Vision

** David's POV **

I headed out the door as soon as Faris said I would need sentimental objects. I wanted Abigail to come with me, but he said she was needed to make other preparations. I am really grateful that my parents are here with me, though.

I pulled the ladder door to the attic down and began to climb. I found the light switch, not that it made much difference. I looked to the back, far right corner. I knew it was the box I needed, but I also knew how hard it would be to look through it.

As I neared the corner, I could see the thick layer of dust that covered it. My parents had packed it up about eight years ago. When I finally moved out of the house, Elizabeth and I shared. I couldn't handle the process of going through her things, but I trusted my mother. Most of the clothing she had donated, but this box held all our important memories from the entirety of our relationship.
