CH.25 Ares The Angry God

It's been a day since Percy's great dive and the train has brought us to Denver and I have to say that I am not enjoying this quest so far, I haven't been able to steal any food because either I don't have a chance or when I do theirs already food, so I forget.

"let's try to contact Chiron, I want to tell him about your talk with the river spirit," Annabeth said to Percy.

When Percy was in the river there was a river spirit that gave him tree pearls for him to use to get out of the underworld. It was not needed but I didn't tell him that, the guy had been on cloud nine since his fight with the chimera.

"We can't use phones right," Percy said.

"I'm not talking about phones," Annabeth said.

I and Percy did not know what exactly Annabeth was looking for but after walking for about half an hour we found a do-it-yourself carwash.

"What exactly are we doing," Percy asked the question I had on my mind.

Grover took out a spray gun "it's seventy-five cents, I've only got two quarters left, Annabeth?" he said.

"don't look at me, the dining car wiped me out," she said causing Percy to fish out the last bit of change he had and give it to Grover.

"Excellent, we could do it with a spray bottle, but the connection isn't as good and my arms get tired of pumping," Grover said.

"What are you talking about, "Percy asked.

"I-mining" Grover said as he fed the quarters.

"And that is," I asked.

"Iris-messaging, the rainbow goddess iris carries a message for the gods if you know how to ask and she's not too busy shell do the same for half-bloods," Annabeth said.

"that's nice of her," I said.

"You summon a goddess with a spray gun," Percy said.

"Unless you know an easier way to make a rainbow," Grover said and pointed the nozzle in the air causing water to hiss out in a thick white mist.

Soon a rainbow forms from the mist in an array of colors.

"o goddess accepts our offering," Annabeth said and raised a drachma above her head and threw the drachma inside making it disappear into the rainbow after shimmering.

"half-blood hill," she said.

For a moment nothing happened then we were looking through the mist and what appeared was the strawberry fields and long island sound in the distance. The image seemed to be in the big house and who so happens to be there but like.

"Luke!" Percy yelled.

"Percy!" Luke yelled after seeing Percy.

"Is Annabeth okay too, that the gods! Are you guys okay" Luke asked sounding worried and happy?

"we're fine," Annabeth said while stammering.

"Annabeth and Luke sitting on tree k-i-s-s-i-n-g," I said loud enough for her to hear which made her glare at me.

"We thought- Chiron- I mean- "Annabeth was trying desperately to say.

"he's down by the cabins" his smile faded after he said that "we're having some issues with the camper's listen is everything cool with you? Is Grover alright?" he asked.

"I'm right here, and what kind of issues," Grover said.

Just then a big Lincoln was continually pulled into the car wash with its stereo turned to the maximum, the car just happened to be right next to us.

"Chiron had to- what's that noise?" Luke yelled.

"I'll take care of it, Grover Adrian come on," Annabeth said.

"What but- "Grover said/

"Give Percy the nozzle and come on," she said making rover mutter and give Percy the nozzle.

After a few minutes, Grover and Annabeth came back laughing, the person who was playing the music did not want to turn it off and was an overall douche but got karma because he fell as soon as he got out of his car and got sprayed with water.

They stopped when they saw Percy's face "what happened, what did Luke want to say," she asked worriedly.

"Not much, come on let's find some dinner," Percy said, and we started walking again, note to self-upgrade my car so I never had to walk this much again.

We soon arrived at dinner and got into both, "well" the waitress said looking bored.

"We um want to order dinner," Percy said.

"you kids got money to pay for it?" she asked.

"No but I'm loved I wouldn't mind sharing dinner with you," I said making her recognize my presence and like a switch, she blushed and her whole-body language changed.

She was about to say something until we heard a rumble and one of the biggest motorcycles I have ever seen pulled into the driveway, the man on it had a leather jacket that looked like human skin.

He had the cruelest, most brutal, and somehow handsome face I have seen.

'that's got to be a god' I thought.

When he came in energy seemed to try to invade me, but I blocked it seemed it affected the rest of everybody making a rise from their seats, but they sat down after he wavers his hands.

"you kids got money to pay for it," the waitress said like it was the first time she said it.

"it's on me," the man said as he slid into our booths.

The biker looked at Percy who by now was starting to look pissed and then he looked at me and stopped. I looked at him but more of his eyes behind his red shades, they gave me a feeling of anger, it tried to infect me, control me, but I have known anger I have known emotions and I know when someone trying to use you, so I didn't let the anger control me I threw it away as I did not need it.

That seemed too pissed off the man for some reason or maybe I should say Ares god of war one of the angriest gods ever.

"So, your death breaths kid," he said looking at me.

"And you're Ares," I said.
