Onward

Alex was really grateful to the king. He didn't discriminate because he was a human nor send women to his door because he was a great talent, both things that had happened in the past.

Though... women stopped being sent soon after as they had a tendency to disappear if they even considered offering themselves to him.

Alex had not thought much of it at the time, but he knew the reasons now of their disappearances. He didn't want to think of how many had lost their lives before everyone else caught on of that trend.

Anyways, Alex spent a little while longer in that kingdom. His only companion was the crow who just stared at him and the statue of the kitsune goddess who Alex found himself attracted too, but Alex stayed a few more days. He wanted to rest before journeying. During this time, he also hunted some low level spirit beasts that allowed him to become a ninth level GM. He didn't want to be noticed as a great talent because he was still 8th level, though people would probably know he had recently ascended due to him being so low into the 9th level. He would have to change that quickly.

Fortunately, Alex cultivated at an insane speed and it wouldn't be too long.

Alex visited the statue in his free time, trained a bit, and slept some. Alex was a really deep sleeper and he liked to sleep often, if only to keep his mind refreshed.

Like that, Alex was now ready to set off.

"I'm not sure why I am doing this, but thank you."

Having already thanked the king, Alex returned to the statue of the kitsune, who he had decided to thank and say goodbye too.

"I'm off."

Alex smiled. Today was a really good day. There was a lot to be done and a lot to be explored.

The crow looked at him, her eyes gleaming. She was only getting more and more greedy. She had started wanting to perch on his shoulder, though she stopped herself each time that desire crossed her mind, and she still couldn't look him in the eyes.

The statue trembled again, as if pained to see him go. However, the trembling stopped as he vanished. A decision was made and someone in the Ninth Heaven began to move... she wasn't the first person to move from the Ninth Heaven because of a certain someone and she certainly wouldn't be the last.

Such was the power of Alex's eyes. A fleeting glance might have just made someone slightly interested, but Alex returning during those days had taken their toll on one very old, very vuluptious, and very beautiful fox.

As Alex set off, the world changed yet again.
