Chapter 29: Armoured Camel's Meat!

After more than an hour of walking, i can finally see the outer village and small towns of colos city!

The colos city is divided into 3 main part. One is outer sections which is outside of the the colos cities surrounded by a big walls. Other part is inside of the wall fortifications.

Last but not least there are another layer of walls inside the middle of the city. Inside there Colos noble family lives .

Total area of current colos city is about 95 square kilometers. Outer part of the colos city is full of slums and low level shops and taverns . Security is very bad there. All kind of gangs are very active in these parts.You can hear gang fight, beasts attack, murder, thief, robbery there all the time There.

Aetius looked at these slums from a distance and shook his head. He was thinking if he can live here because it will be very cheaper than the internal city.But looking at these ugly and dirty slums, he rejected the notion.

The security is very poor in these places so it is not ideal for me to live here.

Aetius was hungry so he was thinking to eat something cheap, but looking this slum, he lost his appetite and decided to go to eat at the main city. In front of the city gate, there are a lot of people going in and out. There are 4 big gates in the four direction of this city. I am now at the south side of the city.

Every gate has 3 ways . One for common people who are carrying things in their hands or on their backs or simply empty handed . They don't need to pay anything. Another one for merchants and carriages, who enters with a lot of goods with them. They need to pay city entrance toll.The last way is reserved for the nobles to easily go in and out.

It is now around 12 pm. The common people's entrance now full of people.I tightly griped my left pants pocket with my left hand and approached the busy city gate. You never when you will pass by a busy place and you will suddenly realize that you lost your things from your pockets!

Aetius thought of storing the 2 spatial bags in his system space but he failed.Like most other spatial storages, you can't store a space magic item inside another one.

The common people's gate is not monitored by the guards, so it is a bit chaotic here.

After successfully passing the gate,i checked my pockets. Both the spatial bags are safe. I am finally back in my hometown. Now i can finally have some peace of mind!

I first entered in a good looking restaurant and ordered to show me their menu of magic beasts meat.

After looking, I decided to order magic beasts armoured camel's meat.1 plate full of armoured camel's meat will cost me 10 gold coins.If it were school,the same thing will cost me 30 gold coins.

Armoured camels meat is very famous in this city. Different magic beasts meat has different kind of effect on ordinary mortal People. Armoured camel's meat can heal muscle pain and helps to improve your sleep quality.

While they are cooking my magic beast's meat, i looked around this restaurant. This is a very luxurious restaurant. So there are very few rich people around.So there are less chances to hear about the current news for free.

Looks like i have to book a room in a busy tevern where many people gatherers and gossips. That way i can learn a lot of information at free of cost.

Information flow in this medieval style world is very backward and poor. To receive information of your own interests, you have to pay according to that informations value and secrecy.

While i was trying to hear other peoples talks. The waiter brought my cooked magic beasts meat.

The moment he removed the lid, a rich aroma spread around. This very fragrant meat i ever smelled. I started to feel a little energized just by taking smells of this.

Not only me, the surrounding peoples also stared at my direction.

"Look at that kid, he is now eating a delicious magic beasts meat!"

"Looking at his clothes, he seem to be a first son of a very rich man.It has been a long time since i last ate a magic beasts meat."

"Dear husband, please order a plate of that meat too. "

"Honey we are a little short this month, i promise you that i will let you eat magic meat next month. "

"Hmph, don't you dare sleep with me tonight! "

Ignoring others comments and remarks, i was busy enjoying this special food.I never ever ate anything so delicious in my 2 lives combined.

In my past life, before becoming sick, I travelled dozens of famous cities across europe and ate a lot of different types of foods. But none of them taste so good like this one!

This magic beasts meat is cooked by skilled mortal chiefs. I know there are some rare magi path related to cooking! It is said that their cooked foods are the best food you ever eat. I wonder how this meat would have become , if they cooked it for me?

Shaking my head about these nonsense notions, i started to enjoy my food.

The moment i take a small bit,It melt in my tongue as if chocolate.All the stiffness i had in my left shoulder started to go away.

After finishing the plate, i realized that i am now full. So i got up from my tables,paid 10 gold coins and left.

After a quality meal, i am now full of energy. I decided not to go to school to sleep.

I don't like to wait in lines to go to washrooms. And it also make me angry, if someone keep knocking on the door while i am taking a shower or answering to the natures call in the toilet.

I have more than 20 k gold coins with me, so i will use them to book a hotel in this city and plan my future goals.
