LILY'S POV
I opened my eyes to see myself lying on a huge bed. I looked around and discovered I was in a well decorated beautiful room.
I tried to think of where I am and then it hit me.
Danny.
Yes, I remembered the guy I met earlier and the nurse he brought to me. The memories started to pour in as everything started to become clear in my head.
He said his name was Danny and he even told me he was werewolf too and I had nothing to fear about.
I noticed I was now changed into clothes and not the blanket I was into before Danny brought me in.
"Oh my god!" I covered my mouth with my palm as I imagined myself being dressed up by Danny.
Gosh, thinking about it alone was embarrassing enough.
"Asssh! What have I done? I shouldn't have fallen asleep…" I said in regret hoping his sister had changed me instead of him.
The room smelled so lovely that I wished I wouldn't leave it but I knew better than to hope for that.
Slowly, I sat up from the bed as I thought of what to do with my life. I already ran away from home and can't return there. Who knows, Liam and Helen, including my father, are waiting to have my head on a plate if I ever go back.
I needed to find my path and way. I have nowhere in mind and worse, I knew no one.
Going to a faraway land where no one knows me remain the best decision for me.
My wound was completely healed and j felt a little strong although I still felt some pain in my body from the torture I passed through in Liam's dungeon.
My Special werewolf powers did enough to heal me to the level I am. I could see the portraits of Danny hung on the wall alongside a girl and a boy and a group photo of something I figured out to be his family picture.
They all looked happy, it got me wishing and thinking if my own was so different that I can't be happy like others.
I took a deep breath as I got down from the bed and started to make my way out of the gigantic room.
I gently opened the door to avoid it making a creaking sound. I hoped to see Danny outside and thank him for his hospitality before leaving.
I climbed down the stairs and was met with a large sitting room. A large television was hung on the wall and there were nice sofas and chairs.
Danny was sitting on one of the chairs with a book in his hands.
"Errrr…" I cleared my throat on getting down to get his attention. Danny turned the moment he heard my voice, "Hey, you up already?" He asked as he closed the book he was holding.
"Errm, yes. I would like to thank you for saving me and also letting me into your house… I think I should find my way now...thanks a whole lot" I thanked Danny and was about to start walking out of the house when Danny stopped me.
"Where do you stay? I could ride you back home," Danny offered standing up.
"Uhh...no don't worry about that...I mean I can get home myself...hehehe, not that hard…" I said nervously and forced a smile at Danny.
Danny squinted his eyes in disbelief. He knew Lily was hiding something which he couldn't say.
"I insist… Besides I don't even know your name,"
I turned to face him once she heard Danny say he insisted he dropped her off. I was lost on what to say. I didn't want to reveal my story to him but Danny was being too stubborn.
"I said you shouldn't worry…"
"It's my worry… Come on let's go," Danny said and started to head out leaving me confused on the spot.
"Wait!" I called him back.
Danny stopped and turned to face me.
I was mute, I didn't know how to say what was on my mind as I just stood there pinching and twisting my fingers over and again and avoiding Danny's eyes.
Danny gave me a quizzical look urging me to go on with what I wanted to say.
"I'm waiting…"
"Ermm, I mean I don't want you ruining your car...yeah, the road is too bad you know and the underside of your car can…"
"Thanks for caring for my car but my car actually isn't complaining so let's go."
Danny wouldn't give in to my tactics as he was insisting he dropped me off no matter what excuses I came up with.
"Okay, the truth is...I don't have a home, I mean I ran away from home and can't go back…" I explained bending my head as tears gathered in my eyes.
Danny's heart immediately softened the moment he heard my story.
"Why? What happened? I mean why can't you come back?" He asked as he led me to a seat.
I wondered if I should tell him the truth about everything or just hide It from him. I can't possibly tell him my mate rejected me, he would hate me like everyone else has done at home. I couldn't take such a risk as I decided to lie to him after all we are most likely never going to see each other again.
"I...I got…" I stuttered as the lie refused to come out of my mouth.
Danny waited patiently for me to speak on her own accord but it was as if I wasn't ready to speak up. He decided to let me be for the moment and maybe ask again after I must have calmed down.
"It's okay if you don't want to talk about it now, okay? Hungry?" Danny asked.
I nodded a no, but that moment, my stomach rumbled giving me away as I said I wasn't hungry.
"Uh, your stomach says otherwise," Danny laughed. "I will get you something now, what do you want to eat?"
"Anything." I replied without thinking.
"Anything?" Danny asked a bit surprised but I nodded yes again.
He let out a light chuckle and then left me to go prepare something for me to eat while I waited in the sitting room hoping I hadn't made a mistake.
