Let's Get to Work

"We thank you very much, dear," Mrs Tai nodded and smiled.

"Yes," Ren's father agreed, "Thank you very much for the gifts. We are more than happy to have you since you have brought such a great business proposal which will assist us greatly."

Wen smiled, "Please enjoy the gifts."

"Thank you," Mrs Tai smiled, "Now then, let's sit down and eat. You both must be starving."

They sat around the dining table. Ren and Wen sat beside each other while his parents sat opposite them. Wen grabbed a spoon after setting the bowl of congee in front of her.

She added some savoury ingredients to her congee and started eating. Ren grabbed some dumplings and stuffed buns. His father enjoyed noodles and fried eggs, while his mother ate congee with various sweet ingredients.
