Kylian could tell it as broad daylight something was amiss, but Thoros had chosen Chepi as his guide so there must be some reason.

"Destructive magic." Kylian did not have to mull over the thought long, an image of burnt boulder came to his head "If you mean battle mages, using fireballs. Then yes."Kylian replied.

He still felt extreme hatred towards Cenetaur Tremeur, but he was in a better grasp of his emotions now.

Like earlier, he wouldn't just mad rush at the man to take revenge without forming a proper plan.

"Yes, he must have an affinity of fire. It is the most common to have fire as the primary affinity. So, just like he used fire, you can use ice to attack." She spoke, " And every time you level up, not only your overall strength will increase, but also the control over your affinity and the size mana pool ."

"What is mana pool ?" he asked immediately, it sounded important.

"To use your affinity or any kind of magic, you need to use mana. I cannot emphasize on really how important it is." Chepi sighed "Have you read the light novel 'Infinite Mana In the Apocalypse', we wouldn't be having such a conversation."

"What are these light novels you keep mentioning ?" Well this was the second time the term Light novels was being mentioned, "Can I read some ?" Kylian asked

"These are fiction books, but they are pretty much accurate, mostly. Sadly, it would be really difficult for you to find them now."

"Why ? Are they rare ?"

"No the habitats of planet Earth that used to make them are destroyed." clenching her fist Chepi continued "Fools fought among themselves for pieces of land, and now no one left to use that land. Let's not talk about Earth." Chapi spoke.

She scratched her head trying to recall where she was "Yes! Mana," she spoke with her cheerfulness returning back to normal "Can you feel an energy flowing inside of you ?"

'So this is mana' Kylian nodded, he had been feeling a kind of cool and soothing breeze inside himself.

Chepi further explained. "If you focus, you could even concentrate this mana to a spot according to your wish."

Kylian immediately did as she said, he opened up his palm and tried directing the energy towards his palm. In the next second, he could feel the mana from all over his body flowing towards his open palm.

"Good" Chepi clapped excitedly "Your control over the mana is pretty good for a beginner. MAster is great to have such a son."

"Now if you focus enough on your liver, you could feel that it is the source of your mana " She spoke "You could even see how much mana reserve you have."

Kylian tried focusing and he feel all the mana strands meeting at his liver. But he could find no reserve in there. Kylian voiced his concern

"Chepi. I cannot feel any mana reserve."

"It is not possible," she spoke and flew towards Kylian arm touching it "let me check."

"I could feel your reserves.... Pretty average," she replied once she had checked. "Try again"

Kylian checked again, but he could find no reserves.

"That is not possible, try closing your eyes, you must not be focusing enough." She spoke, but Chepi was herself unsure, how could Kylian who could easily concentrate mana to a spot not have enough focus.

As soon as Kylian closed his eyes he found his reserves "Yes...I see it...now." Kylian spoke with a weak smile, his breathing had gone erratic.

Chepi looked at Kylian's erratic breathing, she was puzzled. This process was not something that should have been taxing to the body, on the contrary, it should have been relaxing.

Kylian opened his eyes soon after, and after taking a long breath he spoke, with a weak smile "I did not think it would be so exhausting." even though exhausted, he was happy to discover something new.

"Exhausting? What did you see ?"

"I was floating, and beneath me, I could see a small blue colored pool." seeing Chepi's shocked expression, he could tell that was not she was expecting "That was mana, right ?" he added.

"But...why ?" she floated right in front of Kylian's face, he could even see a furrow on her forehead, from this close.

"What ? Is something wrong ?" Kylian asked immediately.

Chepi thought for a moment and then spoke in complete urgency

"Kylain try to expand that mana pool by focusing on its boundaries, and tell me if you see even a tiny bit of change."

Seeing how serious she sounded, Kylian nodded and closed his eyes again.

Once again, he was floating, and several meters beneath him was a small pool of blue energy. Kylian did as Chepi had said, but the pool remained unchanged.

Kylian then tried floating towards the mana pool but was instantly forced to leave.

"Nothing happened," Kylian by now was profusely sweating "I even tried going towards the mana pool, but was pushed out from that space."

Chepi sighed in relief "Things would have been really complicated if you had succeeded."

"Why ?" Kylian couldn't make out any of it.

Chepi cleared her throat, for a long explanation, " As you have been made aware, different species take different paths to gain strength which is called cultivation. There are mainly two techniques of cultivation. One is through consumption of soul energy whereas the other basic is absorbing mana from the environment and............." Chepi then took a long breath "So you understood everything ?"

Kylian nodded, Even though Chepi went on and on and on but Kylian listened to each and every information with rapt attention, especially when she explained the existence of different power beings which could even destroy their whole planet.

After listening to her Kylian was left bewildered, he was worried, and somewhere his horizon had expanded, this planet looked just like a stepping stone to him now.

Basically what he understood about cultivation was-

There were mainly two processes of cultivation, first through consumption of soul energy.

This process mainly works on the body of the cultivator, giving him/her unparalleled strength, but such species lacks mana which results in weak skill. This was only suitable for Demons races and other races related to demon blood.

The other process of cultivation was used throughout the universe. It was to absorb mana energy of the planet's core. Although there are many variants too such as one could consume the monster core or different mana stone, but the most basic is through mana energy from the environment.

The power level of both types of cultivators were completely different, and could not be compared-:

Medium Rank Demon- Low, Medium and Peak, Transformation

Higher Rank Demon- Low, Medium and Peak, Transformation

On the other hand the other side can go a long way so Chepi had told him just about the initial rankings, as she has said on his planet there won't be any above master.

Although Kylian consumed soul energy and his level increase would focus more on his physical attribute and his mana pool would not be exceptional, but he was not completely a demon, he was an abnormality due to the system.

The space that Kylian was transported to earlier, was called the sea of consciousness, which was used by cultivators to increase their mana reserves and hence grow in power, this space could only be accessed by Warrior-2 cultivators or above.

Even though Kylian had somehow developed The sea of consciousness but Chepi had made it clear it was a glitch in the system.

"By the way, have you told me everything I need to know about the system ?" Kylian was unsure, he felt she had still left many a things, especially about system.

"Yeah, all that is needed for you to know." Chepi replied, without even a second thought.
