CHAPTER 4: The Hole!

It has been 2 weeks since the Wall Maria was attacked and the refugees are still coming. The atmosphere is pretty dark and gloomy. Some people killed themselves and people who don't have a will to kill themselves become not moving corpses.

" Line up. Follow me. " The captain of Garrison Unit said as there are lines of refugees. It's a normal process.

Refugees are needed to work at the farms and it is literally impossible for the government to feed a thousand of people. From the start, the foods are not plenty so the government could only feed for 5 days to refugees. If refugees don't work on farms, they simply don't get food at all.

" You kids need work more. Take this. " A soldier said as Izanami replied with a smile. Izanami received hard bread from the soldier.

" Thank you. " He politely thanked and he is not like other people who look gloomy and depressing. Izanami looks cheerful and helpful personality so a lot of people like him and he gets a good side from everyone.

" Here! This is for Lily's sister. " Izanami does not take the bread and he gives it to other people. He sees 5 years old kid and her mother who is pregnant so she can not work at all.

The mother and child look like skeletons because they didn't get enough food. That is not a rare case . Most people didn't get enough food and other people bully to get the food from them.

" Thank you so much, Iza. Yui thanks to your brother " The mother thanked to him as she feeds it to get daughter and Yui also thanked to him with a frightened look. It looks like Yui also got a lot of trauma and she has a very pitiful look.

" Eat slowly. The bread is hard. Then, this big brother will go now. " Izanami said and he pats the head of Yui and she is eating the hard bread very quickly.

" Emi " Izanami suddenly remembers his little sister and there is a very powerful pain in his heart. He knows that this pain will never go away and stays inside his heart forever.

" Focus. " He slapped his cheeks as he starts to follow the lines and there are a lot of people.

The time is around 8:00 am and refugees work until 8 p.m. Of course, there are breaks and the rules are not that strict but there are a lot of soldiers from the Garrison Units to oversee the refugees and they are quite bullies.

Izanami helped other people to complete their jobs from time to time. He is very active and helpful person. There are only breakfast and dinner for the refugees. Most of the time, there is no dinner or breakfast to reduce the giving the foods.

" Very tiring. " Izanami muttered and when he came back to his tiny shelter, the time is already 8:00 pm and the sky is already dark.

" Well, I should leave from this place at midnight. " He muttered and he is planning to leave from here tonight. He is going to back his house and he needs to see some books. The second reason is to give proper burial to his family. If he can not do that much, how he could move forward.

" Hope, my answer is lie there. " He muttered and his eyes are filled with a strong will. There are books in his house passed down by ancestors and Izanami believes that his some answers will lie there.

" I wonder if I only get 13 years to live or Ymir's curse is not affected on me. " He thought as he is very afraid to find out but he needs to face his reality. He has a guess on his mind but he wants to find out it with his own eyes. His mother didn't mention it in the paths and he wants to find out it very badly.

He quickly eats some foods which he stored these past days. He had been planning this since he reached here and he became friends with many people so he heard the rumor that there is a hole on Wall Rose, and it is very closed to the place where they live, and he is going there tonight to see it. If he can leave the Wall Rose from the hole, he will go to his house. If he can not, he will find another way. He is not that much hurry up.

He falls asleep very quickly because he is very tired. He has been working for the whole day. He also needs energy to transform into the titan. He could not go on foot because there are around 20 to 25 miles distance between Wall Rose and Wall Maria. So he needs to transform into the titans and returns his house. He also needs to practice transforming into the titan and he has a lot of things to do.

" Mmhh.. " He slowly opens his eyes and the sky is still dark. He has a very good biological clock so he can wake up whatever he wants.

" Haaa... " He yawned as he quickly gets up from the muddy ground. He already prepared the package which wraps around with dirty clothing. There are 5 potatoes and 2 pieces of bread in the bag and he doesn't need to worry about water because there are a lot of farms across the fields which can be drunk.

" I did get a good sleep. A good job, me " He praised himself and he runs to the hole which he got from the whispers.

" It is fucking correct. " Izanami could see the tiny hole and he could see the other side. He has great difficulty to leave from the hole but he did it.

" Now, I only have to transform into the titans. " He muttered after walking for minutes. There are already a lot of titans but they could not see him because he is very tiny and very dark.

" Mom... " He muttered as he bites into his finger until it bled.
