A RUDE WELCOME

The ride on the wagon is very slow and bumpy. I am sure there are better wagons available but this is what we could get our hands on. I look over my shoulder at the back of the wagon. It is completely empty.

"Brent, is it not suspicious that we have nothing on our wagon?" I ask Brent after a while.

Brent seems to think about this for a bit before he answers.

"I guess even if we were going to town to buy supplies, we would have some kind of crate or barrel on the wagon. It may look suspicious." Brent says a bit later.

I look at my watch. It is late afternoon. I wonder how far we still need to go. Before I could ask Brent, he answers me.

"We should arrive at the other town before the sun sets." He says calmly.

I smile sideways at him. He knows my thoughts so well.
