious, must immediately get the answer. Casey sighed, yielding to her master.

"I just wanted to ask you to study together," Casey said, making Eric raise an eyebrow.

"Haven't we done it many times before?"

Casey shook her head. "Not just the two of us."

"Who with?"

"Hmm, Erica, maybe?"

"Why all of a sudden?" asked Eric again.

Casey looked at him sadly and pursed her lips. "You don't want it? Doesn't want to help his Junior?"

"I—it's not like that, I was just shocked...."

"Ah, you've been so busy, I couldn't have bothered you any more. Sorry, forget it," Casey said, forcing a smile. At this rate, Casey could tell Erica that Eric had turned down the invitation because his schedule was already very busy. Even if it's just like this, it doesn't immediately dampen the spirit of the beautiful girl.

Casey was surprised when Eric pinched her cheeks. The man's look was annoyed. "Hey, don't make me feel guilty. I haven't given a definite answer yet."

"S—sorry, Eric. It hurts, let me go ..." Casey groaned as she patted Eric's hand to let her go. Out of compassion, Eric finally let go of the pinch. As a result, Casey's smooth cheeks turned red but instead looked adorable.

"If that's all, of course I can. Just tell me a place and a time, and I'll help you both." Eric smiled broadly, showing a row of neat teeth.

Ah, Eric of course will not refuse. The man is kind.
