"Phewks," Val said, falling on the chair in her house after a hectic day.  She was almost dozing off, except Monique went to wake her up.

"I'm so damn tired.  This case is taking up my life. I swear after it's all done, I will go for a vacation to treat myself. Don't I deserve it?" Val asked dreamily.

She could already picture herself on the beach, in a bikini having the time of her life.

"I got a teaching job here. I'm thinking of taking it because my contract where I initially taught was about to expire," Monique said, and Val sat straight up.

"Wait. What? Have you been looking for a job here? Why didn't you tell me?"

" When are you starting? Where are you teaching?" Val asked in excitement.
