Reconciliation Attempts?

"What happened afterwards? Did you stay home?"

"I was in foster care till I reached 18. I had lost hope in the family setup, but the one I was in was very good. We're still in touch. They took care of me and were it not for them, and I would have been six feet deep. The system does work," Bill said.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that," Arnold said sympathetically.

"Don't be, and it's not your fault. When can I see my so-called mother?" Bill asked out of the blues.

"See her? No, don't. You will have a relapse. She isn't worth it," Carina said in a final voice.

"I can take care of myself. I want to see her," Bill insisted. "I want the closure I have wanted all these ars,"

"How do you want to go about it?" Arnold asked cautiously. Bill was an adult, and it was almost impossible to make him change his mind.
